    2. Welcome. I am sure if you start in gallery you will see a lot of examples of dolls out there. After you see a few that peek your curiosity you should look in discussion threads and see how big the dolls are, how they can look different from similar dolls, what people like and don't like about that company and so on. The more research you do the better prepared you will be when you are ready for that first doll. Also know that just because a doll sells for a certain price in one place doesn't mean it's the same all over. Used is always a good idea for your first and if your open with seller they can let you know where they found clothes, wigs and so on. I found if it's hard to find what I am looking for as far as a style of clothing for a doll, the least likely I will buy it. Not all dolls are equal and some people who create dolls are more involved then others.

    5. I totally understand. I have been in this hobby for over 17 years and I have seen a lot of companies come and go. So sometimes you'll feel you have to grab a d right away, but take the time to decide not only size you will enjoy, but type of face, body and clothing styles you will enjoy for many years to come. I have bought over 500 dolls and I can honestly say 90% I would never buy again. So understand that money spent in this hobby seldom do you get back. Deal with people you can trust. Feedback is key. Take your time and learn as much as you can.

    6. Welcome!

DOA is a great source of bjd info. I agree with what others have already said.

In narrowing down from the many bjd temptations...you might consider what size you prefer...SD size 1/3 scale or MSD size 1/4 scale. :)

      Enjoy!
