sorry to be off topic but ...um actually... no. thats not true, its a common myth about copyright but its not actually true both quotes from http://www.copyright.gov but anyway 'fair use' is a tricky grey area at best, but in general if you're looking to make a profit (like I assume a doll company would want to) you're less likely to get away with 'fair use'
The 30% rule is a myth. A persistent, perpetuating myth, but a MYTH. There is no "percentage" by which you can change a work and call it your own: all derivative works are copyright violations! See: http://painting.about.com/cs/artistscopyright/f/copyrightfaq6.htm http://www.utsystem.edu/OGC/INTELLECTUALPROPERTY/distance.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html http://users.goldengate.net/~kbrady/copyright.html Sorry, but the persistence of this 30% myth drives me absolutely batty. ETA: Thanks, Vulpes, you beat me to it.
I was getting frustrated and wasn't going to post anything for awhile util I read rikki-mew-chan's post. I think it's sad that just because I share my communicaitions with top_sincerity with the forum and that I speak up for them, I am deemed suspicious and my post untrustworthy by some people. Instead of being welcomed as a new of DOA, that had become another reason for some people to think that I have an what? ulterior motive? And what would that be, pray tell? For those that think because I am new here, I am for the doll manufacturor and the Ebay seller that I am out to do whatever......, please read my posts before asking me to prove myself that I am not what you suspect me of, whatever that may be. If you don't trust my posts, are suspicious of me, or think I'm here to get something from you or anybody, just put me on your ignored list. I will continue to report my progress with AOD/top_sincerity for anybody that cares. Well, I feel better now that I have vented! For those that are interested, I just paid for the two dolls by Paypal, and AOD/M. Zhang will be sending them out in a week. Just to be on the safe side, let's give them a couple of weeks. I'll post the pictures of the dolls once I receive them.
I'll be waiting to hear your report Venture-1 and let me say this "Welcome~!" people can easily get upset here especially when there's a chance someone is being scammed. Just stick with it and let us know how it goes
Hey venture-1 I don't know that anyone meant it as a personal attack. I hope not, anyway.. If you read some of the sticky sagas in the marketplace area (can you get there, yet?) I think you'll see exactly why people are on edge. There have been horrible, nasty things going on in the time I've been at this -- 10 months or so (is that ALL?). People being bilked out of all sorts of money, people being sold dolls with all manner of undisclosed damage, just basic nastiness. - and *expensive* nastiness. I think you have been doing something that you thought would be useful. And to many people, it has been, quite! I also think rikki-mew-chan was just pointing out a real possibility - with so many people contacting the seller (not just you) and with English language ability varying so much, even amongh native speakers, there has been a *potential* for even more confusion than otherwise. Hang in there, and I for one will be looking forward to pictures of your new dolls!
Thanks for the posts of encouragement. I mentioned rikki-mew-chan's post, because her (if i'm wrong, pls forgive me) words regained some of the faith I had for this forum. I try not to take things on this thread personal but when the somone writes "I distrust venture-1's posts the most', and "one thing I find very suspicious,venture-1, is why did you join the forum just as we started this thread" or something to that effect , I can't help but take it personal. Do I have 100% confidence that Mr. Zhang is the manufacturer and in turn is the seller top_sincerity on Ebay? Heck no, not 100%! After all, I've never met the gentleman, I don't know the company personally and we are half around the word apart. However, from my research (yes, I do do my due diligence) both in Chinese and English, and my corresponsdences with him, I feel that this is a hardworking person from a genuine company trying to make it in a world that is completely "foreign", in every sense of the word, to him. I am willing to bet on my gut instinct and my understanding of this company and trust them with my money. Will I become an agent? I don't know. Not because I don't have enough faith in AOD/top_sincerity, but because we never even discussed the details yet. No terms, no prices, no contracts, nothing. At this point, both parties have an understanding that I am interested in becoming an agent but I need to have something concrete in my hands first. I email him about the concerns and questions people have on this forum, and he answers them and sometimes ask that I help to convey some of his messages to the forum. In all honesty, will they want to sign me up as an agent? I don't know that either. After all, I have no doll selling experience, I don't owe a store, and I plan to do this part-time. Just some food for thought. Let's think positive and again, only time will tell. Once again, thanks chibikarin and Baakay for your encourgements.
