How many of the same molds will you get?

I own two of the same head (Crobidoll E-line Lance) because I like the sculpt so much and have plans for another doll with that same kind of look, but I think I would get two of the same sculpt again if I was very worried about one getting messed up and it not being something I could easily find again, like something limited or in an uncommon resin color.

I had this type of anxiety a few times for some off-topic items (figures, plush) and it was some of very few only instances of me getting the same thing twice, just solely because I was really nervous were an accident to happen that would permanently damage it beyond the ability to look past.

 

I like having two editions of the same character that is differentiated through face-up so yeah, I set my limit to two and, most importantly, heads only .

 

If my dolls' sculpts -- just the two of them -- get released again in 1/4 size some day, I'd like them to become the travel dolls I take to conventions, and perhaps so I can build dioramas and play with them more easily while also dressing them in simpler (more practical) wardrobe pieces. Although I love my 1/3s to pieces for their detail and larger range of fashion choices, they are hefty in my hands, so I treat them like display dolls more often than not.

 

I’ve got three of the same sculpt . Reason being is that my first Rise DD (middle) I had repainted a couple times and while I love her face up I wanted another to have the default face up and be the actual character doll which is when I got Rise on the left. Then I realized that I wanted a third one to be another Persona character so that’s when I got the one on the right who was sort of also an impulse buy, but I couldn’t pass her up . I’ve reached my limit!

I would get more of the same sculpt if it was a one off with a special face up though!

 

I would like to have ten Breakaways at least. Please and thank you.

This is kind of joke but also not. I could definitely see myself owning multiple Delf Breakaways if I ever get that lucky. There are other sculpts that I love as much if not more (Soony, Woosoo?) but I'm quite content just to own one of those, whereas for some reason I have a thing about Breakaway. I'd say it's because there were different releases, plus the vampire versions, that I could collect, but really I would happily buy the exact same head again and just style it differently. I just can't get enough of Breakaway!

 

I never felt like doubles before I saw Miadoll Hyoni! I just love her so incredibly much and I am awaiting twin Hyonis (ordering limit was two and a good proce, so…), though I never thought I’d keep both but maybe I will. I keep thinking about the days when I collected Barbie, Pullip and Momoko - all the same faces. So it’s not really strange, it just feels like it because BJD’s are generally more expensive.
