Haru Casting Adori Discussion

I’m finally pulling my Geuru together from the last preorder. After seeing Black Panther I think I’ve settled on Nakia for her name and she just got some completely adorable clothes in from icantdance. I still need to send her out for a faceup but I’m kind of unsettled on whether I want her to have a more fantasy look or go with something natural.

 

I'm pretty sure my girl will be named Suri. I don't have any specific plans for her though I've tried to find clothing that 'calls to me' (I can make my own but I always like to start a doll off with one or to things bought just for them) but nothing is grabbing my attention.

 

My Geuru is going to be a mini me and I'm calling her AlsomeBJD. I'm collecting miniature versions of important items in my life. She has a few outfits and I will make her a custom wig when she arrives.

The Adoris I'm getting are going to be styled after Korean boyband IMFACT.

 

SO many cute ideas you guys. I can't wait to see everyone. Haru said shipping would start later this month right?

I also ordered a Geuru when Haru opened preorders and am still thinking how to name her~

Right now I'm leaning towars Hanami - in which case she'll get a cherry blossom hairclip as her key-accessoire, but we'll see what her name is, once she's home ♥

 

@AdanneO Thanks! Lord. that means I have probably 3 dolls turning up over the next month.

@Anemone That's so cute! and matches your avatar. ^^ I honestly think Geuru is the cutest of Haru's dolls in a traditional sense. I was strongly tempted by her but was swayed by Adori's little trouble-maker face.

 

That's exactly the reason why I picked Geuru >///< ♥ I really liked Adori & Nanni, but the moment Haru showed the first picture of Geurus face I knew I had to have her ♥ I completely missed the last preorder since I was pretty broke at that time, but this time I ordered her as soon as Haru opened orders xD" And to be honest she may even get a twinsister somewhere in the future x/D

I haven't got my shipping notice yet but I am hoping it will be any day now.

Heres Lesedi! The wig isnt permanent, I think im just gonna try flocking her head. But the ebony skin is so beautiful.

 

I checked this morning and Adori was in customs in Los Angeles. Hopefully she will be here in the next couple of days!

I finally got my Geuru painted (by the ultra talented Vitta Vera) and squee, Squee, SQUEE! She's so cute! It's late, and I'm supposed to be getting ready for bed because tomorrow is going to be brutal at the office, not bouncing around excited over how pretty my doll is, but Squee!

I have just purchased an Adori elf on the secondary market here and she is adorable. She came blank and i have given her a face-up, but am still waiting for her wig to arrive. Such a cutie!

BTW Where do you find clothes for your dolls? I'm looking for something in the style of Foxybrown BJD clothes but her YOSD section is practically sold out

I often look at Haru casting Flickr and I wish I could get one of his dolls. Adori is my favorite!

 

I have used some yosd clothes that were made for Giggi - a Dumpling by Meadowdolls if that helps!

 

Are there measurements for the nanni body somewhere?

Can anyone who has a Geuru remember if there was a paper CoA with her? I am looking through my box for her and I still have everything down to the wrapping paper but no paper CoA and for the life of me I can’t remember if there ever was one.

 

I don't think there was one? I have my gal in storage right now but I packed her last week and IIRC she had the box, the paper wrapping inside and a Geuru sticker on the paper wrapping. She also came with the little screaming Nanni figure.

 

Yeah, I don’t believe there are CoA for Geuru. But we can keep hold of our Nanni figures and stickers for proof of authenticity.

@AaloriRian , My Adoris came with hand necklaces and a handwritten thank you note. My Nanni came with the little Nanni figure and a small piece of cardstock with "type: Nanni" and a number. But I think the necklaces and figures are the proofs of authenticity you need.

@Ban Sidhe , Maybe he only did that with the earlier ones. Since he doesn't include traditional CoAs, just save all the packaging.

 

I got 2 necklace hands and 2 tiny cards with both of my Adoris with the name and number. I believe that is the CoA for Adori.

 

Adori had a 'love mom' hand certificate. This is specifically Adori's certificate. For others, I think, Nanni figurine works as one.

Hana returned from her spa yesterday. She is so adorable

 

So adorable! I love her dress!

I'm still sorting through the shots of just Sophia (my Geuru), but I really like this one of her with her dad (LoongSoul MuXuan) Annoyingly, the wind was moving everything but the pinwheel she's holding, which would have been a really neat effect

Thank you! Her new shoes just came in today's mail (along with a bunch of other props) so weekend project is probably going to have to be some photos in the park
but until then, more pinwheel pictures

 

Wow! These are really cool. I adore the sparkly one but I love how the reddish one is so shiny. Great touch.
