Haru Casting Mini Dolls - Part 2

Uhm.. so, i sent my order on Sept.1. Last week, i asked Haru if he received my order form. All he said was that i needed to switch my IG profile to public. Which i did immediately after he told me. I kinda forgot about it (public IG profile) in my excitement. But i still haven't received any email from Haru. Should i be ask him again about it?

 

@ThatiRosen Let us know if you reach out please. I'm wondering if I should too, but I don't want to bother Haru too much. He is quite a busy guy and he deserves to get to things at his own pace!

 

Honestly I think it's okay to send a short message - something like I just made my profile public, I apologize for not doing it before, I forgot to.

I did something like that. I had forgotten to make my personal/knitting Instagram public because I thought it already was, and he messaged me on my doll one to let me know. So after I made it public, I messaged him on both, with the first one saying 'this is my personal/knitting Instagram - I'm sorry it wasn't public before!' And then on my doll one I messaged saying that I made my personal one public.

I left the messages short and simple and just a couple days later he got back to me.

 

I actually did the same thing. I messaged him informing i just made my IG profile public. But i still haven't received my order confirmation yet.

 

I believe historically, he takes a while to send out order confirmations. But I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless its past Sept 30th and you still haven't heard anything.

 

Thanks for adding this! I’ve never ordered a doll directly from him, or using an email process like this, so I‘m not really sure what his processes realistically look like time wise! And I’m sure he’s got a LOT of work cut out with how popular his dolls have become!

For those of you who have harucasting dolls, how would you rate their posing? Any lingering prevalent issues/flaws with the design?

Considering getting a smiling Maji but on the fence!

Only one thing that comes in mind is that my E-Minor wants to pull her left foot next to right foot so that it's a bit difficult to stand. Don't know for sure if that's becouse of stringing or something like that but I've not tried to suede her yet. Otherwise her posing is great.

 

I ordered my Maji on 16/09 and received his email on 22/09 so around 4 business days. He said he had been busy with other casting orders. I guess that's why after I confirmed my payment that he hasn't given me any update yet.
If anyone hasn't got any emails from him by now, probably should send a short email to ask him.

Stupid question probably, but as long as I put my order in before 30.Septemer it is alright yes?
Or do I need to make sure I order early enough that harucasting has send the confirmation and I paid before end of 30.9?

 

I think you can order on the last day too. Just make sure all demands in the form are met so he can approve it faster. I just got his confirmation for payment today.

 

I sent my order in on Sept 2 but didn't get a final confirmation until today, Sept 27. I reached out to Haru on Instagram Sept 24 asking if he got my email and he had missed it, so definitely reach out if you haven't heard back by now! He's got a lot of orders this time around, I'm sure, and he's a busy guy. He's so friendly and sweet about fixing issues too.
Now I can officially say I have Wind and Smile Maji on preorder~!

Got my confirmation for Wind yesterday! I've never owned a bjd before, but I'm so glad I stumbled on harucasting right when there was a preorder open, I would've been bummed if I'd bumped into it in October and missed out on such a beautiful sculpt--especially since I'm realizing it's tough to find sculpts in darker skin tones and Haru has such a great range. So excited haha.

Has anyone here owned an Eminor before? That's the body Wind uses, and I wanted to see if I could order her some clothes ahead of time. Any suggestions for places to buy or sizes to go for? I'm realizing that there are a ton of specifics for every aspect of the customizing process and absorbing it all over the last month has been slow going lol

 

The way I found clothes for Maji (don't have her yet, I got in on the current preorder) is checking Instagram and finding other users who have her, some of those users make and sell clothes that fit specifically her

Beyond that, what I've done is take her measurements (I think he has listed measurements for all/most his dolls in his saved video things, whatever Instagram calls those haha) and make just a general, probably not so flattering, sweater dress so my doll won't have to live nude when I recieve her haha

 

The Eminor body fits in most clothing made for slim-minis or Minifees. Dresses will run shorter on her, because she’s taller than a Minifee, and bottoms will need to run a bit large or be made with stretchy material because her booty and hips are bigger. But in general most of my dolls can share all the clothing I’ve bought in slim mini or Minifee size over the years.

