Huajing-Doll 1/4 Discussion

A friend received Thorne on Friday, in tan. It reminded me of Myou's coffee color, at least it seemed like it in the photos. I have a myou coffee doll at home, I expected the Huajing's color to be a little darker. I'm still waiting for mine Bella.

 

My body is in the country as of like 8am this morning. Now it just needs to get through customs and to me. Hopefully next week and with minimal customs charges please and thank you.

 

@Crissaegrim - I don't know how customs operate where you live but you can use SimplyDuty to estimate how much it will be in advance so you don't have to worry about being surprised with the amount you have to pay. It's been quite accurate in my experience - the courier in your country might add their handling fee on top, still, though.

 

I've received my 1/4 uncle body last week so I'm here now to testify that it's beautiful and I love the elbow joints, so much posability potential!
Although I must leave this info if it might interest anybody who wants to make an hybrid.

Got my Huajing body in normal pink resin for a head in Soom normal. The match is not great but also it's not the worst, or at least nothing that a blushing during faceup can't resolve. Maybe the name pink should have tipped me off

I just saw a really nice comparison of the huajing 1/4 uncle body with some other similar bodies, thought I would share: here

 

I usually budget for what the full whack of customs fees could be but I also know that a lot of doll companies seem to under-declare the value of the doll when shipping it and I wasn't sure if Huajing was one of those. Of my two SartoriaJ boys only one got caught in customs and even then I only had to pay a nominal charge, no VAT or anything, to get him free when it properly should have been much more than that.

Having got my boy I can say that Huajing do seem to underdeclare the value (or Alice's Collections do, but idk exactly who shipped it to me) because the declaration on the doll is for a resin doll valued at $15 and there were no customs charges at all.

 

@Crissaegrim - if you got the AC gift magic eraser in the box it must have passed through ACBJD I also never end up paying much when things pass through them, and I think Huajing ships directly only through taobao (when used without a proxy). In any case, great that it got to you well and thanks for sharing the images in the box opening thread!

man Huajing are just churning out new stuff lately huh? It's exciting to see them growing.

I love that we now have so many body options from them. I need to make a decision and order something for my DIM heads.

 

I'm really excited for them, too, but I also hope that they manage to tackle the slowing production times at some point - we all know what happened to Souldoll for instance when churning out new sculpts and limiteds too often

 

Has anyone here bought the Locke? I'm curious about this guy, even though I don't have any in my collection

 

Huajing posted more preview pictures and some body data here! I wish there was a slightly bigger chest size but the body looks lovely! I think they will be posting a video soon as well!

i also reached out to acbjd about my ver 4 body and Thorne and they should hopefully be done next month, definitely one of my longest waits i think xD

Their new doll somehow reminds me new limited xaga doll in same size. About waiting time, i think its same may be everywhere in this hobby (i waiting for Dollzone doll too, from December. That doll i planned to be present for my mom... but well, i`m not prepared for such long waiting times)

 

@triniarin - it seems like that height/type of bodies are popping up every few weeks those days (df-h, evantasy, gem of doll are also not far off) I'm not complaining! I've been waiting for that type for a while and ordered the xaga one earlier this month

As for waiting times - I peeped on huajing's weibo and they said they have the first 30 new girls in stock (sent within 10 days)... I assume they are all gone already as the post is from a few days ago but if anyone is ordering directly from them, maybe you're lucky and don't have to wait half a year

About xaga vs new huajiing, i mean they have similar promo style (some circus like lolita style)

About Huajiing shipping. Ashley i got ordered via Legend doll (with additional hair and dress, so she definetly go via this dealer, also they added manual for doll)
I got her via UPS, without any customs (in Germany) and i think from some local company.

 

I've discovered to my joy that the resinsoul jointed hands which look oversized on most of my other dolls actually work really well on my boy. The wrist joints aren't oversized and the hand size doesn't look ridiculous. So I'm going to get him a pair of the 1/4 boys hands as I have a pair of 1/4 girls hands in white.

Does anybody know or can guess what resinsoul resin colour would best match Huajing's normal skin. Or am I going to have to email and try and get them to custom match it.

 

Does anyone know if Huajing resin NS matches Leekeworld?

 

I can't help with the resin colors, but I would love to see the jointed hands on the huajing boy body. I am waiting on a boy body vers2 and jointed hands would be great

Okay so first here's the hand on its own compared to the Huajing hand



I fully admit, the Huajing hand is better sculpted.

Here is the hand on the doll, compared to his regular hand



With the slightly flared wrist of the Huajing body, the ball of the jointed hand sits further inwards than the normal hand which does mean it cannot properly rotate but the scale looks okay. You could also mod the hands with a little bit of apoxie or hot glue to have them sit further out.

okay I think my eyes has turn into little squares because I can't find anything on this subject so I'll ask here I want to hybrid a huajing doll head in the normal skin range which company is the best match?

 

their normal is quite pink and quite pale so i'd look at maybe resinsoul, doll leaves etc. But I think it's a touch pinker than those too. I'm staring at my doll leaves doll and my huajing on the shelf and the doll leaves doll looks creamer but that could be age. he IS a good couple of years older.

