How many BJDs do you have?

At my highest probably 5... but the scaling down process has begun and I'm hoping to get down to just two

 

I currently got 16 full dolls. My collection used to be bigger but I sold off quite a few as I felt having so many dolls was too over-whelming. I would prefer to have a smaller collection, but I love all my current dolls and wouldn't know who to part with if I were to downsize even further... ._.

 

Currently I have 11 and a half (re: a floating head) dolls. As other people have noted, sometimes I think about a smaller collection but as long as I'm enjoying the ones I have, I'm not in a hurry to change. That being said, whenever I hit thirteen dolls, I usually end up selling three of them and somehow the process starts all over again of building back up to that. XD;;

 

I have 1 Pullip and then a head from Akagi doll. ^^ I'm probably ordering a body for him in a few weeks.

 

Too many and simultaneously not enough!
I currently have 4 full dolls and a floating head, with 2 on the way, and plans for at least 2 more. I want to at least stop myself at 10.

 

25 of the Asian bjds. I don't count resin Evies for example. Or Monster High! LOL Just the Iplehouses and one Luts. A Dollmore is on order. And I am considering an Angell Studio doll, and, and, and..............

 

It's weirdly embarrassing to admit, but I think at last count it was somewhere in the mid-twenties? Not counting the floating heads. How did I end up with this many anyway?

 

At the moment, I'm rocking 5 and a floating head, the latest being the Snow Miku DD.

I see all these people with 20+ dolls and I'm thinking "Oh man...I wish" I have two right now with one on layaway. My wishlist is massive, however.

 

Just curious on the number of dolls people have right now, how may they wanted to have when first starting the hobby, and how many dolls people think are too many. Thanks..



I have 5 dolls, 6th on the way and 4 floating heads. I wanted 10 dolls when i started the hobby and i think that around 50 dolls would be way to much for me, but people can do what they like with their money...i would be a bit worried if someone had over 200 dolls though, where would you put them???

 

My wife and I have about 30, which is roughly 15 each, and most of them are MSDs or smaller, which we find easier to collect and display in our small house. (Only 8 dolls are 60cm+) And though there's maybe one or two we might still want, we're about at our display limit (one glass case and the long top of a big ikea bookshelf). But then, we've been collecting for 11 years! They do seem to add up. ^_^;

When we first started, we thought two, maybe three max. We uh, we blew that pretty fast.

 

17, with 1 more ordered. There is also a full doll and head that will be leaving as soon as I can manage. Mine are all mature tinies or smaller. I expected to have a pretty big group, I just didn't expect it to grow this fast.

 

I have two! A Pukifee and a Lillycat Constantine. I want one more MSD size, preferabley a minifee.

Just one! I have one I'm waiting on but I'm 90% certain I will be selling her when she gets here because now that I've seen owner pictures and not just the pretty company ones, I don't think I want her anymore.

I THINK four was the greatest number I had at one time. I had a Luts Bory, an Inifiniti Tiki, a Latidoll Rei and a Soom... uh... whatever was that old wolf MD that they had. Chrom?

I don't like large collections. I play a video game that has in-game items and I collect those as well, and I purge them every few months because I can't stand having things I don't actively use. Maybe if I had the space (and the nerve!) to display them I'd have more dolls but as it stands their boxes take up a lot of space. Anka (my current one) is an MSD girl in a demure little box and it's so nice to be able to tuck it into places when I'm not doing anything with her.

Given that I'm not moving into a mansion with a large doll room any time soon, I think my current ideal number is 3-5. I have Anka, and I'd maybe add a couple of larger dolls and a tiny/something more stylized.

well I have 10 (3sd, 5msd, 2 tinies) and one msd head currently, but I'm trying to sell all of them. The only doll I actually consider mine at the moment is one I haven't received yet! 1 little YOSD, can't wait for her to come home!

I have 80 on topic bjds. 40 yosd size, 32 msd size and 8 sd size.

 

For now I have two on topic dolls, but future will bring some more for sure.

 

I have one doll and one floating head at the moment. I thought I only ever wanted 1-2 BJD, but I've quickly proved myself wrong... But I'm just a student right now, so it'll take me a while before I even get a second, I imagine.

 

I have eight on-topic dolls, plus some assorted pieces (such as extra hand parts, foot parts, and heads). Five are 45cm range, three are 70cm range.

