    1. Hello hi! Call me Fish. I'm a self taught freelance artist that has been doing private commission work for over 8 years!

      I've had one BJD for the longest time (Resinsoul Mei), and I'm currently working my way towards crafting one of my oc, Genevieve! (she will be 3d printed with a resin printer, using the proper bjd resin :3 ik she's off topic so I'll keep any discussion of her to the proper places. I should also mention I purchased the .stl files from their respective creators-- if I need to credit them in this post lmk!)

      I have my eye on a few other dolls (Impldolls my beloved.... One day I will have one...) but for now I'm focused on pampering my current doll-- which includes finally getting her some shoes!

      I'm a big lover of the fantasy genre, and tend to gravitate to any media that includes that theme-- particularly in the D&D setting, but I do also enjoy FFXIV. I'm also a huge Kingdom Hearts fan! I look forward to chatting here and finally using this account!

      I've admired the BJD scene for as long as I can remember, and as of 2026 I'd love to start dipping my toes into the community proper :) It's wonderful to meet you all!

    2. Hihi!! Welcome!! I'd love to see pics of your Mei and Genevive sometime. The workshop section of the forum has lots of wonderful bjd making tutorials and journeys. What kind of shoes are you looking at?? I hope you enjoy the forum, it's lots of fun ^u^

    3. I'm planning on making a doll page for Mei at some point (She had a name at one point but I've since forgotten it :( I've had this doll for about 8 years now lol )

      As for Genevieve I'm not sure if I can share art here, if you'd like I can PM you with some pic links of her! :) I'll probably make a post in the off topic channel as well abt her, I'm unsure if I can post in the Dollmaking Project Journals or not. If I can then yay!

      Regarding shoes... I'm just looking for something within a reasonable price to fit Mei (5.5cm feet) I found a few options and am currently bidding on some cute mary janes on Ebay, and bought some converse on Mercari! So fingers crossed they fit (I checked the measurements and it SHOULD be good. :,) made the mistake of not doing so years ago and am stuck with very large shoes lol)

      I have some design ideas I want to sketch out for Mei... I never really tied an idea down for her. Perhaps I'll post about that too!! :3

    4. Welcome! It's always good to meet new doll people.

      Once you gain Marketplace access, you might be able to find some nice secondhand shoes for your Mei. :)

    5. I've seen lots of otherwise "off topic" dolls posted in the making a bjd area. The designs for her could go there too! I think it's understood that in the process of making a bjd there are many steps, and some of those can involve 3d modeling and printing.

      Mary Janes and Converse are so classic, I hope they work out!!

    6. Fellow resinsoul owner and KH fan, hi! While my resinsoul girlie doesn’t wear shoes (based on an OC of mine who also doesn’t), I have an myou 44cm doll with 5.4cm feet and she’s able to fit pretty much all general MSD sized shoes I’ve got for her so hopefully your mei won’t have too much trouble

    7. Yeah I discovered that and made a post in there last night! <3 I need to find time to start chipping away at her again. [ link to post ]

      The shoes should be shipping out soon so I'll know in around a week or so if they'll fit :,3

    9. Welcome! There is a lot of fun to be had in the community sharing your own projects, gathering info and seeing what everyone else is into!
      I think we all deserve a pat on the back when we finally get a doll some decent shoes after neglecting to do so. (I'm congratulating myself on that right now actually) So I hope your shoe hunt proves victorious!
      I'm sure Mei will let you know the new name she fancies. Every now and then a big change is good for all of us. ;) either that or you'll wake in the middle of the night and suddenly remember what her last name was!
