Haru Casting Mini Dolls - Part 2

Hi @pinkandyellow, the web site is working. Just click on menu etc. Haru Casting announces pre-orders on his Instagram and you order by E-mailing him. When you have questions about a pre-order just ask him on Instagram, he is really quick with answering. I am not sure how often he schedules a pre-order, maybe some else can tell us?

 

@pinkandyellow he has preorder periods 2-3 times a year, and only certain dolls each time. There was a preorder in April for the MSDs and Somsatang. There will be a preorder in August for some (?) of his yo-SDs, and a preorder around November for some yet unreleased MSDs he’s been working on.

He posts all of the preorder dates and info on his Instagram, along with a form you need to fill out an email to him during the preorder period, then after a few days he emails you back, and you pay through PayPal.

He also requires you to kind of have an online presence and feedback, in order to buy one

Haven’t had trouble dressing him without removing his hands. But yes, they are strung unbelievably thight and from what I hear that is the rule of thumb. Idk how he even does that

I finally got around to finishing my Joa. Its been so increadibly busy working during covid (healthcare..) that I hace now a whole shelf of dolls that need faceups and dressups.
But meet my Joa. i named her Priya.

 

Haru just posted an update on the April preorders in his story. He’s currently assembling the dolls, and is shooting to get the blank dolls out by Friday. Said he’d send emails to everyone that ordered a doll without a faceup on Tuesday!

My girls arrived a few days ago! I love them so much already.

After reading entirely through both of the Harucasting discussion threads, I was kind of concerned about how tightly they would come strung, and worried I wouldn’t be able to easily get their heads off to do faceups, because everyone kept saying the dolls came strung ridiculously tight. But they came in, and they’re not, like at all? Like I’m able to pull apart their pieces and see a good amount of their strings, and removing heads and feet has been super duper easy. I guess maybe he listened to people’s criticisms about that?

anyways, I adore them, and can’t wait for the E-Minor I bought secondhand to clear customs and come home, so their friend group can be complete.

 

Can anyone tell me or show me how Neuls stringing works? When my Neul arrived he was really sturdy but i had to take him apart for blushing and coating and now i can't figure it out. I am used to the single string down the leg that Volks has and the strings in Neuls legs were doubled up if i am correct.

I sanded his nose, chin and earlobes made creases in his eyelids and opened his eyes. All to make him look more like my son (yes his wig is ginormous but a new one is in the making this is just one that i had lying around that resembled my kid the most)

@Singull not yet! Poor thing has been stuck in Chicago customs since August 2nd! Sunday will be 6 weeks there. She made it through Canada to the US in 2 days, but now is just not doing anything.

Apparently this a common problem in ISC Chicago from other people’s complaints, so I’m trying super hard to be patient and not assume she’s lost or stolen. It’s hard.

 

Do any of you who have Maji also have Adori and/or (little) Geuru? I want to get one of them since this will be their last preorder but I’m trying to decide who looks more like Maji’s little sister. If anyone could show them with Maji I’d really appreciate it!

 

Thanks! Yeah I’ve been surfing both those tags, it’s so hard to choose cause they’re both so stinkin’ cute with those smiley faces. I’m kinda leaning toward Adori cause that grin is so mischievous and my Maji has such an attitude that it would be funny to have them together

I've been looking at Modeun too, he looked really nice in photo of him and E-Minor together. I already have my E-Minor and she would definitely need a companion.

 

Modeun looks so cute. I'd like to get a Modeun in the future! The vitiligo E-Minors for the current pre-order really nice too.

 

I’m very impatiently waiting for Geurim and Morae. Especially the latter.

 

Haha! I feel the exact same way; I’ve been watching Haru work on Geurim and am just hoping it’ll be a while until he opens up the preorder. Once the preorder is open I will more than likely have to make some tough calls

 

I’m honestly kinda hoping after Christmas, at this point, because I don’t know if I can swing even a layaway down payment in December, while also trying to buy Christmas presents for my loved ones.

Idk, maybe I’ll start DoorDashing or something to make some extra side money in my downtime.

 

I was on the fence about Geurim until I saw her with a faceup. Now I’m pretty much doomed. I doubt I’ll be able to swing her on her first preorder, so I guess it’s time to start saving for the second round whenever that might be

 

I’m doomed re: most of Haru’s dolls, lmao. I’m currently paying off two tinies (Geuru and Adori) and just started a layaway for Vitiligo E-minor... but I also really want Modeun and Morse trying so hard not to give in to Geurim too but I might as well stop fighting it lmao. I love that Morae wears heels ♥️

He got the heads back from mayakdolls and hell, geurim looks so cute. I was convinced I wasn’t going to get her this time but it looks like I am going for a couple again

 

Ducky is so cute!! I’m making eyes tonight and Big Geuru is supervising. Lol I need to get a Flickr so I can post pics. I’ve been in the hobby a while but have been more active on Instagram, not DOA.

 

@reeology I made my Flickr solely to post pics here on DOA. It’s much quieter over here than on Instagram. Which can be both a good and a bad thing.