 

People answering with "30" and "50" and I even saw a "70" Like holy freak... This scares the heck out of me. I heard it's a huge addiction once you buy your first... but.... My first doll is going to cost $1000... I can't spend the rest of my life as addicted to this as everyone has become Q-Q Drugs would be way cheaper and less damage. I'm only addicted to the expensive ones.

Holly junk how do you do it?? I've been saving for 6 years to get my first one....

I'm with you on this, Meme. I can barely fathom dropping $200 for a second hand fixer-upper on the marketplace right now.

 

Mmm...After almost 12 years in, I have 33 whole dolls, and eleven floating heads, and one floating body. Event heads are my downfall. I've had some very good luck, though, too, and a lot of patience...

I started collecting in March 2015, and I have 15 bjd's. 5 sd's, 2 yosd's, and 8 msd's, and 3 heads. Not exactly sure when I went crazy and got all of these dolls, but I love,love,love them all. Now to just buy some bodies......

 

Oysh. My collection fluctuates on a daily basis. At one point I had almost fifty of them. But I've sold a bunch of them off, but then I bring more in ... at the moment I stand at thirty-seven, the lowest I've been at in a long time. My doll shelves look so empty! lol

Still trying to sell down, though. My tastes have changed a bit, plus there's the room issue. There are still dolls out there I'd love to buy, but I'm trying to cut back.

Now, keep in mind, I've been collecting for ten years now, and I work a full-time job that pays fairly well. Finances have been tight lately, such as leasing a new car, which accounts for me selling off and not buying more, but I'm sure once I've got more wiggle-room in my budget, I'll probably add to the collection again. Just not as ... sporadically as I used to.

Well right this moment I have 9 guys, but 4 more are on the way so I'll have a total of 13, though 2 are going to be for sale so I'll say 11 guys is my total!!! I bought them so quickly.....

 

I have three msd's, one sd and three miniBB's from Dollzone. So the full count is seven, but taking out the minis, it's four. And I have another sd on his way home (hopefully soon). I started collecting in 2010, but it's been years since I last bought a doll.

 

I have over 50 ranging from Realpukis to 35cm and two more on the way. I think I have finally run out of room for any more

 

0 at the moment. I'm waiting for my two MiniFee girls.

Okay, I have 14 although technically I have 10 more that my daughter is trying to sell for me on Facebook (before I had access to marketplace). I know of one more that I could feasibly purchase, but I must stop there!

 

At the moment I have 2 yosd dolls, 16 MSD's, 11 SD dolls and a few floating heads. Way too much, but there are still a few dolls I would like to call my own.

I own two, a YOSD and an MSD. I started the hobby a little over a year ago!

 

It's just two for now (a MSD and YoSD) but I'm working on growing it

 

I have five who are mine, technically. I say technically because I live with my girlfriend and she has bjds too... That I bought. Which would bring up the total to nine. It totally doesn't count because she is their caretaker, right?

 

Eight full dolls plus one headless YoSD body and one floating MSD head. I've just ordered a ninth full doll, and the YoSD head. And I'd like to get the body for that floating head sometime this year.

I'm right at the edge of feeling overwhelmed.

 

I currently have 3 floating heads which I intend to make a full doll when they're back from their face up. And I also have 5 more full dolls on order, waiting for them to arrive. ^^ So a total of 8...and still recruiting...

 

I got two at the moment - an Iplehouse Freesia and a Souldoll Chiron. I used to have plans for many, many more but sadly, life got in the way and it looks like my doll count is going down to zero in the near future.

 

At the moment there are 5 Dollfie Dreams, 1 MSD and two tiny pets. I plan to get a Withdoll sister for my MSD sometime this year~

 

Currently I have 2 but I have a Ria and a Cygne ordered

 

4 at home, 1 incoming... and I don't think I will stop here.

At home with me, I've got three. Two are YoSDs, and the other is an MSD. I've recently finished paying off a layaway on a FOB Mia de Butterfly, so I'm waiting on her. She'll be my second MSD and my fourth bjd overall. ^_^ There's still a lot on my wishlist, though, so I'm not stopping there. xD

 

I have 1 Msd, 1 Yosd and 2 tinies. I really need to slow down I still want one more Yosd though!
