Psiiconic, if you scroll back and look at the pics of my Adori, he's in the Volks Normal, if that helps make your decision. (Page 10 - though the lighting may not help much. I think others also have that color resin, maybe Hasel's Adori?) I really am torn. I wanted a dark skinned little girl, but said I wouldn't buy any more dolls in 2016! I'm so glad we have a month to think about it.
I'm just eyeballing my moist beige boy and looking at the photo and it looks as if the beige isn't so much darker or lighter as it is warmer, more of a pink/red tone to it?
Just one more question (I hope)....we can order the human smiling face in the elf fantasy colors, correct? (And thanks phanuel for your opinion on the colors!)
From what I gather, all colours listed are available for both human and elf versions. But if you are uncertain, you could contact Haru directly to confirm
Ah I'm lost with all these lovely color ! I wish I could order one of each but obviously, I have to be a bit reasonnable ! Is there a great difference between moist and normal resin ? Moist apricot and moist beige seem to be very cute colors, but I love also the opaque tan ones, milky and light tan. I hesitate between them.
So Haru has posted comparison pictures of his moist apricot, beige, chocolate and fancy brown colours Adori shade comparison photos! Ugh... I want to grab them all
It took a while, but I found a photo of Light tan. It's the second color from the top in the lineup. New tan shade, Cacao tan. by Haru casting, on Flickr
I was all set to order adori in the black pearl color, but then they dropped these fantasy colors on us! I am such a sucker for pink...
Thanks so much! I have 12 tabs open each with at least one, but usually more, colors open on my computer. This was the only one I somehow could not find!
Have you decided which colour resin youre going with ? ( Im assuming you are ordering this order period lol) And my Kiki ( Moist chocolatte V2 girl Adori) should be home next week - Im looking forward to having her home. Ive really missed her
All I can say is I had no idea how indecisive I am. Apparently more than 5 choices sends me into a tailspin. I *think* I am getting milky tan. I have changed my mind so many times All the owner photos here only make me want more colors, lol.
It IS kind of crazy trying to track down all the colors! And yes, all the wonderful choices! I narrowed it down to five....then finally took the plunge and ordered smiling elf in leaf green. If he offers the elves again, I am going to go for Jade. And then grey, cream brown, and black pearl.
I know! I was planning to order my girl in milky tan...then in soft tan...and most recently in the cacao tan! Then the leaf green really appealed to me - I do love the fantasy colors in doll lines! I still can't commit to anything. My spouse is baffled that I want the same doll, just with a new skin color, and suggested that I really ought to just wait until Adori's sisters are immortalized in doll form before I buy another. I see the wisdom of that, but then I see those pictures of those sweet little faces, and I just want all of them in every color. I'm so glad that this is such a long order period.
I ordered smiling adori in fantasy cream brown. I appreciated how helpful they were with my questions and posting a comparison of moist beige and cream brown as I couldn't decide between the two. Does everyone do their own faceups or send them out? I'm tempted to try my own again but will need new supplies. I have a problem with faceups rubbing off as I handle my bjds tons for clothes fitting and photos and if I do it my self I can spray more coats of sealer and hopefully the faceup will last longer than a few days which has happened on my latest ones I sent out.
It's been a while for me too, but I am planning to do my little boys' faceups myself. My chosen artist is backed up a bit, and I'm out of money anyway.
I plan on doing my own for now. I am not great at them, but I find I tend to enjoy my dolls in a more comfortable way if I paint them. If anyone else is looking for an example of light tan in the Adori, this picture is from Haru Castings Flickr account and is light tan. I have a really hard time imagining how things will look, so any Adoris I find in a stated color are helpful, lol. You'd think I was making a decision that affected millions with the thought I'm putting into this!
Hello everyone ! I ordered Adori , Woohoo! ! I'm so excited , this is my first YoSD size doll . Oh my , the decision was difficult , I broke my head with this : ))) finally chose: human regular head in milky tan !!!!
I've ordered too! I'm getting a smiling elf Adori in peach normal. I'm excited about getting him. I missed out on the first pre-order because it was right after Christmas. I'm so glad I did miss that one though because now there's an elf option, and since the character is an elf, it saves me some mod work!
Its amazing how much diversity there can be for just one doll by offering ALL the skin tones. I decided on smiling head in the fantasy pink color. All the tan colors are so pretty though, I cant wait to see everyones different choices.
