That’s true. And like Singull said, there’s always Maji’s popping up on the secondhand market for when you do have a way of safely spending money again. Listen to the responsible people and not my silly butt.

I've fallen in love with many of his dolls and have planned to get at least one the next time he does his pre-orders (yes I do understand each preorde is for certain dolls)

I did message him the other day and ask if I missed the pre-order and he replied he had no plans for one yet with everything going on atm

I've been eyeing the few places I know of/have access to for second hand dolls for the time being, but will definitely order directly from him when I can! Meanwhile I'll continue to follow the tags of the dolls on Instagram, I love seeing how beautiful everyone's dolls are - not sure how to tag on here yet, but dxgirly, I think I've seen some of your Instagram posts and they were some that lead me to his dolls

I'm so excited for it! Maji is one of my grail dolls and I've been saving up for the next pre-order. If I remember correctly, he said before that you can get both heads for Maji, I'm hoping thats still an option.

 

I am excited! I will be getting a Morae and if I can manage it I would love to get a Maji or Wind.

 

She is so pretty, I really like Geurim a lot.

I was on summer holiday and asked Haru to delay the shipping until I was sure to be at home when Modeun will arrive so now I'm back home and Haru said he'd ship my doll on Monday. Yay, I'm exited to see Modeun in person.

I didn't receive a photo from his face up so I was curious if Haru usually sends a faceup photo before shipping dolls out? Thanks for any answer.

 

I don’t think he does unless you specifically ask for it.

 

I didn't so that's propably it. My Modeun was shipped on Monday, so yay, exiting times ahead. And quite a lot of sewing to do too.

 

How tall is Maji? Plans with another doll are falling apart and I am wondering if I should just buy a Maji, but I need to know her height. Is she closer to a Minifee or Souldoll Kid in size? Thank you everyone.

I really love the color of this wig on her but the bangs cover up her eyes too much so I bought a long wavy one that just has a side part, no bangs. I’m hoping it’ll be the one!

 

Quinn got some boots! It makes her look like she has Kingdom Hearts feet, but I still really love them on her.

Hello everyone, It's been a while since I've been in the forum. Owning a Haru Casting has also been a dream of mine. Is it possible to order from him without having an Instagram? I don't do social media.....
Also, when was the last time that JOA was offered, she is my grail .

People have asked this before and I think (?) they’ve been successful in ordering. You just have to be able to prove to him that you are pro-artist and only collect legit dolls, and have positive feedback somewhere that he can look at. I could be wrong, though, because I know in his last preorder you had to have an Instagram profile that publicly stated your anti-recast stance, so I’m not sure how people without social media got around that… hmmm… either way, I would just email him to ask after the preorder opens. Worst he can say is no. Just know that he takes awhile to reply to emails, especially compared to how fast he replies to Instagram DM’s.

As for Joa, she was in his last preorder that was held in February/March which he just finished shipping out. There likely won’t be another preorder for her until next year, at the earliest.

I'll just keep an eye on this thread when someone announces his next preorder of Joa.

So if I've only gotten dolls from other sites and not people, how would I show positive feedback?
I don't have a BJD yet, I have smartdolls, pullip, and playline dolls. My doll Instagram is public and says what it needs to, and even my 'personal' Instagram (it's mainly about knitting) is public so I have history on both of those.
I'll still email him when pre-order time rolls around, but if someone knows I could prepare myself haha

 

I think decides on an individual basis, from person to person, but if he chooses to do what he did with the last preorder, he will say you need to put #anti-recast/#probjdartist in your profile description on Instagram, and I *think* you should be fine. He got a LOT of pushback with that on the last preorder, though, so I can’t be 100% certain he’ll do it that way again… I guess we’ll find out for sure the requirements he has this time around in a few days, since he said the preorder will open September 1st.

I will say, he is VERY wary of selling to people with no doll history or feedback, because he has heard rumors before that people are trying to get ahold of his dolls to make recasts. So just bear that in mind.

 

I do have a doll Instagram, just not one with BJDs yet - I fully understand him being careful. I'm just worried now because I've been so excited to own one of his and it might not happen.
I'll ask him though when the time comes, if I can't then I'll just have to wait until I can own one second hand, his dolls are on the top of my wish list so I'm hoping I can get them first.

Oh I totally understand! He’s very nice, though, so I think he’d be willing to work with you. I would send in a preorder email with the form filled out the best you can for your situation, and see what he says once the period is open. Like I mentioned in one of my previous posts, just be aware that he takes awhile to reply to emails, whether they’re questions or order forms. I only say this because it worried the crap out of me with how long it took, the first time I ordered from him. lol

 

I've messaged him a handful of times on Instagram, always pleasant interactions.
The worst he can say is no - and if I get my hands on one second hand, I can also get his next pre-order.
I'll see what he says when the time comes, and see how things play out. Hopefully things go in my favor haha I'd be so excited.
And when I do email, I'll have to tell myself he's busy, because I go get nervous if an email goes unanswered for a while haha but it'll be worth the wait!

