Haru Casting Mini Dolls - Part 2

Ahhhh I love seeing everyone’s Neuls and Joas. I’m also interested in the new one Haru has been sculpting, Morae! Curious to see how she’ll turn out.

Meanwhile I made my Maji dress in unfinished cosplay for a small anime convention over the weekend, and she didn’t seem thrilled with the idea

Hey all! My Joa is currently waiting for me at work. I’ve been sick so haven’t been able to get my hands on her yet.
I’m in the middle of making another wig cap for a Maji and noticed that she’s strung so tight it’s bent the S hook... I’ve read many times that Haru strings his dolls extremely tight, has this happened to anyone before? It’s stuffed my S hook. She’s always been very very kicky, due to being strung so tight, but I have never encountered this. One of her leg joints is also rubbing so tight against each other is slowly filing down the resin. I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. I’m about to restring her, I’m a bit nervous to see if Joa is strung just as tightly.

 

My Joa came on Saturday and I don't think she's strung excessively tightly! I sprayed a couple of base coats of MSC on her head, just need to find time to actually give her a faceup now.

She's beautiful, but she definitely has tiny feet! A pair of moccasins that are roomy but basically workable on my Narae classic are way too big on her. I'm guessing standard MSD shoes are totally out for her.

 

There are some AMAZING shoe makers on Etsy. I've ordered a whole bunch form JenyaTeplaya - her work is incredible! I Highly suggest looking into her shoes. They fit Haru dolls perfectly (even my Souldoll Kid), but otherwise I'm struggling to find shoes that fit as well.

 

She fits my A line minifee shoes without any problems. Her feet are almost the same size (less than 1 mm difference)


These sandals are a tad big on my minifee too. There is a slight difference but its not much as you can see from the side to side comparison

 

My Joa/Neul couple arrived this week. The funny thing is, I posted on insta and another Dutch bjd collector bought them in exactly the same resin color combination. You just can’t get enough of a great thing LOL

Does anyone here have haru's dolls in tan for a while? I wonder how it holds up in terms of color change

 

Does Haru only open preorders for new dolls or does he go back and offer new preorders for previously released dolls? She's not my usual style but I've now seen enough of E-Minor on Instagram to think I want one ...

Did I miss the pre order on Joa and Neul? It says they're available on his website and I'm going to be heartbroken if I did... I have known about Harucasting for a while but have never ordered from them or known much about them aside from loving the pictures they take. Neul and Joa stole me

I was very confused about it because on his website it says orders were open and some of the comments on Instagram about pre orders and such (comments/questions that would make me think it was still open) were from last month. Like I said, I don't know how this company in particular works, so I wondered if he had re-opened them or something since Nov was such a long time ago now.

 

Orders actually are closed for them. The website is just out of date. In fact, my November preorder was just put in the mail to me on Monday.

So with the November orders soon to be off Haru’s to-do list, maybe we’ll see another opportunity pretty soon.

 

@Littlebirdzoom The recent pre order talk is about the new dolls he has not released yet (Nori, Eorin, Willow, Morae). He posted in stories a while ago the next pre order will be April/May, but Neul and Joa might not be part of it. Instagram is the only site he regularly updates.

Can't wait to order a Maji! Meanwhile, I haven't finished my Joa's faceup yet because I keep being unhappy with the eyebrows and starting over... SIGH. I'll get it eventually I hope.

 

I pre ordered a Neul, at least i think i did. How long does it take to get a confirmation?

 

Communication from Haru is a bit slow. I think I was left hanging for about a week at one point. If you sent the email and got his email address correct, just sit tight!

My Neul just arrived. He is strung so unbelievably tightly I can’t get his hands off to dress him so I can’t even get him dressed for a decent photo. Is this how Haru dolls are? Is there a trick to loosening him up enough to unhook a hand without breaking anything?

 

@Singull @Lokinta thanks you for your answers, i'll just be a little more patient. ( i am always worried i did something wrong and i ordered as soon as the pre order was opened)

 

Has anyone brought it up with him? I know if the elastic is too loose the doll won't pose well but presumably it won't move at all if it's too tight?

Makes me wonder how he does it!

I think at this point I’ll just accept his assembly and sew up some different clothes for him. I can’t justify restringing with new cord because all my elastic is being used up for face masks.

He is quite cool though. I’m trying to decide on a hairstyle..

I ordered a Big Geuru, a Joa, and a Maji in the April preorder. Does anyone know what size eye looks best in them? I’m trying to plan out things for them now, so they’re ready to go when they get here.

 

My Maji is wearing a 12mm by Mako. My Joa head is at the artist's house, but I believe the 12mm Makos looked good in her, too.

 

Yay I've joined the April preorder for Eminor! I know Haru has different bodies for Eminor, Maji and Joa... are there significant differences between them?

there are, especially in the butt and thigh area. But anything loose or strechy that works on the one will probably fit another too. Haru has posted measurements of all 3 on his insta account. I will try to find the pics and add them here so you can see. Joas butt size isn,t in the pic but it is 21 cm so her body size resembles Maji a lot except for the waist.

 

It is 1/2 down and the other half I guess when the dolls are done, but not sure since i payed the second term myself before he asked on my order.

I'm in for an E-Minor! Does anyone have any advice on eyes? I know she needs 12mm low dome but I'm an eye newbie and don't really know why she needs a "special" kind. Gapping?

I've seen Mako eyes mentioned several times - their site shows everything is sold out, but the Q&A suggests they just aren't taking orders during Covid times. So should I wait until they reopen or are there other options? I'll be able to find something I like on their site but nothing especially stands out.

 

I never not a confirmation of my payment, nor an ordernumber, should i start worrying? (I paid in full on april 10th)

 

He never confirmed my initial payment, but I dm’d him on Instagram after I sent my second payment, and he confirmed to me that he got it, and then awhile later sent me a message telling me my order numbers. He’s much quicker to respond on Instagram than emails. If it’s worrying you, I would just message him on IG and ask! He’s a really nice guy.

 

@TulliaTacita low dome vs high dome is the height of the eye. Some dolls have deeper eye wells and can handle high & low dome; others eye wells are shallow and can only handle low dome.

Thank you for your answer. I kind of guessed those things should have worked, but wanted to ask just in case.
I'll be searching for quite specific stuff, since it is supposed to look like the stuff my sons wears. (Can 't leave the boy nude on arrival, because that would probably be an incentive for my son to do the same, something about boys and no clothes in this house is a reoccuring theme........)

 

In Haru’s story on IG yesterday he posted that he’s shipping of a batch of heads from the April preorder to Russia for faceups. Hopefully this means blank dolls will be ready soon. I think he originally said they would be shipping out in July? I’m so excited for my girls.

Yeah after those pics he posted the other day of Geurim, I’m going to probably need her too. Will be able to say for sure once he posts her with a faceup. But right now the plan is to buy a Morae, E-minor, and Geurim whenever they’re available next, if I have enough funds together for it.

 

@Singull i know! Lol. I have a Maji, a Joa, and a Big Geuru on order from April. It’s a lot of money to drop at once, but with how infrequently he does preorders, it’s totally worth it to me!

I asked Haru tonight on Instagram how long he thinks until he’s done with the April preorder dolls. He replied with a picture of a ton of recently casted Maji’s, and said he’s still in the process of casting, but those without faceups should be ready to go home at the end of July/early August. So only a little while longer!!! Eeeeeeee!!

Also, I may or may not have bought a secondhand E-Minor on Instagram today. Haha. I’m so excited!!!