 

I only recently started using instagram with anything close to regularity, so its been kind if mystifying to me, lol. Is there a way people usually tag sales posts for particular dolls? My hand sewing leaves a lot to be desired so the likelihood of me making clothes from scratch is pretty slim haha

I'll keep that in mind about the minifees! I havent looked at things in that size range so I'll have to start

 

If you want perfectly fit one. Haru often tags people who made clothes for his doll on his stories and posts. I've just ordered handmade woollen clothes for my Maji from one of his friends when I found out the person is living in my city

I actually know how to sew, so most basic pieces I will make myself (shorts, jackets, hoodies, shirts, things like that) - however I will buy pants with pockets (I hate sewing pockets) and overalls, cuz that looks like a lot of work haha

Same!! I I don't know how to do crochet so I mostly buy those. The annoying one for me is making vests

 

I knit and crochet - and love working with tiny yarns - so I'm going to knit my dolls sweaters and cardigans - I sorta have an idea in my head that she likes cozy, slightly oversized sweaters, which are easiest for me haha

I have knit for Smartdolls, so Maji being 1/4 will make for quicker knits

Hey lovely people, I have a short question. I have a E-Minor that I restrung because the hook dug into her neck when I removed her head T_T I just gave her a tad bit more elastic but now she's kinda...not so sturdy anymore? She can stand but handling her is a pain. Did anyone of you have to suede their dolls after restringing? I don't want to string her as tight as she was before...

 

oh boy....Haru's most recent story is a pile of heads. I wonder if that means he's getting ready to send the heads that need faceups out?

popping in here since im in the recent preorder, im finally getting my hands on a maji!! ive been eyeing them for years and finally have the chance to buy her T__T im so so excited, i havent gotten a new full doll in years! i forgot the anticipation!

 

I recently (ish) got into BJDs after eyeing them for years (like I'd seen pictures, but wasn't sure what they were) and placed a pre order for Maji, thinking she'd be my first real BJD... found a little Geuru second hand and ordered her, she got here 2 days ago haha. I couldn't wait on Maji long enough to hold back but I'm glad I got her, that means I'll have 2 of Harus dolls

 

Yes, yes - me too ^__^ He'll be my 2nd Haru boy after Neul - unless Haru decides to do another round of Modeun prior or at the same time of Its' release. If that'd be the case, I'll have to put away a whooole chunk of money in order to bring home both :')

I got so excited when I saw he was shipping out the heads that need faceups. I should start saving the money I’ll need for shipping now, so I’ll have it ready to go on the day he requests it. I paid the other half of my layaway a few weeks back, so the stress of that is gone, at least lol

 

Any news about the last preorder?

 

He told me they will ship in February when I asked earlier this week. It got delayed a lot because he had delays finishing casting work for other artists.

 

What size eyes is everyone using with their Maji's? I have 12mm w/6mm iris and my Maji always looks surprised.

 

I wanna say mine is wearing 14mm…. I think? Hmm… I usually go for larger ones because I really like the “dolly” look.

edit- maybe they are 12’s.. Argh, I can’t remember…

My Maji wears 12mm Oscar Doll eyes, I’m thinking the iris is probably 7mm. Maybe just try a pair with a bigger iris?

 

I remember him posting on IG stories that some of them were cast and being sent for face ups a while back, but nothing since then. I'm waiting for Wind and I have not heard anything official.

My Maji wears 12mm/6mm. I’ve got Wind, Morae, and Smiling Maji incoming, and I’ve yet to secure eyes for one of them but at least everybody has wigs and clothes.

 

Seriously considering if I am able to transfer my current dolls into Harus sculpts.
It does work with some but maybe not all - waaah, why do I love his dolls so much?!
It's escalating into a: wanna collect them all! - situation xD

I recently saw a Harucasting Modeun pop up on the secondhand market from a person in the same country as me and well... gonna pay him off this week x]

Does someone have sources where to get them nice wigs?
Preferably Alpaca, Mohair - I just love the feeling of the more natural stuff

Maybe even know shops/makers within the EU in hopes to avoid customs?
In the past I got wigs only from Belachix but maybe there are more possibilities. =)

 

@YoGi.The.Mighty My Maji has 12mm/6mm and and I do find she looks surprised if I position them straight forward, but they're ok if she's looking to the side. I've been looking for 12mm/7mm too!

 

I’m getting so antsy waiting for my Morae and Wind, but I suppose it’s for the best, because I don’t have the money together to pay their shipping fee yet, anyways.

I’m feeling so impatient waiting lol. I already paid for their faceups a few months ago too. I keep obsessively checking Instagram everytime Haru posts a new story, hoping to see some pics of them being casted.

It's so exciting to see new Haru girls on his stories They look lovely!! I'm especially fascinated by Wind, because her features are so unique.

I keep wondering how his tan resin colors look in real life, because each color looks different on every photo. In this pre-order I ordered three dolls in 3 different shades of tan. It stresses me out how these colors will look in person, and if my choices were good

 

My Morae arrived❣️ She can wear and stand in 1/6 shoes without her feet attached.

 

My girls came in today. They are so beautiful. Their heads are already packed up to be sent out for faceups tonight
