Immortality of Soul (IOS) Waiting Room v.2!

I like the idea of having a list in the thread!

Just a question - would it be possible to have it in a seperate "sticky" post that's always on top of the new ones? That way we could leave all information on (updated) doll orders in it for as long as the thread runs. It would give us more information about the time it usually takes from ordering to delivery, while we can have the usual fun waiting room discussion in the posts below. What do you think?

Well if you think about it, if every company had a sticky post, some would be very, very, very long at the top. You would be scrolling through an entire page of order info just to get to the posts.

Besides how relevant is a year old shipping information? ( which is the reason , really, to do these lists. To see how long the company seems to be taking with their orders.) I can see a pool of about six months worth of info being helpful, but after a while the list would just go on and on and people wouldn't be even looking at info from over two years ago.



I mean I see the want for the convenience, but unless it was set up to delete certain entries at are really old I can't see it working.

Besides I don't think vbullten allows for such complex htlm coding in their forums. It would have to be like a post that everyone can modify.

Is it too early? Still no notices about shipping so I'm just being paranoid, lol!
I hope to see him soon and I'll probably be bouncing like a rabbit once I see that
status change to "On Shipping" lol!

 

Infernale should be going out in just another few days! He is scheduled to ship the 31 of this month.

Lets hope he does!

Hmm .... very, very long lists would be a bit of a pain, true! I had a look at one of the old DOD waiting rooms were the first post was list covering the entire time the thread run and it wasn't all that long. But of course if it was Soom and they had a range of specials and events on, such a list would sure be very long.

Basically there were two reasons why I posted this idea.
I liked your sugesstion of having a list to make it easier to follow doll orders and arrivals. It's fun to know how many active members are waiting for the same doll and important to know if the waiting time is about the same for all folks that ordered.
We also had a few people that wanted to know how long it normally takes from ordering to delivery. If we delete orders two weeks after the arrival date, this kind of information will be lost and we'll be back to searching the thread for information.
Some companies seem to have very long waiting times. Before making up my mind about putting an order in, I would find it very helpful if there was a way to find out whether this happened just a few times or if it is a regular thing.
I wondered if it is even possible to have a sticky post that everyone can edit. Having a link to an external spread sheet might be an option. If we put the list on Google drive, everyone could edit it. It's possible to sort it decreasingly by order date, so that everyone that isn't interested in the old information won't have to scroll all the way down to the end of the list.

The second reason was that I came across some waiting rooms that seemed to consist mainly of a list that gets copied, extended and edited from post to post. We had so much fun here discussing all aspects of the wait for our dolls. Keeping the list somewhat separate from the rest of the discussion it won't take over, and nobody can get the impression that ordering and shipping data is all we ever post here.

But of course these are only my two cents. My boy is home , and it might be a while before I order another one.

But I believe someone mentioned in the discussionthread that all the Infernales should be shipped out by June 14th! Here's to hoping they get sent out soon.


Our boy's name is going to be Salvurien. He's the head vamp in our story verse.

 

So will they be shipped on the 31st and arrive BY June 14th, or shipped no later than June 14th?

They usually mean that they will complete filling orders and have all the dolls sent out before Jume14th. Its up to the post office for when they arrive.

I have just received an e-mail,where they say to me that send my Infernale (head with face up and body)

 

Mine showed up today! ^^ It says on the box he was shipped the 24th. White skin head only. Love him! His nose is really pointy, more pointy than it looks in the stock photos, but I don't mind too much. Although I was a little bit disappointed in the wig. It's too poofy, so I have to work on it, and it seems to only part in the middle. It also doesn't have any white streaks in it, which I had wanted. :/

What body will you get for him? How big is his head in comparison to other SD/70+ dolls?

I got my Infernale and he is really what was waiting for. I put him on Soom Phonolus beast body. It's works. IOS ws skintone is a little bit pinker than Soom's yellow ws but parts looks pretty good together. I hope I'll be able to make some technical photos tomorrow.

His head is a little smaller than Soom Ideallian head (I compared with Gluino). It will work on SD70+ bodies perfectly.

My Infernale arrived today

I picked up my head from the customs today. He is great. I'm bit surprised about the wig, it's black-brown.... it looked grey on the promo pics, at least on my computer.... What colours did you get?

 

I got my boy Tuesday but have been too busy to update. I'll hoping to give him a face up really soon. Honestly His head is smaller then I thought it would be. I can only imagine how ridiculously small it would look on an 80cm body.

 

Yeah that's what everyone has been saying. I'm glad though, I wouldn't mind the 70cm body at all!

I didn't get the wig since it was too pricey for me to not know of it's quality and this is why I didn't. I prefer to get
my wigs from Luts so I purchased a black straight one for him. Heck it arrived before he did, lol!

I got my head, but I've been really busy...so alittle late on the update. He's going to be painted to be an alternate head for my DZ Edward. I can't wait, he's going to look so scary....I loves it. *-* The detail on this head and his tongues make me very happy with the purchase.

 

I know some of you were asking how I was going to do my face us, so here is a picture of how my boy came out:

 

He is absolutely stunning and gorgeous.

 

Thanks I hope to get him the IOS 80cm body someday. . . Perhaps the next time they sell an 80cm someone will want to split. If not, I'll have to do some research and look around.
His magnets aren't that strong, actually. The bottom magnet is fine, but on top he has a little resin hook instead of a magnet and it makes his head cap wiggle. It's not really a problem, but it annoys me to no end.

 

When I bought my Infernale head, I asked IOS about selling the 80ies body separately at a later time and they answered that you can ask for a single 80ies body whenever a 80ies boy is in his selling period. They told me to ask for the body during these periods through the Q&A. So you don't have to wait for a split, if they will do it that way.

Hey Quick question, (sorry haven't been up to date on this waiting room, so if already asked I apologize.) Did any of you who ordered just the infernale head get a piece of paper/ COA with their head besides just the invoice slip? Unfortunately I have to part with mine and I didn't get one. Not sure if this is how I.O.S. did it with this batch or if I have to email them to send me one. let me know and thanks in advance.

 

I thought that too, PowerandWeakness, but it's a card that's hidden in a slit in the foam of the box. Just prod around the foam with your fingers and you should find it. It's a black card with their logo and his picture on it.

Yeah as dragonof15 said, there's a little card, like a credit card, located in the box next to the where the head is kept. It has his birthday and picture and it was pretty hidden so at first I was a little freaked out when I noticed that I didn't see it, lol! It should be there though

 

Thanks everyone, I FOUND IT!!! (phew...) I'm new to I.O.S. so I wasn't sure how they did the COA's. THanks again for letting me know, ASAP. You guys Rock! (yes, it was hidden in a cut slit in the foam padding above the head. )

 

My Anos has been shipped and has already made it to customs in my country! I am beyond excited for him! He is the doll who got me interested in BJDs 3 years ago, and his owner just put him up for sale. So it's understandable that I had decided to buy him about 3 minutes after finding that out! He'll be my 3rd BJD, my 2nd boy, and my first hybrid. An IOS head on a Popodoll body with excellent resin matching. I can't wait for him to get here!!
