Thanks! It is the name of a friend I had back in elementary school that the Adori sculpt reminds me of. I got her in Milky tan. It was hard to choose the color but I wanted something that wouldn't wash out in photos and also wasn't too shiny and this tan is a bit more matte than some of the others.
Oh that's cute, naming your dolls after an old friend. It certainly is a beautiful color and it doesn't look shiny! I also had a hard time choosing a color, I changed my mind many times...I don't even remember what I chose lol
Ah I'm so sad! I missed the postman today and my adori had arrived. Have to pick them up tomorrow at the post office.
She is so cute! I love the name as well! I ordered through Flickr as well. Are the Adori's wearing a size 6-7 wig? I hope so!
Kimi is wearing a 5/6 wig. Haru Casting said the Adoris fit 5/6 wigs and 12 mm eyes that are low or no dome. Unfortunately, I haven't purchased eyes for her yet as none of the places I looked online indicate the dome height. If anyone has suggestions for how to find eyes for her, I would really appreciate it.
My Adori wears a 6/7 wig and eyes from Safrin doll. They sell low dome urethane eyes, they are also reasonably priced !
Adori is so precious he's the only YoSD I've ever wanted... And Harucasting is such a wonderful company I want to support them!
Fortunately, I have both 5-6 and 6-7 wigs. I even have a pair of 12mm eyes (I rarely sell my wigs/eyes). Since my Adori got out of customs, I am hoping for delivery tomorrow
My Adori is still in Sw. Yeongtong. I have a formydoll 6-7 wig for her and 12mm eyes from Mehi Art (those are low dome). Her other head will be getting 12mm mako eyes (also low dome). ^.^
My Adori came today! She is wearing borrowed eyes and doesn't have a name or a faceup, but I just love her! It is fun to see the Adoris rolling in! Adori is here! by Kristin, on Flickr
Thanks for the info about the wig size! In the first post of this thread it calls for a 6-7" wig so I ordered that size for my Adori. It arrived today and it fits my slim MSDs but it's too big for two of my YoSD dolls. For those who are using a 6-7" wig - are they on the small size or not very stretchy? The 5-6" I bought is shown on a Littlefee on the Oobiedoll website. Does anyone have a Littlefee that they can compare with their Adori? Do they wear the same size wig? Thank you so much!
The wig on my Adori above is a 6-7 Kemper and it fits well. I just tried an FMD 5/6 and a Luts 5/6 and they were definitely not big enough. A true 6 might fit.
I found the 6-7 is roomy, but the 5-6 was too small. So, I will get my Adori a wig cap to keep the wig in place. Someone got to go to work with me
Jaybirdfinnigan, I love the rainbow sweater that your Adori is wearing. It's adorable and fits her smile! Did you make it yourself? CathyM - did your Adori behave at work? He looks a bit mischievous! Thank you all for the wig information. I think the 6-7" wig that I bought must be super sized because it fits my SD DZ Minas the best! It was still loose on my MSD size dolls so I tried it on my smaller SD heads. No wonder it drowned my YoSDs. I think I'd be safe ordering a 5-6 in the same style.
Thank you very much! I did make it myself. It used to belong to my Littlefee, but I think it belongs to Adori now! Good luck with the wig. Wigs and eyes - always such a struggle!
I don't know how people can knit such small things! I've seen the tiny needles used and am truly amazed by the tiny creations. Yes, I think the rainbow belongs to Adori!
If a 6-7 is a little too big, you can also try pinning in it in the back with a small safety pin or sewing it smaller. If the wig is way too big, you end up with a bobble head though. Some of my yo's wear 7-8 like that.
Thanks! I went to the Fabric and friends trunk show yesterday and was able to try all kinds of wigs on a YoSD similar in size to Adori. The 6 - 6.5 - and 7''s (Luts, Leeke, Monique Gold, For My Doll) all fit her much better than the black bob wig that I bought from Oobiedoll in the 6-7" size. I think it must be super generous and stretchy compared to other 6-7s. But I love it on my SD doll and will keep it for her. And I think I'll reorder another one in 5-6 for Adori because I couldn't find another short black one for her at fabric and friends. Shirelae, pinning it is a great idea but this one is so big that I'd would leave a noticeable pucker on this wig. The back of the cap falls to my dolls shoulders! But I'm sure I can use the idea for other wigs. Thank you so much!
Hello Adori Moms and Dads! If you will be attending Resin Rose BJD EXPO in two weeks and will be bringing along your Adori: We're trying to get a head count on those who own a Haru Casting Adori and will be both ATTENDING and BRINGING the doll with them! We'd like to get a photo shoot with all the attending Adori! If you're coming and also bringing along Adori please PM me!
Thats a little bit to far away for me... with the whole atlantic ocean and such But I did come here to show off Iseul Adori and Iseul by Hasel-Anne van Stormbroek, on Flickr I'm very, very much in love with her XD And can't wait to paint all the other Adori's that came in the same package
Hi everyone! I just found this Adori thread the day after my Adori head arrived! Addiena, Addi for short, is in Volks normal as I knew she'd have to share an ns littlefee body for a while. She's playing around, trying to find her style, while I try to get up the guts to try my first faceup. It's still too cold here though to do more than think about it for now. :O
Thanks @samson And I'll probably 'spam' this thread in the upcomming week with a lot of different Adori's. I just finished my first commission for Haru, a Candy Adori Candy Adori by Hasel-Anne van Stormbroek, on Flickr
To be honest I'm not sure, they have so many different colors but I thought it was one of the moist brown, but if you want to know for sure I'd advice you to ask them directly
thanks Hasel, im not that worried about it to be honest - just curious. Im waiting on a moist chocolatte girl and wondered if that was the same resin. Its a pretty shade whatever colour it is
These Adori's are killing me.. I just found the group on Flickr too so yeah! I hope as rumored by the note on Flickr that there potentially will be another pre-order in June. In the meantime...I am loving all the sweetness.
