I could not make up my mind on her so well I got her anyway!! I just hope she has a top lip, one of the pics on yahoo looked like she really didn't.

SO - I may be willing to sell mine but I will have to wait to see her in person. I made a bit error on Madoka passing and still looking for one now.

Yes I think there is but you just have to phone fast, can't you phone? the picked up on first try for me and only took a few minutes on the phone. They didn't ask for much just my name and telephone number so they won't even know wink

The cat is a special send-away thing only available to Japanese addresses. There are only 100 of them, too, so they're going to be hard to get. (I wonder what they'll be worth on the secondary market?...) It's not the same as having the real thing, but it's such a simply little critter that I'm going to sew my own to welcome Suzume home ^_^

...I'm curious as to how many dolls Haute Doll had.... Looks like at least 50 Juns! (I got number 40)

OMG! I can't believe I got Isao!!! I'm here in the eastern time zone and I just read this thread! So I call the number and reserve him! The lady said that they only had a few more left. Good thing I didn't want Jun- I wouldn't have stood a chance! Well I guess that's my Christmas present to myself...and birthday present, graduation present...

Wow, Karen, thanks for sharing pics of your Jun with us, she is so gorgeous! I'm glad I ordered her. I just got my issue of the magazine today (ordered it online!), and it looks wonderful. I haven't read a good doll magazine in ages!

 

so... worth... the money!! O_O I've yet to see a Jun photo that made her look anything but gorgeous.

It's amazing that you got half of the Isao's made, too! There were only 100... If 50 went to Haute Doll, where the other 50 sold at the Dollpa or were a few held for international orders? I think this is the first instance in the history of BJD wherein those of us in the US had a much better shot at LEs than the Japanese fans! It sounds like everyone who wanted a Jun or Isao got one (especially since you've got a few left still.)

 

I think Volks made about 150 Isaos. 100 of them went to the doll party and the rest of them are here in US. I don't think they provide any Isao to international customers except for US.

While I think it's obviously been a great system... I really hope they work something out for the next dolpa, because I'm not in the US, and would hate to miss out on being able to get a limited I really wanted to at least try for just because of that. Hopefully if HauteDoll do this again, there'll be some way for internationals to order as well!

 

Well..and also remember that Volks already released Isao on Dollpa 11.......
so...the hometown people already got their fill of him.........and probably not hurting any.......
Isao2 is already being sold by pieces in Y!J.....I think some Japanese fans will be more intersted in his outfit more than anything.....and Isao's legendary cool boots

Wow, this is crazy exciting. ;_; I sent in my payment this morning and I got to be all special and use my bank's magic bill-paying thing. I'll be waiting a little longer for Jun, but waiting is almost always worth it. After all, she's my Christmas Doll! ;_; Christmas Dolls are very special dolls as you will know if you ever read The Story of Holly and Ivy as a child.

I sent out my payment this morning for Isao! I made the check out to Haute Doll and I'm sure that's an acceptable payee(I work at a bank ) I can't wait to get him but I will probably keep him in the box until Christmas.

This will be my first LE BJD what can I look forward to? Do I have to put the eyes in? Any sanding?etc. or is all of this stuff done already?

the eyes will be in, but toehrwise he will need dressing and wig application.

les do not apprenetly come sanded or coated. thats the owners responsability =).

 

I just read on the volks site that they include a free Haute Doll magazine with the order of a LE. I wonder if we still get the mag if ordering from Haute Doll themselves. I hope so, then I won't have to wait for B&N to take their sweet time getting it in.

Also I just read on Barbie Bazaar that if you pay Haute Doll with a personal check you have to wait 3 weeks for the check to clear. Now I've only written a total of three checks in all the years I've owned a checking account(I prefer plastic) but that seems longer than usual. If I would've known it would take that long(I expected a week for it to clear) then I would've sent a money order(writing a check was just convenient for me at the time). Looks like I won't be spending Christmas with Isao afterall Gonna have to rely on my DD that I'm expecting to keep me busy til he gets here. ::Going to the waiting room::

Maybe you could call and ask Haute Doll to destroy your check and send them a money order instead. Just remember it has to reach them by December 13th, or your doll may go to someone on the waitlist Since you work in a bank you should also be able to put a stop payment on the check you sent, and have easy access to getting a money order to replace it. I was told that it "could" take upto 3 weeks to process my order if I paid by check, not that it absolutely would...meaning that it could take less time and you might stilll have your doll by Christmas. And if not, you can always celebrate "little Christmas" aka Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th. Just some suggestions, I know its hard to wait. :wink:

Thanks for the suggestions. I thought about having them destroy the check but I figure by the time I send out a money order tomorrow morning(Friday) it may not reach them in time and I would be heart broken if they gave him to someone else. So I guess I have to sweat it out. It is good news to hear that it could take "up to" instead of a firm 3 weeks. So there is hope!

