HZ (Heisejinyao Ziyulinglong) 65cm boys - Part 2

I have not taken any new pictures of him yet (or apparently any pics of him in ages) so here is an old picture of Taurus. he is a AozheTian. I was one of the first people to buy him when HZ first started!

Heise's dolls look beautiful! Is she still releasing new dolls though?

BTW heisejinyao translates as hei=black, se=color, jin=banned/prohibited, and yao=drug.

 

I found her taobao store, and she has two doujin dolls for the Daomu Biji series (where Ringdoll's Kylin and Er Yue Hong are from) up for sale there that aren't available on Legendoll. Ao Zetian, Wang Ye, Schuster Fei, and Hui Ka were still listed, but no Gu Hu or Xiao Han.

 

Heise's art is beautiful, and I'd be willing to buy the merch with her artwork that's also listed on the Taobao store.


I think that a lot of the Chinese BJD brands that lose distributors in the west because they aren't popular enough still retain their Taobao stores at minimum (it's the same case for CTY which has some lovely head sculpts but never really gained a lot of traction in western markets because of poor marketing). Their websites might go down, but the dolls themselves will still be listed on their Taobao stores. Makes sense I guess, since a lot of Chinese do their online shopping on Taobao.

as far as I know, at first HZ stopped making White Guhu's head. Later on i saw a message, that whole SD line was recasted, that's why HZ will stop making dolls at all. I saw their page on taobao. it's interesting that after all some molds are still available

i can share this possession of yours as well! everytime i see sale with HZ mold i feel guilty that i can't buy just because i like it. i buy only characters, so no spare heads in house is allowed XD

@xatshe Soyala looks amazing! Ugh, I really need to get my hands on these boys as well, but since I'm buying both Huaxi from AS and Su Hun Zhen from Loongsoul in one go, and I'm planning to try for a Volks Lady Oscar as well, I doubt that I'll have any doll money left for the rest of the year.

I think the accessories of hz are also very beautiful.

@SteamWitch I'm glad there's at least someone out here who still has HZ dolls/is posting about it!! I just bought a boy second hand (Ao Ze Tian) that i'll be fixing up, and since i hadn't heard of the brand...then it seemed like no one still had any....

well long story short, I'm glad to see your dolls and a recent update!

 

He’s so pretty! I agree, though I do have to say, I really liked his first face up and the graphic lines of his eye makeup and beard. The stubble is really really well done now, but there was a lot of character with the bolder lines too!

I’m slowly being taken by the sort of moody aura of the sculpts, I’m normally drawn toward soft, lighter and feminine features so I figured he’d just end up a fixer up experiment doll.. but i think actually HZ’s sculpts are that perfect strike between a feminine and broody masculine feeling. I can’t wait to get him in my hands >.<

Can you tell me, what’s it like finding clothes or patterns for your boys? My Ao Ze is the 65cm body since I read that they switched to a 62 cm later on ^^

 

That's great to hear!! I was comparing the body to others and they looked a lot slimmer than some others, but are also a bit tall My AoZe will have to go through leg surgery first once he arrives, but I already have some good ideas for robes and such for him. I have a Feeple60 who has a nature/forest vibe going on, I think he'll be suited perfectly for a water/air theme

 

IT’S THROWBACK THURSDAY!

Here’s my ancient HZ boy, Wang Ye, that I got back in 2010 from MintonCard. He’s a wonderful sculpt. I love his grumpy expression. I’m am such a fangirl of older sculpts.

@SteamWitch I have so much admiration for your devotion to these beautiful sculpts. I love it when older sculpts are not forgotten, and still loved.

Yes, the new sculpt is rather different from her past style. But, he’s still a gorgeous boy. It’s a shame HZ dolls weren’t more popular.

Hi everyone! I just got one of these marvelous boys. He's an old one on the 65cm body, and very-very yellow. He has HZ Doll labels attached to him and came with this wonderful overcoat and some boots. It looks as if the previous owner cut the wig? Not sure.
He's also very-very floppy and needs restringing. Oh. he is so heavy too. Did the older dolls really weigh so much more then they do now?

I keep looking at all the pictures, but I am very bad at faces. I felt maybe you all could help me figure out who he is? I think these are the original eyes, because the person that just kept him on display said he lost his eye completely, it was just inside stuck to the head cap.

I don't really think he's that heavy (he weighs about the same as my other 65-68 boys), BUT HZ bodies aren't .....well, they don't have my favorite engineering lol. My boy came secondhand from his first owner, so he had the (apparently) common issue of his upper thigh pieces being cracked badly near the hips. But even after repairing, a couple restrings, and sueding, his posing was kinda still rough. I did do the repairs when I was first starting out mods, so I have him unstrung and apart again so I can figure out fixing his body. I'd love to have him back on his OG body though, it just feels right for him Even if I think his shins are too long so it makes his sitting poses wonky.

He's gotten a newer faceup since these pics, and a name update (ryuu), but I still do really love the sculpt

I got him cleaned up, not able to get all the stains off but most of them. I did end up redoing his face, I tried to save it, but messed it up while cleaning him.

He (yours) still looks great though!! I feel like some of these boys were practically made for long hair

I considered hunting around for the replacement thighs that some people were apparently able to get when they released, since if I remember right from what I was told (either here or on IG… I can’t remember either lol) it was a common issue for one of the releases. I think they were casted by ringdoll and the company sent out replacement thighs at the time? But I was pretty new to the hobby at that time so I was a intimidated by the search, and not by modding them apparently He’s so patiently waiting for a body and get his pretty long wig back!
