Well, I did sit and camp out waiting for the sale to start hehe. So pretty sure I was one of the first to order. But I also bugged them a few times asking about the shipping dates, so maybe they were also just trying to shut me up.

 

I was one of the first to order too, but has payed just 31.10.
Maybe I need to mail him too

 

Dirili, what date did you purchase your Stille? I have been checking the website every day since I got the January 20th email from IOS stating that the clothing set for Stille won't be shipped until late February! The notice gave no indication when the doll was going to be shipped. In fact I just checked my order now and it says "before shipping"! Did you purchase the clothing set and wig also?

I paid in full for Stille and his clothing on October 31, same day as tenma did - wasn't that the first day he was available? I can never figure out how these companies determine which dolls ship first. My experience, though limited to Soom and Iple, has been when I've paid in full on the first day of availability, I have been one of the first to get the doll. I'd sure like to know when my Stille will ship.

It was a bit of a roller-coaster, but I managed to order my favourite - sweet S in NS.
I am curious to know what everybody is plannig for their dolls.

I ordered Stille 31.10 at 02:35 (it is from order info), but paid only two days later.

 

I purchased mine 10-31, the second he was available and payed for him right away. I didn't order anything at all with him, no faceup or clothes or wig or anything, so that could possibly have something to do with it too. I like to make my own clothes, do my own faceups and have lots of wigs and eyes sitting around hehe. I definitely imagine ordering a faceup and the clothes set will delay him for people who ordered those especially since they delayed the clothing shipping till February.

Did anyone else order Stille blank with no accessories? I hope you all get your shipping notices soon.

I was surprised to get the shipping notice on a Saturday. I had asked them 3 times about his shipping since the original ship date passed and the last time they said he was definitely shipping shipping this past week but I gave up hope when Friday passed since I was sure they wouldn't ship him Saturday. Happy surprise!

 

I got mine blank without anything, but I ended up doing layaway, so that probably pushed me back in the queue. :b

 

I order Stille with wig and pants. Face-up option was not available.

In a mail from IOS which I received last week was written: [FONT=&quot]''For now, We can send [/FONT][FONT=&quot]STILLE(Body+Head) , Wig for STILLE [/FONT][FONT=&quot]first, and let us send you the clothes on February 20th for free shipping.[/FONT]''
I replied that I agree.

Maybe they send it next week.
I hope so.

 

I, too, ordered Stille, wig, complete oufit. Face up option not available so that should not impact shipping time as it usually does with other companies. I got the same notice, dated January 20 at 8:40am. (I didn't respond becuz I figured that they didn't need a response - I might send out a "thank you for letting me know" email today just so they know I exist). I also paid in full for everything on October 31 at 00:59 so I was an early bird! Getting the notice about delay in shipping the clothing should have no impact on shipping date of our dolls.

I never got a shipping notice on Anarmonia. He showed up as a complete surprise! Maybe some of us will not get shipping notices and one day next week a very large box will appear!!

If I have no notice and no doll by Friday February 1, I will feel justified in emailing them and asking what the problem is - because by that time all of us should have at least a shipping notice. The dolls are obviously read to ship.

 

I wouldn't be surprised at all if other dolls have already been shipped with no notices. They probably only sent me one because they were like "For godsake, someone send that woman a shipping notice before she emails us again!"

The last time I asked them about the shipping, they said my doll had been ready the previous week, but due to illness and busy-ness they hadn't had time to pack and mail him out yet.

 

Oh my... now I'm getting worried. Thought that IOS is quite strict when it comes to production and shipping deadline. I hope there wont be any problem with my Osiris, though I can be very patient ( it took 9 months for my first doll (dz mo) to reach home and i bought another one while waiting)...

Yay! Just checked again this morning and Stille is "On Shipping"! Hope everyone's shows the same! Now, customs, then home!

My stille arrived super fast! Got him yesterday and he matches my NS Sabik (2011? batch) really closely. ^.^ Stille looks pretty good on the MA body too since his head is tiny compared to Sabik's. May dremel out Stille's neck hole more since he sits a bit high on the neck, but it's good enough for my tastes.

 

Congrats! Would love to see pics when you can take some ^_^

 

No problem currently sanding and blushing them, so hopefully I can post some soon.

 

erg, I'm so jealous! It's too cold outside and I don't have enough ventilation indoors to blush my newer dolls for a few months T_T

 

Dirili - I'm in the same boat! I have several new dolls that have come in the past few months, and quite a few are waiting for good faceup weather.
But I thank you for those blank sculpt photos! Those really help me get a better feel for him. Thanks!

I got shipping notice on my Shaggy (Stille), the 31st! He's already in Chicago, and looks like he might make it home on Monday! If not, Tuesday for sure. Since those are my days off, I'm pretty thrilled!

Edit: Dude was impatient and arrived today! But... I was at work, so I will go get him on Monday first thing! ^___^

 

Well guess who arrived Friday? Trevor, my Stille! At first I wasn't impressed and very tempted to sell him, but while taking his pictures and trying on different wigs, and seeing how very very expressive he is, I totally fell in love with him. I posted a picture over in the discussion group (was afraid to post more than one) but there are more pics of him in my Flickr. I will be spamming him a lot over there because he is such a joy to photograph.