To those interested, I emailed their boss yesterday and today she replied me saying that they have an agent for the dolls in Singapore. I just emailed the agent and hopefully she can reply soon to prove they are a trustworthy company. For those who are interested (especially singaporeans), here is the email she replied: 爱芬: 您好, 謝謝關注AOD娃娃,在新加坡AOD有一位代理商,她的 MSN:,娃娃和娃娃配件都可以從她那購買到。具體 事宜請同她聯系為謝。 A not very good translation: (Hi, thanks for your interest in AOD dolls. We have an agent in Singapore. Her MSN is . You can get the dolls and accessories from here. For more info please contact her. ) I just accessed their forums and some taobao website and some of them seem to have gotten their dolls. I will help to keep a look out and do some translations if there's any need, so as to ease the tensions around here, and also i am really interested in their dolls >.<
well, it looks like things are becoming more sensible. I hope those who have ordered dolls will have them soon and be able to post more pics and evaluations. I still love the look of the dolls, so I hope that the agents or agents-to-be will be taking orders soon.
By the way, perhaps people who are considering the dolls may want to wait for a while more. There's a thread in the forums talking about the dolls weird mould. "孩子的身体怎么有些奇怪 最近想接娃,四处看。这女孩子的腿根是不是太凹了。还有男孩子[貌似只能传一张图] 那个叫真的孩子挺明显,小臂比上臂粗,是拍照视角问题吗?真的第一张好明显,但是后面有一张择没那么显眼,所以有些乱。假如真的那样有办法打磨吗?其他的孩子还没仔细看。希望可以顺利接到自己喜欢的孩子。" Basically its talking about some weird parts of the body such as the leg and arm being too thick etc... From one of the replies (whom i believe is one of their staff), it seems that because its the first batch, that's why there's some not so good parts. But they also stated they will keep on improving and make changes. Link to thread So yah, maybe you guys wanna wait a while more for their more improved dolls.=)
Thanks for the updates Aeth-chan I will definately keep an eye on these dolls I love it when there are new minis
Perhaps you guys would like to take a look at this thread to show that buyers actually recieve their dolls. Link here I hope this eases the tension around here a bit. I am looking forward to venture-1's pictures of the new dolls. =D
PancakeGenocide>> My girl poses pretty well, both her arms are legs are double jointed. But it'll take some patience and balancing when I try to make her stand. ^^;; Her knees tend to give way when I move her a little. It could be due to the stringing though, since I have been too busy lately to restring her. @__@ Here's more pictures of her as well as couple of closeups of her joints and body. ^^
Aeth-chan>> I believe you emailed me. XD I'm located in Singapore, but I'm also AOD's international agent. You may contact me via MSN if you wish, but if it's e-mails, please send them to if it's not too much trouble. ^^ Just incase I delete the emails accidentally as I receive a lot of spam in that account. @__@ Oh, and I've replied your mail. ^^ If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me~
izumiyavi, thaks for all the photos. I really love her and will order one as soon as you're open for orders. M
SWEET!!! I was informed wrong then...thanks Cassiel and vulpes. *evil laugh* Now there are a few people I have to go get on about stealing my art...hehehehe...you guys made my day Awwww...thanks you made my day too...and you are right I am of the girl persuation.
AOD has posted pix of their 1/3 dolls on the Chinese site. The web address is www.aoddoll.com. If you don't read Chinese: click on 1/3娃娃 for the 60 cm dolls, 1/4娃娃 for the 44 cm dolls, and 裸娃展示 for the naked (for lack of better word, sorry) dolls. Nice dolls. Go to 裸娃展示 and you can get a better picture of Ming and one of the larger girls. I really really like the face of that girl.
Mr. Zhang sent me several photos of the 1/3 dolls which most of them are on the Chinese site. They are now working on updating the pix for the 1/4 dolls. WIth his permission I'm posting two pictures that I believe you will nto see on www.aoldoll.com Again, this forum thing is new to me, so if I have trouble posting the photos, please bear with me. [/IMG]
^_^;; easier to stick in one post rather than three? pics are kinda huge... but thank you! They look GORGEOUS there, beautiful dolls and photos. I rather like the faceups there.