Well, the decision was painful, but I finally ordered my regular head Adori! I tossed all my plans out the window and ordered moist beige. I have tan dolls and normal skin dolls, so I thought this might be a fun color in between. With unlimited funds, I'd have ordered at least three colors. Hopefully, i'll hear from Haru tomorrow to pay. Then the wait begins. Thanks for posting all your dolls! Edit: Can't believe it, but I have already heard back from them. All of their answers on Tumblr have been this quick, but I wasn't expecting that with the time difference.
I'm tempted to get another doll just so I can have another little I Love Mom hand necklace in a third color. I wear mine all the time alternating between the brown and the clear-glitter.
I'm really hoping I get a check for selling my truck in time to get in on this pre-order, I have my eye on an elf one in that fantasy cream brown and an elf black pearl, they're just so cute, I need an entire rainbow of Adoris
I really want a smiling Adori girl, too. Thanks for the long order period I will most likely be able to order her next month ^___^.
Hey guys - I have a question. When I tried ordering, they wanted me to pay as a friend through PayPal. Did any of you have to do that? It seems shady, and I'm not sure I want to send them almost $400 USD with no protection.
They're a reputable company who does a lot of business. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem saving them a few dollars by paying as a friend.
I did. It's a small nuisance (I don't know if he realizes that just means WE pay the fees), and it doesn't seem like he's going to run away with our money any time soon.
Did they state, that they want to get the payment as a friend? I though, that they simply did no longer send invoices. I have paid not as a friend, but using the second option (the one with a protection), but it was only for shipping. As much as I could tell, he told me shipping + PP fees. It would be better if Harucasting said clearly such things, though.
I see... Well I hope nothing bad will happen to his PP account, then. Haru does look trustworthy, and has, probably, his reasons for doing this.
Yes, he's made and shipped out many, many dolls, so I'm not worried about not getting the doll. ^_^ It's just that we (in the USA) pay the fees then, and get no coverage through PayPal if anything does happen.
Maybe someone should suggest that he just ask for the paypal fees up front so his customers can use the safer, correct payment method?
This is very strange. I just went back and reviewed all of my Paypal transactions to him, and he never asked for the Friend option on those. I agree, someone should talk to him about this -- but who? I know I'd gladly pay a bit more for my Adori if he needs to charge more to cover the fees!
He asked me to pay with the Friend option. I didn't mind since he does SO much successful business casting for artists. I usually wouldn't, though.
This is my second time ordering from Haru and he also asked me to pay as a friend. I didn't mind either. There is no option to order just a body in the 2nd preorder so I asked and he did let me order it by itself. So I am not worry about not getting my doll or losing my money.
My moist chocolatte girl Adori - Kiki came home from the face-up artist this week. Kiki by Sue, on Flickr
@hyssop thank you so much. Her shoes are from nine9style. Kiki says 'Hi Haru, Im home' by Sue, on Flickr
@samson Your little girl is so cute ^___^. There is one thing that confuses me a little bit, how light or how dark is her skin tone? On the first picture it looked like quite dark, while on the second one it seems like only a medium tan. Which one of the two pictures is more true to life?
@samson Love your girl and her hair is great! I got a wig with side ponytails for my smiling Adori but I thought it looked too poofy--unlike yours--so I took the elastics out and now it suits her much better. Rabbit by Nadine, on Flickr
That looks great! I love seeing all the different wigs. Haru keeps posting more photos of the little elves. Man, I wish I could get one in every color! Each one is so cute.
Since Rabbit's teeth are removable I decided to see what she'd look like without them and ended up making her a tongue. Go away! by Nadine, on Flickr
I took some eye putty and kneaded in a little pink eye shadow, the shape pretty much formed itself! Not really meant to be permanent but easily replaceable. Thanks! I don't know, I think Haru could come up with it himself if he wanted to. I'm going to go look for a little toy lollipop, I believe I have one somewhere.
aww she looks so cute - i styled Kikis wig lwith the bunches like that , its just a regular bobbed style from Kemper (Really cheap lol) Rabbit is such a cheeky young lady Heres Kiki's hair down New accessories for Kiki by Sue, on Flickr
Her hair looks good down too, I love bobs, I have a flickr group devoted to them! Such a cute outfit, great shoes.