 

Yep, we're definitely in the same boat aernath! By the time the weather warms up, I should have 5 dolls that need painting.

Well, I grabbed my boy early this morning (6am), and we settled on brown eyes and the Stille wig. He'll be the perfect Shaggy!
I finally found the shirt of mine that I want to make his shirt out of, and now to find material for his pants. Supposed to be brown corduroy. :p
In the meantime, he's lounging around buck naked...

 

With the Stille shipping notices seeming to be going out regular now, I wonder if that means it's not much more of a wait for Osiris. :3

Aernath - Oh my! Well around here, some of the dolls would not be complaining. (and neither would I! Those 80's are gorgeously sculpted!)

 

I love the Russian theme, and Sasha and Ilya are great names. I also looked for a wig similar to the long, curly one on the IOS website but didn't find exactly what I wanted. In the end I bought two wigs that I want to try on Tassilo (my S). The green butterfly eyes you mentioned are great, but the sparkly blue and green ones look good too. This way the twins will have similar eyes. I still haven't decided on eyes for Taz. There are amazing Mystics and Gumdrops. No problem finding great ones there, but I don't want to spent that much money without having any experience in fitting dolls eyes. Now I am thinking about acrylics or soft glass and narrowed it down to seven. What do you think?

Sorry to hear that the blue eyes didn't turn out like they looked in the picture. I thought they would be darker around the rim. If you don't like them at all, then maybe a pair of those cute butterfly eyes would work for Sasha. I saw on the soul doll website that they make blue ones too!
Thank you for your input on the eyes! I didn't notice that B and E would work well with either wig. That is very helpful! I found the eyes on the safrin doll website and first got hooked on D. Now when comparing all seven eyes, I think that D is almost too lovely for a boy. After all, when he whispers to me he seems to be a sweety, but he can be quite opinionated (I wanted to get him a laptop for example, but he insists on an ipad ). Maybe D is more suited for a cute little girl ... I really like the dark sea blue ones (B). E are faszinating too. I saw a picture of those in a doll with smaller eyes similar to S's and they looked really nice. I might end up ordering both pairs. B are acrylics and only 10$ and shipping to NZ is available for 7$. E are from eyeco and cost a little more. What size did you go for? I think I like the look of a little larger irises, but safrin doll acrylics come with larger irises anyway. While 14mm eyeco eyes have 7.5mm irises, 14mm sd acrylics have 7.8mm irises. Eyeco 12mm have 6.2mm irises and 12mm sd acrylics have 7mm ones. I think I'd go for 14mm eyecos, but I am not sure about the sd arcylics. Would 14mm be too large?
I am undecided about eye lashes and face-up at the moment. The pics that I posted are just from the dealer's website. It's hard for me to picture how the eyes might look in a doll, so I downloaded these pics. If I give him lashes, I'd like them to be a little shorter. I have to browse for face-up options again. I've got two artists in mind at the moment. Like for the eyes, my first choice is very expensive, so I might end up opting for something else. I'll post about face-ups later

I'm looking forward to seeing Ilya's wig! It's such a cute idea to let him be blond like his twin, but with his hair dyed black.

A update has been posted saying they have started shipping Osiris and Chaos. Woohoo! Waiting anxiously for my notice email now. :3

 

Huzzah! My Osiris has shipped!!!! Now to just figure out what pants fit the poor thing and hope the Class80 head fits like I'm hoping it will.

Please post pictures of the Class70/80 hybrid. Can't wait to see the one. Comparing head sizes, it should work very well imo.

 

Batchculture - Yes, a combo with Anarmonia. I will be happy to share photos of how it works out upon his arrival. ^_^ I just hope there isn't too much gapping at the neck, that's pretty much my only worry.

 

I really don't think there will be much of a gap. The diameter of the neck should differ only by a few mm (about 0.1 inch).

(and I know where you got those eyes from! lol They're really nice! I got a couple pair from the same place a month or so ago. I don't know about them yellowing, but I'm not worried either. )

 

Oh - I like those eyes! Very nice! And now I am not worried about eye size any more. It looks like yours have a little larger irises as well. I ended up ordering 14mm ones too. Model B and E in my previous post. Couldn't narrow it down any further and decided to try both. I got him his iPad too, so poor Taz has something to play with when he gets here. I am busy knitting a sweater for him and signed up for the sewing project here. I want to make some basics for Taz. The thread is a lot of fun - great motivation too. So far I posted about ideas and materials. More to come soon.
Still thinking about face-ups and I am a bit nervous about sending the head halfway around the world. But as far as I know there is only one option available here in NZ. It's rather expensive, new, has few work examples and little feedback, ...

Ooh he certainly is popular I fell in love when I saw the first teaser pics last year, he's perfect for my OC Wrath. Unfortunately he'll be a floaty head for quite a while until I can afford a body - I so wish I'd had enough for the full doll.

 

Wow congrats on all the new orders! I can't wait to see them when they come in. That sculpt is so impressive. If I collected the big fantasy boys he'd probably be on the wish list.

I hope the wait flies by for everyone! I'm just a month and change into waiting for my little M...but hopefully they will start shipping in next couple weeks according to schedule.