They also have pictures of Ming and I don't think it's the same sculpt. I believe the pix on Ebay is the 1/3 doll -Dust, and Ming although has the same half opened eyes, has a more mature and longer face than Ming. I still like him and he still has that very Asian feel to him. Maybe it's after seeing pictures of "Dust", but I think I like Ming better bold and maybe dressed in a more Asian like clothes. What do you guys think? By the way, they have just fallen victim to phishing. Yesterday they recevied an email asking them to verify their Ebay account information and they did. Mr. Zhang asked me about it when he was emailing me pictures of the dolls, because he hadn't received any reply from Ebay and he was wondering if there was anything else he needed to do. Being on Ebay this many years, I informed the poor guy to be careful and that it could be a fake email and to check his EBAY inbox to see if he can find the same email there. Unfortunately, he didnt see anything in his mailbox. He has no choice but to change their account info on Ebay, and he changed both the seller ID and password. If I were him I would have changed only the password or maybe change my ID just slightly so that people will still recognize it, but I think this is the first they've had happened, and they got scared. For AOD, this launching of their dolls into the international market has been one long and bumpy road, and I really feel them. It's always bad to change seller id, and this is especially true for them a this point, but I guess they didn't have time to think about that. Anyway, I know he changed the seller ID when he changed his acct info with Ebay but the email address is still the same. Uneide - This a learning process for me, and I'm try, really! Please be patient with me and I'll try to learn as fast as I can.
I am really sorry but i just have to say this and i mean no harm to you venture1 but if this company and or Mr Chang/Zhang or whoever don't make their minds up about what doll is what and for sale where and keep to the same name etc etc etc they are never going to get any custom. My head is spinning with the constant changes. So those bidding on 'Ming' on eBay are in fact not bidding on that actual doll sculpt at all - it is a completely different one?
Mamehisa, I may have confused you when I brought up the name "Dust". That's my translation of the name from Chinese. Just as Mr. Chang/Zhang, if you read Chinese, it's the same Chinese character with different spellings. I'm sure anybody capable of ready Chinese will vouch for that. I think it's a different sculpt because the heads look different to me. Go to the website and judge for yourself. AOD has been talking about putting up new pictures for Ming and other 1/3 dolls and I think they've just been using the pictures of one of the 1/4 dolls while they are working on the updates. I believe they thought since both dolls have similar feel to it that it would give people an idea what 1/3 doll looks like by showing the pics of 1/4 doll. Perhaps this is why they said that they are developing 1/3 ming in the Q&A section of the auction? Misleading? Yes. Stupid? Yes. Wrong? Yes. Deliberately out to cheat people? I don't think so. I think when we asked if the pics for the doll on the auction was for a 1/3 doll, they, as in AOD, were thinking about the size and not the sculpt. People, please don't jump on me about this. I am only offering you info as they come to me, and sometimes I put my two cents in. I'm not an agent and I don't work for them. This company has started off on the wrong foot from the get go, and made several stupid mistakes along the way. There is definitely no doubt about that! I still think all that stems from their haste in trying to go international, and not maliciously out to cheat or scam people's money. If they had wanted to deliberatly mislead people I don't think they would release pictures of 1/3 Ming and asked me to let everyone know prior to the closing of their auctions on Ebay.
From Mamehisa: My head is spinning with the constant changes. Yours and mine both! I had to go through a third party just to get a yes/no answer. So those bidding on 'Ming' on eBay are in fact not bidding on that actual doll sculpt at all - it is a completely different one? Yup, and I'm not really happy about that. I saw the 60 cm doll pix last night; he is pretty but not what I was expecting. Should I win the auction I will keep him, but I still prefer the 1/4 Ming. And I can see where some of the controversy RE: Dollzone comes from. The 60 cm looks hauntingly like my DZ Mo-Wen. He is sitting right next to my computer; his face shape and the faceup are close BUT that is where the similarities end. There are too many major joint differences, body mold differences, etc. to even think this is a copy. That's beside the fact that one is 1/3 and the other is 1/4. I truly hope they can get their act together and become a reliable company. They do have promise, they just don't have any common sense at the moment.
