How many floating heads do you have?

I have currently one floating head, Little Monica Elena. She is sometimes borrowing a Souldoll body from my other doll, but eventually I will get a body for her. I might have another floater coming this upcoming winter, but I try to keep it at 2 maximum, because I start to feel super stressed over getting bodies for them. I totally understand people who have many heads sharing a body, but I feel like I need to get a body for each head. Mostly because many of my dolls/OCs wear different styles, so it's time consuming to redress a body everytime I want to photograph different head.

 

I have one and it is driving me absolutely insane - for some reason I keep trying to have floaters around and it always ends up with me frantically looking for bodies and scheming to make them whole (or trying to sell them but I think heads are the hardest to get rid of right now). I don't mind spare faceplates, as long as they get used every now or then, but heads just rolling around are a mental burden

 

I don't have any spare heads at the moment but my u-noas have always shared bodies. I leave the Latea face plate on the zero body by default but sometimes dress her as Marion, and recently added a Rowan face plate to share the body. I seriously considered getting Rowan on her own because I love the tan u-noa but economically, I decided I'd rather spend the difference on other things. My Lusis will be sharing her body with an L-bi face in the future (I hope).

I think it's not really concerning to me because I don't consider my dolls characters. I enjoy them for their appearance and playing dress up.

 

Well...I had to count like 4 times to make sure, but I am somehow up to 10 floating heads. I've been trying so hard the last year and a half to get bodies bodies and more bodies but somehow the number has only gone up. A few are extra heads for dolls, so that's fine (for now) but 7 still need bodies of their own or to be sold. I recently sold a body with intent to purchase an upgraded body for my Impldoll girl (I love their new bodies!), but that hasn't happened yet (as I haven't been paid lol). It doesn't help that I don't have some of the heads listed in my personal database because they were gifts or forgotten extra heads, etc. I keep thinking I will add them when they get a body but that hasn't happened yet. lol

Sometimes I feel like I need a display case for my extra heads that sits right above my computer so they can stare at me every day to keep me on track with hobby spending.

I also have some extra faceplates, but those don't count, right? >.>

I'm lucky that sometimes I manage to match a head to a suitable doll body. Sometimes...
I am very picky about body shapes. The more precise an idea I have about a doll, the harder it is to find.

 

LR Noelle in chocolate [i swear just impossible to find a body for], Feeple65 Rick who's body was stolen for another head, a luts and a df-a that are the side effects of failed hybrids, my Garion has been evicted from his body by another head......... I'm shocked I don't have more right now I'll admit, but that's with a lot of gritted teeth ignoring some sculpts that are screaming at me. I've sworn I won't buy any more heads until I've sold at least 2 heads I currently can't use, but that's taking a while and it kinda feels like I've got my face mushed into the window pleading eyes at the sculpts I'm missing out on. Alas, I must be responsible!

 

None, but the Luts One offs had me damn close. I'm more worried about floating bodies ;^^

 

Zero I don't do floating heads.

If I ever have a floating head it's because I ordered the body separately and am waiting on it. If I do see a discontinued head that I must have I'll get it, but then I will order the body right after I get the head.

Although I did end up with a floating body at one point and to find a head for it.

 

I actually do have one, but it's not mine. I'm holding on to it for my good friend waiting for her to come back from hiatus. I've had it like 10 years now so please come back soon