I’m planning to buy bai ling by huajing. but i just want to ask if how do the layaway work if im planning to buy on alice’s collection. maybe you can help me. i’ve tried asking them to send me a sample of how much monthly would i need but they said that i purchase it first. but im kinda nervous. i hope you can help me. thank you..

 

Alice's layaway requires you to put a minimum of 30% down immediately and then you can pay the remaining 70% in installments over a maximum of 6 months. It's laid out here

So a basic Bai Ling (no faceup, no blushing, no clothes, normal skin) is $207.68. You would have to put down at least $62.30 immediately. The remaining $145.38 would be paid in installments. Somewhere between three installments of $48.46 and six installments of $24.23.

 

You would need to add the item to your cart, take a screenshot of that, and email it to Alice's. They will then send you an email with a spreadsheet attached that shows the order number, the total of the item(s) you ordered, the paypal fees, and the order total, and the amount of your first payment (they require at least 30% down). The spreadsheet has the paypal account information as part of it, and once you email them letting them know you've made a payment, they will send you a reply letting you know your remaining balance. I've generally divided that by the number of months my layaway is for and use that to figure out my monthly payments. Do keep in mind that they do not send you an invoice every month- you'll need to set a reminder for yourself to make the payment and email them to let them know. Their replies have always been very prompt with the remaining balance for the 3 layaways I've done with them.

 

For my monthly six installments, $24.23 is all I need to pay or does it come with additional fees. Cause I know that when you pay thru paypal they have additional charges. What would you recommend, pay it full or layaway? Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

Does anyone else also feel like Huajing's resin smells very strong for a long time? I've had my body for half a year but the smell I'm hit with whenever I open the box is... potent... to the point it has started to bother me a little.

 

@cobaltconduct Haha it was so bad when I got my boy body the whole room filled with the smell, and we had to open windows to air out the house.

 

That's really interesting because no, I can't say my boy smells at all. I've had non-doll smelly resin before and that was dreadful but not him, no.

 

Oh, that's interesting! I wonder if they changed their resin or caster at some point? Or if it's skintone specific? (I have their light tan). (Or if some of their dolls just have resin IBS?)

 

I got my boy in Normal Pink, ordered in December and arrived late May this year.

My huajing ver 4 body finally arrived! I ordered it on December 30th and it was sent out a week ago or so. I ordered in their match for Luts white and it works perfectly for the head I have! The box did have a strong smell and there is no coa for the body like other people have said here. I love the proportions and am very pleased aside from the wait time, still waiting on my Thorne from early January

Joining this thread- I’m looking into getting the 1/4 Uncle body before the end of summer sale ends at Alice Collections Can anyone tell me if Huajing white matches DF-H white well?

 

I don't know about DF-H but there's a comparison with DV here. Huajing is pinkish but they can also do mia white on request, and df-h can surely do Mia white, too.

 

Wow thank you! Yes the white I’m looking for is more cream or close to DV white. So I will request the Mia white when ready to order.

I have the v4 body and the magnolia body looks like it's the same, just with longer legs and torso? With Huajing's waiting times it's a bit too early for owner pictures of the taller body yet, I think.

 

Hey, I have question regarding Huajing resin, do their regular resin colors are uv cut/anti-uv or it's just the sepcial ones as mia types and luts white?

I believe Huajing shared in their weibo page pictures of that body here . It seems different to me, more muscular and elongated.

 

Thanks for the weibo link! Comparing to my v4 they have added a bit more muscle and rib detail into the torso indeed, also the shoulders are a bit wider from what I can tell. The posing abilities seem the same, though.

As for the resin, I think it's pretty standard to mix something to stabilise the resin to UV exposure these days but I didn't know they advertised their special colours as uv-cut - it might be worth asking Alice's or Erica from Legenddoll so they can ask the company about it.

 

Magnolia Body i think are more sporty (shoulders are slightly wider i think)
As about color, aside from common white they have rosy-white. As about UV cut, i dont their adv about it

 

Does anyone know if Huajing let you order one of their older dolls (I'm considering getting both Mu Zhi & Ai Xi) with a more recent body than the ones they were originally sold with? They both come with the V3 body, which is cute but not exactly what I'm looking for, unlike the V5. I've noticed that the V5 neck is slightly smaller (6.5cm vs 6.9cm) which shouldn't be too much of an issue I assume. I'll likely order through ACBJD, if that matters.

It seems to be the case for all of their resin colors, odd that many companies do that but don't advertise that. I automatically assumed it's true for mia and luts white because those colors are originally uv cut.

Anyway, I'm wondering which white to choose for my doll since there are 4 white color options! I'd want something as neutral and "natural" as possible meaning not paper white but not heavily leaning towards the pink/yellow tint. I'm not sure how's Huajing mia white looks, but as far as I know it has yellow tint, so is their regular white. So, the big question is which is pinker, the rosy white or the luts white?

 

@Poor collector - afaik luts white is also yellowy so if you want pinkish, it'd be the rosy white or Huajing's own white. Heres a HJ comparison with DV and DZ.

 

Ordered the 1/4 Uncle body for my DIM Julis head :3 Julis head pretty big so I’m hoping the broad shoulders will make him look proportionate.