Very confusing The Angel of Dream site shows their 1/3 scale dolls here: http://www.aoddoll.com/productsort.asp?id=34 As to which one is 1/3 "Ming", I can make a guess, but the 1/3 dolls don't have names listed, just g1, g2, b1, b2. "B1" has the half open looking eyes. The ebay auction 'AOD.BJD 1/3SUPER DOLLFIE MING. LooK...FREE FACE-UP..' http://cgi.ebay.com/AOD-BJD-1-3SUPE...0354086QQihZ003QQcategoryZ84635QQcmdZViewItem shows clothed pictures of 1/4 boy "Dust": http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?h...//www.aoddoll.com/showproduct.asp?id=82&tbb=1 and unpainted head of 1/4 boy "Really" http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?h...//www.aoddoll.com/showproduct.asp?id=81&tbb=1 (the names "Dust" and "Really" are the Chinese names translated using Google) So going by the pictures posted on the Angel of Dream site http://www.aoddoll.com/ the ebay seller is advertising a 1/3 doll for sale, and is showing pictures of two different 1/4 dolls. Technical notes: **You can have a 1/3 "version" of a 1/4 doll (much the way CP Luts Minifee El is a 1/4 version of Delf El) but they cannot be the same "sculpt" because they are two different sizes. The artist has to make two different sized sculptures. **Showing a picture of one doll (or in this case, 'dolls') and sending a different doll can open this ebay seller up for fraud, because the item the buyer receives is either "not as pictured" or "not as described". Good intentions aside, this ebay seller really needs to post pictures of the actual doll he is selling, or fix the description because if the official Angel of Dream site is correct (and I am assuming it is), this seller doesn't seem to know what doll he is selling and if he doesn't know that, then maybe he won't know how to address any problems that may occur during the transaction. Personally, I'd wait until a more organized vendor offers these dolls for sale. edit: realized this was beside the point, but pics of all the bodies here: (they have 2 sets of 1/4 bodies, haven't checked to see if there is differences, or if it is the same body with different heads) http://www.aoddoll.com/productsort.asp?id=41
"... they thought since both dolls have similar feel to it that it would give people an idea what 1/3 doll looks like by showing the pics of 1/4 doll." but they don't actually say this in their auction listing, and they have not yet added a revision or additional information. This would fall under the category of "bait and switch" which is clearly against ebay rules. Seems to me they should be aware of this and at least add the info now and give those bidding an opportunity to retract their bids. They cannot assume that anyone who has/will bid is on this forum. Not adding that info, especially since there are bids, and continuing to mislead the potential buyer is defintely not a good way to start off as a seller. I'm sure they don't want their first feedbacks to be negative and have their first sales all be reported as item significantly not as photo. Yet, this is a very likely scenario. "...prior to the closing of their auctions on Ebay." huh? their auctions ARE still up and running as of right now. And now having seen the new 1/3 pics on the site, I have to say I like the 1/4 a lot better - both faces and body
This is what i am meant about changing names Venture-1. Already they have changed from their eBay ID top-sincerity (or whatever it was) to sky18482310521. From top sincerity to pie-in-the-sky? Sorry for seeming sarcastic because i really wanted a Ming and desperately hoped that this company was new and would have some great new dolls available and feel a bit p*****d off that potential customers are being given the run-around already. Do you actually know 100% for sure that what the guy is telling you is true about his hijacked email account? It's too convenient for my liking and i will now walk off into the sunset and not bother with AoD (does that stand for Angst or Despair?) until they get themselves sorted out. Blimey. My first Rant ^_^
just saw those. I think they are the same body in 2 different resin colors. but... that is NOT the body that was shown in the 1/4 girl auction that ended yesterday (with several bids), so I'm still a bit concerned as to the discrepancy there.
I know the change of ID for a sure, because they changed it after I told them to check on their in message folder on Ebay. I was the one informing them about the possibility of phishing. At this point, I am getting kind of tired trying to do the damage control for them. They have so many mistakes and messes from the start and it just seems one after another. I don't know what else to say, except that I did say from the start, don't bid, don't buy, let me get the dolls first and then go from there. All I can say at this point is that, this company has dolls to sell but not "matured" enough for the international market yet.
