Huajing-Doll 1/4 Discussion

I just received not long ago my doll! She took about 7 months, but she was also reshipped to me so technically 6 months? She has faceup and body blushing plus additional blushed hands (2 sets) and high heel feet. My doll is essentially the same triniarin's Daryna , Skadi with faceup b and body blush in rosy white skin so I didn't do unboxing images.
I do wish to order custom clothes to my doll, but I'm not sure if the measurements I took are correct...she is on Huajing (1/4) girl body ver.4.
Here are the measurements:
1. Inner Shoulder(neck root) via nipple to foot instep: 34.5cm

2. Inner Shoulder(neck root) via nipple to narrowest waist: 8cm

3. Narrowest waist to foot instep: 27cm

4. Shoulder to Thumb Root: 14cm

5. Inner Shoulder (neck root) to nipple: 4.4 cm

6. Nipple to nipple: 3.8cm

7. Elbow Girth: 5cm

8. Wrist Girth: 4cm

9. Elbow to Wrist: 6.5cm
If anyone can confirm or correct these, I will be grateful

 

@Poor collector - I also have a v4 body and it measures the same The body has quite wide hips so you'll definitely want to provide that measurement if you're ordering custom pants, though.

Just popping in to say this is my clothing exploration so far with the 1/4 Uncle Body:

I had recently purchased some 'regular MSD' clothes from Bears's store. Some tops that lacked back closures required patience and dislocating the shoulders to get on.... So if you are worried about it, I'd recommend button up shirts instead, or prioritizing things with snaps/velcro.

Pants are a bit short, and the suit I got doesn't have stretch and so the body can't sit at all. I may make some custom pants patterns in the end, but I need to go through my stash again to see if I have any stretchy non-slim MSD bottoms.

Regular size MSD shoes from most shops fit the flat feet great! Even SKDollhouse (but probably without socks only)! Heeled feet are an ongoing process, however- so I bring photos.

The "bear sister" (large MSD) width is great, but the arch on my Yomisama heels is far too low. Granted, these are noted that they can be worn with flat feet, so I might have to see if they offer anything strictly for heeled feet...

The heel arch on these He-Meife Tonner 22" shoes is perfect, but of course, they are too narrow! So close....

So if anyone has any explorations of their own with clothing this body they'd like to share, I'd love to see it.

I really love how the Huajing dolls look! I really love the Bei La and Rakuka ones and have been thinking about adding them to my collection. I'm pretty new to the hobby though, so I was wondering: Are they are pretty easy to care for? Do they have pretty standard sizes that make them easy to shop for?

 

Their dolls are super sturdy and pose well, and it's not hard to find stuff for them. Their resin also has a niche smooth finish which doesn't scuff easily which I really appreciate. The only problems dressing the girls might be that the hips are on the wider side and their feet can be a millimeter too wide for super narrow shoes.

 

I agree! I heard that they have also changed their resin recently so it wont yellow as easily. I have a Huajing doll from the start of 2022 before they changed their resin and yet she is barely yellowed, she still remains to be the best poser as well!

 

My Tian Ni's been pretty easygoing! She's pretty solidly on the slim MSD side for clothes, though some of the more regular MSD stuff I end up getting (like from rRabit) isn't too far off on her. As others have said, she's held poses well and I didn't find her stringing too loose or tight when she arrived. Plus since she takes a 7/8 wig and 14mm eyes, it's easy to shop for those, too.

Just a general question- would male heel feet fit in any heel shoes made for female feet? I want to get some high heels for my 1/4 uncle body size but I don’t see measurements for heel feet . Thanks!

 

I have Kairos. I will measure his feet. I also have Thorne who is taller.

 

If anyone’s curious about wait times I bought an uncle body from Alice’s Collections on January 23rd and it arrived yesterday, June 23rd (shipped June 17th).So 5 months. Also, the body is in their white resin which is really close to mia pink, at least the one head I have. Maybe common knowledge but I was very surprised. : 0

 

Hi! I was wondering, does anyone have huajing's light tan and resinsoul's coffee/light tan resin and can do a comparison between the two resins? I plan on color matching anyways but they do seem pretty close in color, so I was curious about the specifics of that.

 

I'm also posting to confirm wait times and show pictures of the body I ordered. I bought a Huajing 1/4 Girl Body Ver.4 in Luts real skin white colour. I got this body for a Luts 2023 summer event kdf head I bought on the marketplace. I placed the order on 12 January, was notified by Alice that it's shipped on 23 June, and it arrived today.

I'm just noticing that my phone's camera picked up this red undertone of the head and some parts of the body on the last picture but it's actually uniformly white. The first picture shows the colour the best.

I'm super happy with the Huajing body! Fantastic sculpt and posing. The resin feels smooth but it's not like my Myou doll which is so smooth it sabotages posing. Feels great to hold, great shape and weight.

 

Since my try to get extra hands from huajing didn't end up very successful (got lost in the mail and were never found), I ended up trying some third-party pairs I found on TaoBao (MioPlanetDoll) in Soom Light Tan (shallow burning in the listing). The match is ok-ish, but Huajing tan is definitely a tad lighter - mixing heads/bodies wouldn't be a problem at all but with hands it's a little visible.

Hello, I hope this is the right place to post this. I'm ordering a Kui Ning head and hoping to put her on the Huajing 1/5 body, has anyone tried this? I see the necks are about 1cm difference, I'm worried she'll look really bobble headed

 

@Lentil I've done a similar neck hole difference hybrid with a 1/4 doll before, the neck gap will be noticeably big. It can fit okay if you hotglue the crap out of the neck hole and hide it with a wig but it can look a little strange nonetheless. It will also compromise the neck mobility so hot glue sueding really is essential. But sometimes the aesthetics make it work!

 

Thank you for this advice! I think I'll order her with a 1/5 body and see what I can do. I've never had a hybrid doll before so it's all a bit new to me, but I think the smaller size would be cute for her.

That's so kind of you to offer, thank you I ended up ordering her on the 1/4 body as I was a bit worried about the head looking too big and out of proportion with the 1/5 body, plus I know nothing about modding hybrids.

 

I think you’ve made the right choice; the 1/4 heads are quite a bit bigger. There’s a lot of neck gap, and her shoulders are too narrow. I tried to upload a picture but couldn’t get it to work. I’m sure you will be happy with the 1/4 version. She’s a beautiful sculpt, and the new 1/4 bodies are really nice.

 

Thank you for confirming, I had a feeling her head might be too big. I'm glad I went with the 1/4 body now! She is such a cute sculpt, I can't wait to see her in person.

 

Has anyone ordered any of the newer 1/4 Huajing boys, like Ling Sa, Kor or Jett? I know they're so new that they probably haven't arrived yet, but I just want to live vicariously through someone who is waiting for one of them especially Jett really, really threatened (and tbh, still is threatening) my doll-no-buy promise for this year.
Anyway, I'm asking for pictures in advance for when they arrive!

@purple_monkfish - they've been offering gray on request for a while, it should be similar to Soom gray

 

Which makes it sorely tempting because I HAVE a doll that's "soom grey" and trying to find a match is a pain in the butt. It doesn't have to be exact, just close.

They have another sale on this month (seems a pretty regular occurance) which always makes things tempting lol. My mission this year is to try to get bodies for all my floating heads.

 

Waiting for any update on my smiling Eva head. I was contacted after my order since apparently the face up for orders on this doll will be done at the artist's will. I wasn't used to that, but I'll be modifying the face up anyway.