 

Speaking of order forms, which of his websites has it listed? I'd like to have an idea who much I'd have to save up.

He actually only posts it in the Instagram post he makes when preorder officially opens. If you’d like, I can copy/paste it here once he makes the post if it helps you out!
And he will make the website show prices once preorder is open.

I’m totally in the same boat. I haven’t really bought a ton of second hand dolls and I haven’t set up a feedback feed on Instagram. The one I have here on DoA has one review. I also have an Instagram but it’s mostly private and I haven’t started a doll account yet. I ended up compiling all my second hand purchases and set up a flickr album for feed back (I did black out all personal info) and I hope that works enough for feedback history.

 

I actually hadn’t bought any secondhand dolls when I placed my first order; I only had feedback as seller. But I did have a very active doll Instagram account. Idk. I really hope you are all able to order! His dolls are amazing.

also maybe screenshots of order receipts with legit companies and dealers will help?

 

When I first ordered in 2018 I had no dolls, a personal instagram, and I gave my ebay account feedback info.

Yes, Maji - with her extras. She's one of the top ones on my wishlist - I already have a plan on how I'm going to attempt styling her and what clothes I want to make her! I don't remember if I actually said it before haha

Maji and Joa are my two top ones, with a couple others following those on my list

 

Oh lovely. She’s a beautiful sculpt. What color are you planning on ordering her in? That’s one of my favorite things about Harucasting: all the different shades he offers

 

I think medium tan or mild tan (using one of his old pictures of all of his colors for reference) but I'm not sure - there's so many beautiful tones I want, I think each girl I get from him will be a different color just so I can enjoy them all haha

 

My Maji is in mild tan. I sort of wish I had ordered medium tan for her, though. Tans are so hard to photograph. You really don’t know how light or dark they’ll be til you see them in person.

My super dark girl from another artist, that was cast by Harucasting, photographs WAY lighter than she is, for some reason, unless I have her in very specific lighting conditions.

I also get all my dolls from him in different colors. lol. My only exception to that is my E-Minor, who is the only one I bought secoundhand, so I didn’t have much choice that she was the same color as my Big Geuru.

 

Ah I didn't think of that - I'm already not too good at taking pictures haha like they come out, but lighting is usually weird for me

I'll probably look at some pictures of her that people have on Instagram and see how theirs look and if they say what color it is - that'll help me decide I think

I clicked on some of his tags on his comparison picture (the one with doll legs) but I was going to just click on Majis tag then see which of those I gravitate towards most and work from there haha that'll be my wind down thing I do tonight when settling down. I'm hoping I decide soon, since the preorder is only a few days away (I know it's a month long, I want to be able to email and solve any issues I may have and still leave time to still get the doll if I can)

 

Does anyone know if all harucasting msd dolls wear 12mm or 14mm eyes?

Hi everyone!
This is my first time trying to participate in a Harucasting preorder. I say "trying" because I sent in an order form for Big Geuru and I have no clue if I'll actually be able to get her or not. I requested NeulMediumTan for the color.

If I'm not successful in getting Geuru, I'm waffling between Wind and Morae. They are both beautiful but I'm not sure who will better fit with my collection. Currently my 1/4 scale dolls are DoDollsDream Clementine Lily and Dust of Dolls Roze Heln.

 

Good luck with Big Geuru! Between Morae and Wind, I think Morae would be complement your current dolls nicely. Either would really, but that would be my choice

I wish I could order them all! But I just started with Morae, but if my situation changes I will get another.

 

Yeah, he released so many cuties all at once in this preorder. It was definitely hard to choose! Too bad I'm not rich!

 

I really wanted to get Big Geuru for a long time, but with all the different options, I'm not so sure! I'm kind of anxious since Big Geuru is limited .... if I wait too long to make a decision I definitely won't get her lol.

But wind is SO pretty!!! And then Smile Maji.... Ugh too good... Any opinions on who from this run would look best as friends with Joa? (I have her in Joa Dark Tan).

Also if I do get one, I'm going to film a box opening so if anyone wants to see a box opening of someone in particular that could sway me too

 

I’ve also really wanted a Big Geuru, but my eyes are set on wind for this preorder. I’ll wait for the Big Geuru preorder next year. I also asked Haru about my feedback situation and I hope I can still order one.

 

I have both sizes in mine. It depends how much white you want showing in their eyes.

 

The only feedback I have anywhere is about 50 reviews etsy (spanning 4ish years ), my moms ebay I used years ago (so any recent reviews are her), and Facebook marketplace for yarn - non of mine is doll related, I don't own a BJD yet, and he said I'm fine. I messaged him on Instagram and he answered very fast like he always does.

He seems lenient as long as you're friendly and have some doll history (I have a doll Instagram that's a few months old)

 

I sent an email order for Maji, both heads, on a Joa body.
The knee info scares me or I would've gotten the Maji body, but this is officially (hopefully) my first bjd so I went with safe