 

Quick question, does any body else have barely any dent in the head for the S hook to sit in? My E-minor's is so slight I could look at her too hard and it'd pop out...

 

In case you guys didn’t see on Haru’s story on Instagram, the next preorder for his MSD sized dolls will be February 15th-March 15th, for Joa, Neul, Geurim, and Modeun.

I’m so excited to add a Guerim to my collection I think I’m going to get her in Maji Dark Tan resin.

 

@toratsubasa I've not had any problem with that but if you have a small file you can make a bit of a dent in it. That's what I would do. I've done so with my other brand dolls which didn't even have a slot to pull the s-hook trough their heads.

Oh it's official now? I need Modeun in my gang, he would be great match to my E-Minor. I'm also thinking about maybe getting Geurim too. A bit newer photo, from last Autumn anyway... Eiko, my sweetheart. I've changed her eyes to 12mm with small iris after this shoot.



I only realised afterwards that there seems to be a tree growing from her head but oh wells, at least she is super pretty!

I’m hoping to get a Geurim this round, too. I’m turning 40 in June so she’ll be my big gift to myself. She’s absolutely darling with the freckled faceup and I can’t say no

 

I love Haru's dolls! I am obsessing tho about that one switcharoo of Modeun on Gerurim's body, but I'm not sure I can buy two new dolls just to do that but I like Modeun sculpt anyway, so I might cave in this preorder, who knows!

Also Nori........ I've been waiting so long!! I am super excited about a well proportioned non childish looking 1/6, there are so realistic and stylish many accessories and clothes for that size

 

Just popping in to appreciate all of these doll pictures! I really, really want a big Geuru someday, I wonder if that will be possible this year...

 

How much do Haru’s MSD dolls usually cost? I would love to pre-order Geurim but I have to see how much she is

 

@cherryblossoms I ordered E-Minor in Maji Mild Tan and she was 535 including shipping (which back then was $40). I presume there will be an increase for the shipping cost and I'm prepared for it already. This time I'm going to order a face up too.

 

@cherryblossoms Here's the page for Joa, it's not linked from Haru's home page but it's still up. Her pricing is at the bottom of the page. I expect Geurim to be very similar.

I just saw the Pre-order at work so I'm now making one for Modeun. I'd really want to have a Geurim too, but even more I need to keep the plan of getting only a boy doll this time. I just asked about the basic face up if it's shown somewhere. I think Haru has at least two different faces for Modeun and I want to know which is the basic.

 

I sent in my order form for a Guerim! I’m so excited!!

 

I am really hoping I can get the funds together for Geurim - thankfully we can at least do a two part layaway plan, though ^^; So I think I will be able to get her... choosing which resin color is really difficult though! I am thinking maybe Joa basic normal?

The price list is up now on Haru's weebly website! Shipping has gone up a lot from last time though. He's quoted me $78 for a single doll/$120 for a pair (though I think he is doing a shipping promo now for if you get one of the valentine day couples? which I believe is free?). He will be charging shipping at the end though, in hopes it goes back to normal pricing in a new months.

 

I'm having trouble figuring out what skin tone matches what options are listed on the product pages! Does anyone have a suggestion for where to find a labeled list next to an image of the colors?

I want to be really picky

@maxxxamillion if he has them all in one pic, I’m not aware of it, but this post it has a lot of the colors, but also includes some no longer available due to him changing the pigment he’s using, so that his dolls don’t discolor so much in sunlight. You can see which colors he’s still offering on the pricing tables on his website.

Does anyone here have a normal peach doll from Haru and Fairyland + Supia normal skins they could do a comparison with?

I’m just trying to see how it looks next to these other doll brands for the sake of soothing my obsessiveness about similar toned resins in my MSD. And what’s been everyone’s experience with yellowing? I’ve seen some wild uneven tone resin from Haru that is making me apprehensive about ordering. I know he said he’s improving the formula, but I like to know how volatile resin is after being spoiled by Volks.

On top of the price shown, remember to consider international shipping if you are not in Korea. It was about $50 additional for me in the US, back in 2019. Prices are almost certain to have gone up since then.

 

Haru makes me mad I want them all lol. Thinking to order Joa but still debating which color to choose.. Always so hard to decide between all available skin colors

Thanks for the comparison. This helps a lot. It won’t work for a hybrid as I had hoped. But it’s nice to see how it looks against the other girls.

 

Hi quick question. This is my first preorder with harucasting and I wanted to ask. I just need someone to calm my nerves. Are preorders usually required as friends and family?

 

Haru does always ask that you send friends and family. I know it is generally a big risk to do that, but I can personally vouch that I’ve had no problems dealing with Haru. I’ve never heard of anyone else having trouble with an order with him either. If you still feel unsure, message him about it. He may ask that you pay the PayPal fees if you don’t want to do F&F. I wanted to do it that way for my Maji order, so I understand where you’re coming from. In the end I did do F&F though, and like I said everything went smoothly

 

I went ahead and did it through friends and family. I'm not really worried about it anymore. I fully trust Haru since I have no reason not to. But I wanted to thank you for your reply. It helps knowing I'm not the only one who felt that way at first. My nerves quickly turned into excitement lol.