Here's another one ^^ This time very natural, and freckly I just love to do freckly face-ups! Smiling Adori by Hasel-Anne van Stormbroek, on Flickr Smiling Adori in one of their moist colors, it's a really lovely normal pink color
I'm planning on ordering one soon... though there's so many great choices for resin color, I'm having trouble picking one. Is Iseul the soft tan? (I'm already planning face ups etc. I think an ichimatsu doll might be my inspiration... no matter which resin I end up picking... I want ALL THE COLORS.... )
@samson No Iseul (light pinkish brown hair) is Moist chocolate and the Candy Adori (Purple hair candy on cheek) is cacao tan Cacao tan is definetly darker and doesn't has the slight translucency the moist brown color has. Edit: I was talking to Haru, and the Moist chocolate is compareble to the soft tan (only is moist brown a bit translucent and soft tan opague) and moist brown is a tad darker then moist chocolate.
The final wave are almost ready! Tumblr post here. A few people have spotted theirs, I can't tell - mine was V2 boy in soft tan. Possibly the one in the bottom right, barely in the picture. Soon!
I think Ive spotted mine - or an order similar to mine lol And Haru has posted WIP pics of Nanni Adori's sister, Nanni. Some spam too A falling out by Sue, on Flickr EDIT: just received tracking number for my little girl !!!!
I've just got the tracking number too! Got eyes ready, think I'll wait until I see how the skin looks in person before I pick out a wig. As soon as he's in the house he's going back out for a face up anyway. And Nanni is just as cute.
I'm so excited to see everyone's new adoris from this last shipment. I nabbed mine a secondhand body so hopefully I'll have pictures soon once I finish sewing the outfit. 3
I spotted mine : ) the 4th one from the first row. Form the other photo, mine is one of the two big boxes as I'm waiting for two. I wonder which one it is, if the one with the paper on top or on the side (I'm looking at this photo: Haru resin casting — All packed! Today, we will be letting all of you... ) I will know this week. Yay!! Congrats to everyone! I can't wait to receive mine even though they will be going back to their boxes because I can't give them a face up yet. There is a baby in the house and I don't want any chemical residue, no matter how small it is, in the house. I don't know when I will be able to work on my dolls again but I'm happy they're finally coming home.
Received my two Adoris today! Surprise! I didn't get a tracking number after I sent the shipping fee so I didn't realize they were coming so soon. I got the "moist" skin and it is lovely. Also included were the "I love Mom" hands, lots of edible goodies and two little hands on cords, one made of shiny brown plastic and one of clear glittery plastic. I don't know if they're for me or the dolls but I'm going to wear them anyway.
Okay, this is the boy with regular head in Moist Normal Beige and the girl with the smiling head in Moist Normal Apricot. They're wearing EyeCo. Platinum Soft Glass eyes in 11mm size. The wig on the left is Dollmore 6-7 size and the pink wig I believe is LeekeWorld also 6-7 size. Monique 6-7 size also fits. They are all worn over wig caps. The clothes and shoes are random Yo-SD-size. You can also see the "I love Mom" hand necklaces (?). They each also came with a resin "I love Mom" hand. IMG_8958 by Nadine, on Flickr
They're so cute! I haven't been able to figure out who the hand is for, but it's neat anyway. My Adori is stuck in customs - I'm waiting for him to be processed and them tell me how much they want.
Oh they are adorable ! I'm waiting on a moist chocolatte regular head girl and like @IndigoAndAsh mine is stuck in customs . I love the little guys outfit especially his trousers - too cute !
The hands are a part of Harucasting's certificate and are meant to be a pendant for Adori mommies and daddies like shown here . The moist colors look wonderfully. Also, Haru has shown Nanni's left hand in his instagram blog. Can't wait to see the body!
Yayyy!!! I have my new moist chocolatte Adori home !!! But no time to take pics. She arrived today on my daughter's birthday and the same daughter is planning to move to her own flat on Monday so there's lots to do and no time for dolls Will take photos when I can ! Edit: Managed to nab a photo Sophie took in the car New Adori in moist chocolate resin by Sue, on Flickr
Finally got notice my Adori has been released from customs - he was there over a week so I dropped Parcel Force a note. Now to wait for the customs letter. I've seen comments that Adori runs slightly smaller than a 6-7 wig - how are you all finding wig sizing to be?
@IndigoAndAsh not sure what your local parcel force sorting office is like but where I am (Chelmsford is my pf sorting office) I can ring them up and pay the charge over the phone. You have to make sure you actually speak to someone rather than any of the automated options. My two both wear 6/7 with no problem - I don't think they look too big and they fit fine
Were you able to do that before you had the card for the charges? The problem right now is I don't know who has the parcel, or how much they want me to pay. Last time it took a couple of days from them releasing my parcel to me getting the letter.
As long as the tracking shows your parcel is at the depot and awaiting custom charge payment, I just give them the tracking number and they give me the amount to pay. Or I drive the 10miles there and pay in person, taking my new dolly parcel home with me . With my new Adori, for example, she arrived on my daughter's birthday and we were on our way to my brothers and happened to pass the PF depot and just paid and picked her up en route.
Just hopping in to drop a photo's of Adori and Iseul's adventure in Scotland They were so much fun to take with me! Going on an adventure by Hasel-Anne van Stormbroek, on Flickr (more photo's of the adventure in my Flickr in you're interested)