Um, guys? http://www.aoddoll.com/showproduct.asp?id=91 The 1/3rd girl is a modded Delf. Look at the upper torso part and feet, they're identical. They put a lot of work into modifying every joint, but not enough to disguise it. I have no idea about the heads or the rest of the bodies, I just own a Lishe and know her body (especially the huge boobs) when I see it. This is really disgusting. Same exact feet, the tricky little ankle joint cap has been enlarged, details on legs sanded down. Torso hacked up, shoulder cups removed, just look at how little detail is in the bottom torso part...
I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree here. From the side by side picture, I'm not seeing anything that screams "complete bootleg!" to me, mainly in the torso. Torso: the neck muscles are an entirely different shape, as well as the breasts, the negra line/muscle line and the belly button are completely different and in a different location. The "undies" joint is much boxier then Lishe's. Legs: I agree that they are similar in shape, but the top joint, the knees, and the ankles look different enough as to make me want to see more pictures before judgement. Arms: Same as legs, I want to see more pictures. ^^ I do agree that the feet are Very similar, however. Hmm. Just an observation of my own. ~Anrui
not even close similar to me either. Shoulders totally different. Overall curve or torso very different through the waist and hips, plus the AOD has a lover torso joint. Other than a similarity in the curvature of the legs (that's probably similar to a lot fo bodies) I/m not seeing it at all.
Well, as nice as Ming is, I'm more interested in this other boy: http://www.aoddoll.com/showproduct.asp?id=81 What's this sweetie's name? I can't get a BJD any time soon, but If I do ever wind up buying one, this might be my top choice for this price range, assuming all the crazy issues are worked out by then.
"Zheng" is the name of that doll, but it's a different Chinese character from "Mr. Zheng," by the way. It means "truth." (The correct pronounciation of "Mr. Zheng" is more like Cheng, with a stress on the "n." "Zheng" for this doll is pronounced with a lighter feel.) Just to clarify that they're totally different characters despite the similar English spelling. Also, tha's why there was some confusion on names earlier for the owner of the company.
Whenever a new doll company comes out, a lot of people inevitably surface to nitpick them and claim that they are a "modded" something-or-another. SpottyJane, the feet are admittedly similar, but Lishe has slimmer toes, and the rest of the body is in completely different proportion. I'm sorry, but I think you are just seeing controversy where you want to. They aren't going to go to all of the trouble to heavily mod a body to the point where all of the proportions are so different, it isn't even recognizable.
I think that's an exaggeration. The majority of BJD companies have not gotten this kind of attention when they've released their dolls. I think that companies that offer dolls at such a greatly reduced price will always generate doubt. They can say it's purely due to cheap labor, but that can only go so far. It makes people wonder if they cut costs by skimping on design and developement and using lower quality resin. If they have to cut costs, that's where any company would have to do it, they sure aren't going to take a hit on company profitability. Add that to the fact that there isn't a stigma in China for producing knock-offs of pretty much anything under the sun...and you've got doubt. I don't think it's a baseless concern.
*Argh! DoA just went down in the middle of my working on this post. XD Okay. Dagnabit. Anrui Ukimi's posted pics made me think to go check Soom girl bodies, as they're similar to Luts. Torsos are completely different. But the hands are pretty much identical. See for yourself: Soom Girl Body Soom Dillui Alice in the Labyrinth (lots of hand shots) Angel Of Dream Girl Body (same link as above post) Arms look rather Soom-ish to me as well...just modified to have the extra joint piece. Just for comparison, here's links to the boy bodies as well: Soom Angel Of Dream ETA: Tosses Lati Red Line Boy arms into it, just for the heck of it, since they have that extra joint piece.
