I'm very sorry about that . :sweat So if you remember me taking a photo of your dolls let me know who you are and what dolls you had with you and I'll gladly send you the pics! :)

      Aiko-chan
: I hope to see you too sometime soon! :)

captainkyo: you are welcome! Oooh I see you have lots of pictures on your Flickr page! I'm gonna check them out now ! :D

    3. You are very welcome! Thank you so much for sharing your pictures! I'm so glad to see pictures of the party since I wasn't able to go. It looks like it was a lot of fun! :)

    4. Congrats! Easy! Lets do it ;)

Thank you all for the congratulations! ^^

DiSpy, wow, I'm happy for you, congrats!

Captainkyo, Umi-chan and stargazer_i thank you girls for the pictures! I'm still processing mine :sweat But they will be ready maybe tomorrow ;)

    5. Major congrats dear!!! I wish I was there!

And thank you for all the pic sharing!

    6. Volks did the usual OMG display of gorgeous BJDs including all the one offs, and The Beast.

I must say, having VOLKS at the event really made my first IDEX extra special.. Plus, at the BJD dinner on Sat. Night Volks received an award
so many of the USA BJD artist got to hear how these dollies were made so popular. Also why Doll and Figurine became the common language of
      Dolfie.

was a real treat to see some DOA friends there too- been too long in between these fun events

    7. rolopuppet I was actually looking for you at the Saturday BJD party event because from the Yahoo group photo albums, I saw you contributed a photo of SD16B Yukinojo and thought you might enter him for the BJD contest. I would enter my F38 if you had entered Yuki. Since nobody else entered Yuki, I entered him. I don't think I got to meet you. I met Am and Theda!

About the party.....I thought there should be more dancing. Just when I started moving with the beat, the dance ended!

I was expecting a lot more people to enter a doll for the contest. It's not about winning, it's about participation and the dollies being there! I think the submissions are few when compared to the number of people at the dinner.

    8. I totally agree about the dancing!! When I mentioned it to a staff member, they said that it actually went on longer then scheduled.

@captainkyo - Did you notice that there's a pic of you and your new girl at IDEX in the volksusa blog?

    9. I got back late yesterday afternoon, so am a little late in offering my congrats to all of the raffle doll winners. :D The two Rei-Tenshi are adorable, and were the only dolls I put in for, but the Dolfie Mother chose to smile on others this time. ;) It was so generous of Volks to contribute not one, but two dolls, for this worthy cause (animal rescue shelter run by Barb Keegan I believe). I also was very glad to have the Volks Dolly Doctor's services available! I gave the Doctor a real workout I'm afraid, between my Sei-Tenshi Gotham and my Beast Vincent. Gotham got his wing reattached, and his stringing was adjusted too. My little party boy is feeling so much better now! LOL! :D Meanwhile, my gorgeous Gou Beast "Vincent" was there to have his eyes removed. But the Dolly Doctor ended up doing that as well as fiddling with his eye lashes, adjusting his stringing, and buffing some areas of very slight discoloration so that they were evened out and disappeared! Beast Vincent is truly a hunk of handsome and I'm over-joyed that I was able to get him directly from Volks! For a big guy, he's pretty easy to handle, and even more so now that his stringing was adjusted. ;) We had a huge team of cheerleaders check into the hotel on Friday night just before a bunch of us were heading to dinner on Friday night. So rather than holding everyone up while I waited for an elevator to take me to my 14th floor room, I just brought Vincent with me to dinner! The hostesses at Friday's restaurant seemed captivated by him! LOL!

Once I figure out how to get photos off my iPhone, I'll post some. ;)

      Hugs, Juli :)

    10. DiSpy: Hahaha! I'm not anymore, now i'm too busy with final week @.@ which is a good thing, I can't think about anything else.
Aiko-chan- Thank you! I will ^w^ if no one minds. Plus I don't know how to use my chrombook and get a photo from my google drive on to the thread :sweat

I have to say I really really really wished that I was able to join the meet up on friday >.< I want to meet all of you and hang out with you all. I had other promises I had to do, but still!
Idex was a blast <3 I can't wait for next year! I will be signing up for even more classes!

    11. Ok, I'm done with the pictures! You can see them here! Also If I write your name or name of your doll incorrectly, or didn't write at all, please correct me :sweat

Also here is my little sweet Rei-tenshi ^^v

Jo77, thanks dear! May be next time? ;)

    12. Stargazer_i
I ended up bring my little White Rabbit Yo.. Yuki stayed home as the white suit fit him well, but the black shirt was way too tight!

I thought the BJD Disco party was alot of fun.. There was alot of dancing in the back of the room, however we were all really pooped out
from the long day of shopping at IDEX.

