Haru Casting Mini Dolls - Part 2

Yep Maji is on the list, as well as Morae and Smiling! Maji. I’m hoping he’ll let existing Maji owners purchase just the smiling head… I have no room for a whole ‘nother Hulk with my Geurim on the way

 

Oooh! I am so wanting a Maji. I’m hoping I can get the funds together in time.

 

i am super excited for the pre-order in july. i know its still weeks away, but i already prepared the pre-order form base from the feb.pre order. what do you guys usually add in the DOLL FEEDBACK section? I'm kinda worried because i dont have transactions from DoA, Ebay, Etsy or IG yet. i bought my dolls directly from the company and then relied on local artists for my their face-ups, eyes, and clothes. so i dont know what to write on that part. does Haru rejects an order? and lastly, how long does the production usually takes?

 

It has been difficult. I cannot choose who I want to adopt this preorder! More or Maji... I really want both, but I can't. I want to save for another preorder that starts in July. ‍ I do love Maji's smiling face, so I'm leaning towards her atm. I don't know his usual production time since the last preorder was my first. He hasn't officially posted an update for the last preorder. Hopefully soon! I'm dying to get Geurim home! oh and I didn't really have feedback either a couple months ago, so you could let him know that you've bought from these different artists, and let him know what you bought too. That's what I did.

 

ThatiRosen I think the purpose of that question is to determine that you're not buying the doll to have it recast. Just tell him a bit about your collection and you'll be fine.

I share your dilemma. Haru's doll makes you wanna collect them all.so its been about 4 - 5 months? and it'll take longer if i opted for a face-up. considering that the pre-order is in July, i guess i'd have Maji next year. its a long wait but its worth it. it'll give more time to prepare stuff for her or order another doll

 

I want to see the hulk thickness in person lol! but yea it's been about 3 months going from when the last preorder ended which was March 15th. It hasn't been too long I'm just super impatient and excited.

 

Turnaround time is usually 3-4 months. That last preorder ended March 15th, and he doesn’t like to open preorders until the previous ones have shipped, so those should be done very, very soon. If he does the next preorder in July, you’d likely get them in November or December

 

honestly, who wouldn't be excited for their dolls arrival? Look at me, the pre-order hasnt even started and yet i'm totally ecstatic already.

i started counting from the 1st day of the pre-order. that isnt actually a long wait. i hope i get enough funds for her stuff by the time she arrives.

 

I paid off my Geurim tonight. Hoping I can get the funds together to order a Morae during the July preorder.

now I just need to wait for the email from Haru about shipping cost, when the dolls are done. I wonder how much Korean EMS is running right now. Hmmm…

 

I’m also trying to see if I can get the funds for Morae and Smiling Maji. I didn’t order Geurim and I regret it so much

 

Can Haru's girls wear heeled shoes?

 

No, they cannot. Morae is going to be the first that comes with a set of heel feet, though.

 

I hope I can order a Maji in July. It will be my first order from Harucasting.

Are the amount of dolls he puts up for preorder limit? Do you have to be super quick to secure one?

I read in the thread he wants family & friends payment; how does he act if there is an issue with a Doll? Like a broken finger? Anyone who has experience with that?

 

There is no preorder quantity limit. As long as you email your order within the order period you'll get a doll.

You can pay friends & family, or pay goods & services. When paying goods & services he adds the transaction fee to the order amount.

 

I bought my Maji girl secondhand a couple months ago and got her at the beginning of this month. I'm sosososososo in love, omg.

I’m so glad he doesn’t do quantity limited. That would stress me out so much.

 

Has anyone asked if the heelfeet for Morae will be available for sale separately? I'd so much want a pair for my E-minor.

 

He doesn’t typically sell parts separately, even heads. It bothers him that resin colors vary a bit amongst batches. Or at least that’s what he said when people asked if they could just buy the smiling Maji head separately. I guess he doesn’t want dolls with mismatched parts out there representing his brand? Idk. He’s very particular with that. He’s said he’s not a fan of hybrids, either, though he is letting people buy Maji on the Joa body this time around.

Also I’m not even sure if Morae’s heel feet would fit E-Minor, because Morae has her own body, and it’s smaller than the other girls.

You could always dm him to ask though. He’s very nice.

 

Haru’s new Wind head sculpt has me dying over here! She’s so unique and beautiful. I need her in my life!

 

@xaya I think yesterday or the day before I saw Haru posted a picture in his IG stories of Wind on the E-Minor body with Morae's heel feet so it probably does work (as long as I am remembering his post correctly lol)! I agree with @dxgirly that he doesn't usually sell parts for people to mix-and-match though. If you find out please let us know!

 

@kuro I saw it and I actually asked him if there was a chance to order the heel feet separately, he said "Sorry, not. Only Morae has them.". And a bit after that I saw the photo of Wind with Morae heel feet/E-minor body. So I guess he thought about it.

 

i actually asked Haru if he would make heeled feet for his girls. he said that he only made one for Morae. and then i asked if it fits Maji (because i was hoping that if would fit, then maybe i could buy it). to which he answered that it would fit Maji but he wouldn't sell it. a day later, he posted Wind on the E-minor body with Morae's heeled feet.