BTW I remember you announced that you got your Kaede not to long ago. I think Kaede is so CUTE! For some reason I could totally see Isao and Kaede as brother and sister, don't know why but I just think they'd look super cute together. Perhaps I should consider getting myself a Kaede too :grin:

Eek! Yours came already? Wow, that was a fast turn around time! I priority-mailed my payment, so maybe mine's on the way, too! (I hope mine comes today and not tomorrow, becuase if she comes tomorrow I'll have to wait all the way to Monday to pick her up. I'm so impatient ^^; )

 

I also got mine today,
I used express mail to send my payment on Monday, so my doll was shipped on Tuesday.
They were shipped using UPS ground.
So I guess you have to wait for a few more days for your Jun

 

Haute Doll do ship quickly. They will ship the doll the same day if you send a money order.

I had gotten my issue from Shops4Dolls&Bears early but I also ordered direct from Haute Doll (late too, I ordered way after the 11/3 cutoff) and it arrived yesterday - I live in Massachusetts too.

If I got mine, then they MUST start showing up today through Monday if not yesterday no?

Has anyone not gotten their Haute Doll LE yet (who didn't send a check)? I'm assuming the holiday rush is just slowing the mail down, but I got my payment in the mail on Monday morning (it left with the first shipping of the day and the postal clerk said it would get there by Wednesday). I know I'm probably just freaking out for no reason, but since Haute Doll wasn't confirming payments or issuing tracking numbers, I'm worried about my Jun's status as she didn't come in today's mail either. I'd email them just to ask if my payment got there, but they don't have an email listed on the page, and it certainly hasn't been long enough to warrant a phone call to their office.

I don't care that she's not here yet, it's just driving me crazy not knowing if my payment got there or not. Did anyone else send a money order via priority mail on monday who hasn't recieved his/her doll yet?

 

Could you maybe ring them up and ask? Or PM KarenC?

I didn't want to phone yet because it has only been 8 days (but, of course, if my payment got lost in the mail they've probably already offered my doll to someone on a waiting list.) I just PM'ed Karen, so hopefully she can tell me if my money order got there. I'll just curl up in a ball and sob if my payment got lost and I've lost Jun forever (but, on the other hand, she could come tomorrow and I could feel silly... I'm trying to remain hopeful!)

 

Don't worry kiwiflowers, I sent my MO via priority mail on the afternoon of Monday the 6th, and my Jun hasn't arrived yet either. I think they ship UPS Ground (don't remember where I heard that), which isn't all that speedy unless you're close by. Hopefully our dolls will arrive soon! :grin:

 

Don't worry too much. Everything will be OK. I had called to confirm my payment, they are very nice and patient and checked their list for me.

I am sure Karen will get back to you, but if you are too worried you could call them the first thing tomorrow .

Thanks for the reassurance ^^;; I didn't know they were shipping UPS (although that makes more sense for an office). The company I work for ships UPS ground as well and it does take a lot longer than US Postal Service. (UPS also has a decidedly difficult time finding my house because our house number is out of order for the street and our door is around the back. Wish she was going USPS because getting to the UPS pickup spot is really difficult for me. (cat barf!)) As long as I hear back that my payment has indeed been recieved, I can wait patiently for her for as long as it takes

 

Actually, my Jun arrived just a little bit after I posted! They DO ship UPS ground. I found the box on my doorstep when I got back from walking the dog, so there's no need to worry about picking it up if you're not home when they deliver. :grin: Weird how they always deliver in the early evening though. Hope your girl arrives soon!

 

My gal is scheduled to arrive tomorrow... and I still don't know what I'm going to name her. I guess she'll tell me when she's ready.

 

I sent the payment Priority Mail with delivery confirmation last Wednesday. It was a money order. Haute Doll got it Friday and shipped out Jun same day. She arrived on my doorstep yesterday. Not bad at all!

On top of that, my long-awaited issue of Haute Doll arrived YESTERDAY at my PO box! Grrrr and here I thought I'd get it before Jun arrived!

 

Karen informs me that my Jun should arrive tomorrow. Yeay! ^___^ (Just after I'm done with finals and have a day off. Rather nice timing ^^)

 

Grrr. I had to send a stinkin' check didn't I? :cry:

Oh well, it'll do good to teach me some patience! Too bad we couldn't have a mass Jun gathering, can you picture them all? I'd love to film a little mini horror movie "Invasion of the Juns" (they just. Won't. STOP!)

Mine came, mine came! She is a cutie. She seems too nice to be here with Ginger and Roger, who are both total a-holes. They've taken to calling her Jet Bucket. She's just taking it in stride.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one with dolls that are snarky and a half. My MSD was supposed to be all cute and child-like, but the only mental voice I can give her consists of all the really snarky things I want to say but restrain myself from voicing outloud. Even though Jun's so cute and innocent, I have a feeling that'll all be a facade for my Jun; she'll be able to rip someone a new one and smile about it so cutely that you can't help but like her ^^;

(I think my Jun also needs dogtags for her entry into the army of Jun...)

annoyed baout what they said about ' other companies' calling them cheap knockoffs. wish theyw oudl fix that and tell teh real story about teh korean dolls. being just as good and lovely as volks. and not copy cats in teh rude why they stated in the mag.

i know they where refering to teh secert doll thing, but wish they would have made thta more clear. instead of generalizeing. that annoyed me.