    13. Ksusha thank you so much for sharing your pictures! :) Awww Your Rei-tenshi is soooooo cuuuuuute!! Congratulations dear!! What a wonderful experience to win such a special doll! I'm very happy to see pictures from the first day of the event and of the party. Looks like it was very busy the first day at the Volks booth! :)

    14. Pictures are awesome Ksusha! Thanks for the link. Thanks for all the photos everyone has shared.

I definitely enjoyed the Saturday nite mixer. Everyone semed to be having a great time and the prizes were amazing. The doll artists were incredibly generous with their donations and I'm sure there was a wonderful gift made to the shelter. I thought that the Volks presenter's speech was gracious and touching.

Aside from my adorable Connie Lowe outfit, my BEST purchase was a string puller from Volks. Amazing how easy this little tool makes removing my doll's head! (I was using a chopstick before).

I want to go back already.............

    15. Ksusha, your sweet little Rei is too cute for words! Thank you so much for the photo and your photos link! I love the look on its face, so serene!

And thank you to everyone for the photos! I'm still trying to get all of mine uploaded.

    16. DiSpy: ahaha omg no i didnt! xD I look so derpy, butt hat is awesome i am on there lol. xD Thanks for letting me know~

And Ksusha~ Thank you so much for the photos! They are amazing~ :D

    17. Thank you for the pictures! :)

That was my Volks SDC Ryu at the meetup Friday, and the one from Saturday was my Volks Sei-Rei Sakaki. (...and I see from that picture that he needs better eyes... hehe)

At the dinner there's a shot of me putting tickets in for the raffle doll that I won... that's awesome!! ...and haha, you had as many tickets as I did. ;)

    18. I had such a great time during the entire show and the BJD party was just the icing on the cake. Many congrats to all that won - anything. The dollie-fairy didn't sprinkle any magic dust on my immediate group of friends this year but that's OK since we've been lucky in the past. We were just so happy to be there and together - having fun.

I was so happy that Volks received an award too! I had no idea awards were even going to be presented.

It was so nice of you to introduce yourself to me. It's always such a pleasure to meet other collectors face to face. I agree with you about the amount of entries. I thought the table would be overflowing with BJDs.

I'm so glad the Mr. Ii (spelling) was able to fix up your lovelies. I adore Mr. Ii - he fixed my Mez many years ago when I first went to Japan. I thought he as adorable then and still do. I had a great time talking with you (in those few moments of conversation we managed to have) during the weekend. Pat laughed when I told her that George (basically) threw us out of the trade floor (was it - Saturday) night - lol. Anyway - it was a wonderful time. Thank you.

      Ksusha
Congrats on little sweet Rei-tenshi - that was the one I wanted. I'm so glad it found its way to you.

... and since I began with a pic of my Lita (F06) with her suitcase going to IDEX - thought I should end it with her after visiting Disney ...

      Enjoy!

    19. ksusha, thanks for the photos! My favourite is Suigintou & Franklin. That 90cm AOD Alfonse is so cute with that little fellow inside his head. I will miss the DD Natsuki. I was planning to get her if I could not get Reisner. Megu is the real stunner! Shiro is so lucky. Thanks for taking photo of the Friday morning line up! People may not believe what we did! Congratulations on the Rei-Tenshi win.

Theda is special. I've never met a dog who posed for the camera like a movie star! She looked straight into my lense, held a pose and after I clicked, she went straight back into her stroller.

    20. So many great photos! :D Thanks to everyone who took photos, as well as the nice photos I've seen of my dollies. X3 I know I should've taken more, but I'm always so lazy about it when it comes to it. I have a few that I need to edit and post, and when I get them up on my LJ, I'll put a link here. :)

    21. Ksusha: Congrats on your reitenshi

    22. Ksusha, so precious! Thank you for the photos! Your tenshi is absolutely adorable~~~

    23. Umi-chan, Aiko-chan, thank you girls! ^^

rolopuppet, this's Kykycik's Dollzone Annie with face-up by Rafael ;)

    24. Ksusha

thanks so much, I'm so glad I know who she is now.. very much appreciated!

    25. Thanks Ksusha, for the info, I was also very curious about her. I would never have guessed she's from DZ and a faceup by Rafael. I guessed she was from Dollstown and may be (just guessing) faceup by Val Zeitler or Connie Lowe. I wasn't totally sure who did the faceup. I'm bad with such guesses.

    26. Yes, DZ Annie and Snape was painted by me ) I am so happy if you like my faceup works:)

    27. I also fell in love with all of your faceups at IDEX. You do wonderful work Rafael!!! <3 <3

PS- You've been on my list to contact for a commission slot as soon as I have a doll for you to work on. :)
