I agree with their size system being messed up but what i dislike the most is that they are still selling the old heads on the new body even tho it makes them look a tad out of proportions >.< ....

 

I have been thinking about getting some IoS boys for a while now but I did not know there would be a Sale so I'm not prepared for it at all right now. There is a lot of information I would ideally want before buying anything, so I'll just post all my questions here and hope for the best...
I would really appreciate any answers I get.

1. How often do IoS have a Sale as big as this?
2. If I buy "Bel Canto"(not just the head) does it come with the "70Body" that can also be purchased separately?
3. If I buy a complete doll(Bel Canto) and an Infernale head in the same order, will it be shipped in the same box? (I'm just wondering if the head will be in a small box(like I have seen orders with just a head being shipped in) of it's own or if it will be in the same box as the body.)
4. Can Infernale fit on a IoS 70Body, or would that not work/look too "bad"?
5. Is it easier to find good bodies, that match in size and skin color, for Infernale in NS or WS?
6. Are there any "popular" non-IoS bodies for Infernale and Bel Canto?
7. Is there anything else that I might need to know about these particular sculpts?
8. This old and new head thing, how does it effect Bel Canto and Infernale? Will Bel Canto on the IoS 70Body not look like in his pictures? Is Infernale's head smaller now or the big version?

Pictures that are related to my questions would be great.

 

@Doko : The class 80s (Infernale, lacrimosa etc etc) USED to fit on the old 70 bodies. The 80s heads were a tad big for the old 70 bodies but it didnt look too bad and could be fixed with baggier clothes and wigs. However, since they dropped the size of the new 70cm bodies, i can safely assure u that the 80s heads will not fit the new 70 body ^^" ... I'm currently having problems getting the old 70s head to fit on the new 70s body.. let alone the 80s head >.<

Bel canto should be fine on the new 70s body as he was advertised with it but u will have to look into getting another body for the infernale head.

 

1. Never seen one like it before. I'm guessing it's their 10 year anniversary and pre girl body release sale
2. if you buy a complete Bel canto it should come with the same body as they are currently selling as they claim that the old one is too damaged (I find it hard to believe since they have lied before - see "S" and never coming back again, and discontinued sculpts that have been for sale ever since).
3. Ask them, just to make sure but when I bought a Blood (full doll) and Lacrimosa head in the same order, blood came in his own box and Lacrimosa head in a head box.

I'm wondering how looks the old 70 heads in new 70 (68) body?

 

I just ordered a Blood through their anniversary sale. Does anyone know how long their orders normally take?

Paxita, once the bodies reach me I can show off Jag and Shadow (and comparison pics for blood and lacrimosa) but I sure hope they fit. Else I will be reeeeally fuming mad with IOS.


Btw, sorry for bringing it up here but I figured that maybe someone in here knew.. Why are the genital areas on the guys so... off?
You know, I'm not asking for detail or so (although I wouldn't mind it either) but sizewise and shapewise and stuff - it's like.. wth is that? Is there any reason they started making them like that? (I mean - they could've just made them genderless if they didn't want to shape anything realistic )

 

Are you kidding me? I don't get paid until the 15th. Anyone know how long the sale is for and if they are going to offer layaway with it?

Edit: Nevermind. I hopped my ass on over to the website. While I was there I had to check out th 70 cm weiner, lol. It does look a little weird. I'm starting to rethink using Nova as Ichigo now that I've seen him blank.

 

Sales until april, but they may cut it short if they receive too many orders to handle. And yes they are offering layaways with the sale.

As for the male parts... I dont think it looks TOO horrible... And they would have clothes on most of the time so.. It doesnt really matter that much ? I think u should be more concerned abt getting the heads to fit on the body ^^|| ...

I know what you mean. I really don't need anymore dolls right now, not when I have floating heads, but that price is so hard to pass up. My dolls could also use clothes and the like when I do get them bodies.

However, the head size thing is still confusing me.

Where can I look to find out if the head is old/big or new/small?
When I browse their site and is on a doll's page, all I see is pictures and the price, and what skin color to buy.

I want to buy a Bel Canto(full doll), a Tauros head and a Chaos head.
Will all those heads fit Bel Canto's body?

Also, does anyone know if the New Normal matches with Volks Normal Skin?

 

@Doko : as far as i know, IOS has stopped providing details or head sizes. The only thing the website does tell us is what size of eyes are suitable for the head and the wig size >.< ...

The tauros head will definately fit bel canto's body as it was used in the promo picture for tauros but im not too sure about chaos as he is one of the older heads.. He might fit but i wouldnt get my hopes up.

Colour wise... i cant stay for sure but im under the impression that volks is more yellow base and IOS new normal is more pink base so it might not match... can someone else verify this ?

 

Now I'm Reading this and... I have a question - I want Anima and the New body... Wilk it be compatibile? I don't want old body D:

 

Anima is an old head so its a tad risky ... If you dont mind the head being a little bigger than the body, then you should be ok.

Theres no way to get the old body anymore since IOS doesnt offer it, unless you were to look for it in the second hand market. All the 70cm dolls come with the new body now >.< ...

Does anyone think or know if a class 70 head will fit on a class 60 body? They have the same diameter head. I want to order sezz (a class 70) but I think he'll be too tall for my 60cm Iplehouse girl ><

 

The current 70cm body is really small... so you might not have to worry about the height difference... but from what i heard, Sezz was initially created to be interchangeable between the old 70cm and 60cm bodies. I've posted a picture of Sezz on the new body a few pages forward... I personally feel that the sezz head is too big for the new 70 body and the 60 body is smaller than that (not by much tho) so maybe you can use that as a reference ? Proportions really defers between individuals tho so you may be ok with head and body proportions ^^"

 

Actually I think your right...It seems like he is just a head taller than her (I think his chin would reach the tip of her head) so It wouldn't be too tall for them to pose together...

His head would probably look the same proportionally I'm guessing though, because IOS has the same shoulder to shoulder width between 70cm and 60 cm (which is probably why his head looks so big)

 

Yea, i find it weird that they would make the new 70's shoulder the same as the 60s.. But they are kind adown sizing the newer heads so its not so much of a problem there..

The head might look bigger on the 60 body tho cuz its shorter and the chest is slightly smaller

i'm new to IOS, eventhough i was in love with their heads before the renewed the web site, anyway now i'm looking to buy at least one head, cause due to a very long layway and another one already running i cannot afford the whole doll, i'm wondering if Lacrimosa is the same mold of A2 or A1, cause i notice some similiarties between the mold. I was in love with Infernale when he was launched, but i don't know if i should get him cause the tongue makes his expression boring in the long run