 

Haru told me a few days ago that the February/March preorder dolls should be completed and ready for shipment in the next two weeks! I’m so excited for my Geurim to come home!

 

Is that just the blank dolls? I haven’t seen any updates about faceupped dolls, so I’m curious. I’m giddy for my Geurim!

 

Ah yeah, it might be, as I always order mine blank and he knows that.

 

Haru will always say “NOOOOO I DONT LIKE IT” and then go take pictures of whatever thing it was he is such a funny man. But I think his thinking is - he doesn’t wanna offer it separately because his vision is Morae only has heel feet, but if anyone has both he wants them to know what’s possible. Offering Maji on Joa’s body is an exception because he said the measurements are the same (thus still fits his vision of Maji) and the joints are less fragile, and he’s obsessed with perfection!

 

I'm new to Haru's dolls, and was wondering if anyone knows if he's including vitiligo skin to this upcoming July pre-order? Also, I haven't seen any posts of Morae's body measurements, but I could have just missed out on that information, does anyone know?

 

Haru said a few weeks ago that he will not be doing a vitiligo preorder this year.

Was that for the no face up dolls? I ordered a face up for my Modeun and didn't receive a notice yet.

 

Yes, he always sends dolls without faceups first, because they are done sooner.

*edit* or at least in my experience, I should say. I’ve bought during three of his preorders now.

@xaya I want to say he times them so they won’t be too far behind? Like he casts the dolls that need to be faceupped first, then ships those to MayakDolls in Russia, then works on dolls without faceups and ships them home while she works on the faceups.
I know for the preorder from last Septemberthere was a problem with the Russian post not wanting to deliver the dolls to the faceup artist because the box was too large. So he had to wait for them get sent back and then he had to reship them in several smaller packages to her. Plus shipping to and from Russia during the pandemic hasn’t been the fastest. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer for you guys, though!

 

So many of you ordered Modeun! Can't wait for you guys to share him ♡ I was so tempted by him as well but I've had Neul on my radar for too long, he had to be first ^.^

If the MSD size works out for me, I'm definitely set on getting Modeun too when he'll hopefully be back next year~

And then there's also a 3rd boy Haru hinted at... ×_×°

Im getting the OG maji for sure, though depending on how much she costs I might snatch up a smiling maji as well for a set of twins. ^^

 

I’m definitely getting a Morae, and maybe a smiling Maji, as well. Will have to see if I have enough money saved or not when he releases their prices.

 

I'd asked him a few weeks ago and he said prices would be the same as the last preorder from Feb-March, if that helps!

 

Oh I thought he had said he’d have to charge more for Morae because she comes with the extra hands and feet? Hmmm… guess we’ll find out soon, either way.

 

Oh, my bad, I asked about Maji, didn't occur to me at all that other options in the preorder might have different prices ignore me then!

 

I hope to get a Morae and if I can manage it I want a Maji too. We will see. I have been checking every day for the pre-order info.

 

I was just talking to him over on IG, and he’s out shopping for snacks to pack in with the dolls he’s shipping out on the 16th, as I type this!

 

I haven’t received one either. I guess he doesn’t have the faceups back yet

 

My Geurim came in the mail today! I was so excited that I gave her a faceup right away. I’m so happy with her!

@dxgirly I already saw your Geurim in your Instagram and she's really beautiful! I love this darker style clothes and face up on her.

 

Can anyone with experience tell me how Haru's layaway works? I understand the process of the invoices etc, but is it 3 payments (One at the start, then two more each month after.) or is it 2 payments (One the first month and the other the month after). The wording makes it hard for me to make out and the price divided by 3 or divided by 2 per month would make a difference to me affordability wise.

I'd love a Maji! I love thicker hips and thighs!!

 

It’s one payment up front, and the other half due when the doll is ready to ship out to you.

 

Hi all! i don't mean to rant here but ...

I've had enough saved up for a Maji and just waiting for the pre-order to open. But covid's making it hard again. and after a week, we're gonna be in a lockdown again. which means, no work no pay. and even though i have saved up for Maji, i suddenly feel selfish for using that money for Maji. i used to have emergency funds, but last year's lockdown drained my savings away. so i have two options:

1. is to pass this pre-order and wait for Haru to open one for Maji again next year or

2. opt for a layaway. pay half upfront. work sidelines in the meantime to come up with additional funds, and then pay the rest when the doll's ready

so what do you guys think?

 

I would personally opt for layaway, but I have a hard time saying no to myself. Next year is a long time to wait, though, and who knows what part of the year it will be in.

I think you should get her, but maybe someone who isn’t a total Harucasting enabler should weigh in.

Oh forgot I came here to post a group pic of all my Harucasting MSDs. I’ll be ordering Morae next month during her preorder, and Wind when she ends up being available, as well. Still unsure on the boys. We’ll see. The only thing stopping me from wanting them is the general lack of slim-mini male clothing options. How do you guys get around that?

Allow me to take the other position… since COVID has been an unpredictable event since the beginning, I’d opt to wait to order. You said your savings is pretty much gone, I’d try and build that back up before spending on a doll. But that’s just me. Ultimately it’s up to you to decide how to spend your money. Hopefully this lockdown won’t last too long!