I didn't post the pictures. I agree on the hands, at the least quite similar. As for the boy body, it looks nothing like the Soom body. I know what my skinny pretty boy's body looks like. Hands are dissimilar as well. It's unfortunate when this happens, yes? ~Anrui
I see that the *new Ming is now listed on eBay at the Buy-it-Now price of $275.......any takers? Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/AOD-1-3-MING-supper-dollfie-BJD-FREE-FACE-UP_W0QQitemZ130113099948QQihZ003QQcategoryZ84635QQcmdZViewItem
Ok, so I've been stalking this thread cos I was looking for a doll as a gift and thought this might've fit the bill, but jeez, I can't even keep up with how many name changes, twiddly auction pulls and photo's that aren't even the doll they're selling there've been! This is getting daft! It was bad enough that the auctions had every bell and whistle going and took about four years to load without them suddenly being pulled and the username changing like the wind. I'm all for a new company, I even like the sculpts, I would've seriously considered one if not for all this hassle. Honestly, this is not inspiring confidence in me. I'm sure everyone involved with it means well and is legit, but I think at this point, even they would have to admit this looks bad! All of that said, I'd LOVE to see some owner photo's of these dolls, assuming anyone ever actually finds a way of getting one that is...
Just what i noticed: The ebay auctions says that their office is in Beijing. The AOD website says that their office is in Shanghai. Perhaps anyone who stays in Beijing & Shanghai goes to take a peek at their address?
i said i wouldn't reply but i'm still looking, thought to point out stuff that's all: edite: izumiyavi's doll post: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1909193&postcount=252 if u look back on previous pages there are links to forum members with dolls from AoD
Just thought I'd point out that a lot of people view the threads differently depending on how they have their vBulletin settings. As far as my settings are concerned, this thread only has 8 pages, so your link doesn't take me anywhere but the last page, which doesn't have said photos in it. It might be better to just link to the specific post if you want to help out in that fashion.
Actually, they have quite a number of offices in China. ^^ The addresses are all in the contact page http://www.aoddoll.com/contact.asp
I won the auction for the 'Ming' AOD doll. Hopefully we shall now have some answers to our questions. I even received a personal email from them offering to let me out of the auction if I feel uncomfortable. They say they will send me pictures in several days - this is fine with me. Once I receive the doll there will be pictures posted for your scrutiny. Maybe now there will be an end to this uncomfortable episode of their entry into the international world of BJDs. I really think they have seen the error of their ways, but they have a lot of 'mopping up' to do.
I have a Soom Kyrie, and the AoD hands are really not that similar to me. In fact, the only similarity I am seeing is in the way the hand connects to the wrist, with the round ball connected to the hand rather than a separate ball joint between the hand and the wrist, and I am sure that is not specific to Soom. The positioning of the fingers is entirely different; even looking at my doll's hands from the same angle, I can't see any other similarities. And, I hate to admit it, but Kyrie's fingertips are not that well-defined. I wish they were. x_x
LadyFeather, I hope your Ming comes soon and is just wonderful. If so, you got a great deal and ~$20 cheaper than their BIN auction. I wonder if the BIN $275 is what they will sell the 1/3 dolls for from their site?
Actually, 1/3 dolls are going at $250 on the international site. ^^ But this price excludes faceup. I have uploaded everything on http://www.angel-of-dream.com and the site should be functioning by this week after I'm done with the shipping prices.
$250? even better! can I make 1 suggestion for the site? Please add the eye sizes recommended for these dolls. now I just need to save some $
I have to laugh - I just checked out Izumiyavi's site. The doll we all know as Ming is now called Chen. Ming is another 1/4 doll they sell. None of the 1/3 dolls have names. Mine will be called Shenmi, or mysterious. I think it's appropriate.
Just thought I'd add, that I just bought a 62cm doll from them, and he should be here in 10days. I'll be happy to put up my own info once he arrives ^_^
Alright, I'll put that up ASAP. ^^ The 1/3 dolls will be named in a couple of days. AOD has not released their actual name yet. @_@
for what it's worth, the photos of the blank G1 and G2 dolls (in the parts section) appears to be identical on the site. I actually overlaid them in photoshop and compared the profile view. But in the dolls section, the G1 doll appears to have eyes that aren't as open?
Oh good... I just checked out the http://www.angel-of-dream.com site. Ahhhh! The names are different again! The nature of translations I guess. In any case, I don't care what the name is, I just want a site where I can go: "I want the one in THIS picture" and put it in my cart. I will keep an eye out on your site, izumiyavi!
I never said the boy body looked at all like Soom's, or the hands, which defintiely don't look like the thin pointy Soom boy hands XD...I just threw the links in because I wasn't sure if people had seen a link to the boy body page yet, and the arms and legs are somewhat similar, but not so much that I could say without having both on hand that they are more than just 'similar', like, well, a lot of doll arms and legs. XD Torsos for both girls and boys are both obviously completely different. I think I just got a bit link-happy. X3 Really? Based on the photos, the fingers on both hands seem to be in really similar positions, with only minor differences that could be seen as the hands being slightly modded then recast. Admittedly, I don't have either hands on...errr, hand * is shot* so I could be mistaken. Did you look at the hands in the pictures in my links?
I received an email from Mr. Zhang (Alan) and he said that he has registered with DOA. As he is waiting for DOA to send them confirmation email etc and he cannot post immediately, he has asked me to cut and paste and post the following msg from him. Hello everybody.I am the international market manager Zhang of Angel of dreaming. You can call me Alan.To be honest,I ’ve been the forum for days. The reason why I got here so late is that I want to wait for truth. Now the truth is coming,we have developed our 1/3 dolls.Though there are only four style available now,I believe we will develop more with Chinese style in the future.I know there have been talkings about AOD,rumors or positive talking. But I still want to say THANK YOU ALL.It is your messeges here that let us realize what is the problems of AOD as a new comer on ebay.I have to say I did a bad job in dealing with many problems about AOD.Because there are unnessory problems,it should be solved out from the beginning of our business on ebay.I did not prepar enough to provide auction information so it seems we are misleading our customer. One of the most serious problem is from 1/3 MING auction,I use 1/4 MING for 1/3 without updating 1/3 edition, which make many of you suspicious about our doll.I apologize for all the mess-ups here. As a new comer on ebay, too many things have happened to us,the mistakenly posted picture, the agent problem, and the legitimacy of AOD.. etc..I change my ebay ID after knowing that the mail I received is spoof,What comes to my mind first is change everything in my store at that moment,I have no choice but follow my thought.Because I filled all the blanks in that mail link.So I changed it for sky18482310521 which I did in a rush.I think I will find a similar or better one if I can calm down a bit at that time. All these things happened due to the unexperience on ebay.A good beginning is half the battle, but we just have a so doggy beginning, the only thing we can do is work hard to built up English version website to regain your confidence on AOD. After browse many comment here,I want to introduce AOD briefly.First,I declare that AOD dolls are oringinal from AOD.We never use other company’s work to say it is from AOD.We believe that trust is essential of a company, one can not go long without the trust of customer.I think to this point we have done a good job in our home market,we have many loyal customer in China.I learned that there are people worrying about the quality,I want to say low price does not mean a low quality. We promise 100% money back if you don’t like.We have some advantages in China, which company in Japan or Korea will never have.So I hope I can gain your support, just as what was told in our store page,I wish everyone will have their BJD with a reasonable price. As far as MING was concerned,I want to say sorry again. In China,1/4 MING is named”dust”,if there are any misunderstanding,it is just because we want give him an other name in overseas.By the way,I want to our customer that you can retract your bidding by emailing us.Someone was concerning about the MING in 1/3 and 1/4 differs from makeup or facelooking.Actually it is customized. If you prefer makeup of 1/4 MING,you can let us know. At last,I hope my comment here will help you understand more about AOD though I know my English is not well. Alan People, I am just helping Alan post his messages, so if you have any comment or question, please direct your post to him. Since he has arlready resigistered, he should be able to post soon. Like Ladyfeathers, I'm also waiting for my dolls. I should be getting the 1/3 MIng and one 1/4 girl. I didn't specifiy which girl to send, so it'll be a surprise.
Well, everyone here knows there has been a period when a group of Chinese frauds roamed Ebay looking for expensive products and putting up fraud auction for them. My dolls have also been subject to this practice, and two of my earlier auctions had been stolen, copied and put on eBay... All of these fraudulent sellers had exactly the same kind of weird seller ID's, with lots of numbers and random letters, 0 feedback, and China based, so this looks awfully familiar to me and I'm ready to report these new auctions to eBay. I advise everyone to NOT buy from ZERO feedback sellers with weird names which are based in foreign countries like China.
