Haru Casting Adori Discussion

De-lurking because I've finally decided that I need one of these cuties. ^^; Here's hoping my finances are in better shape for the next preorder, haha.

Does anyone have milky tan and moist beige adoris they would like to spam? I'd love some vicarious cuteness.

 

Haru says the last preorder should be shipping at the end of October. I would love for my girl to have a Halloween birthday.

Yay!!! I can't wait to get my Geuru! With a bit of luck, she will be here on time for my birthday (9th of Nov).

Yaaaaaay!!! I just got my tracking number for my Geuru!! I'm superexcited!!

I just realized that she probably doesn't come with eyes. Anyone have any recommendations for eyes?

Nothing here yet, but mine will have a faceup, so I imagine she'll be a couple more weeks at least.
I believe I used 12mm's in my Nanni because her eye opening was so small, but ideally I'd use a small iris 12mm instead. Geuru's eyes look like they're open a bit more, so I'm hoping standard 12mm's may work, or small iris 14mm's. The 10mm's I had didn't fill her eye socket enough for me. I use Safrindoll acrylics.

I ordered my first yosd from him as well! I ordered a vokls skin adori boy I can't wait to get him! I'm also getting the faceup from the Russian artist I wonder when he will come home

I asked Haru when my Geuru imght ship (Ordered Jul19) and he said next week!

Woooohooo great news! I ordered my blank Adori on the 16th July so really hope she ships next week too as she is going via the UK, so will take a bit longer to get here to Spain.

 

Hopefully Adori will speed to you as quickly as the last doll

Not me. He's been pretty quiet on IG this week but he did post a picture on Flickr last night of the little extra doll figures that he send with his dolls and some arm pieces. I'm thinking that's probably the last thing before he packs them up to send out.

He posted on IG/Flickr a picture of all the completed and strung dolls. I'm pretty sure I picked out my Geuru, I zoomed in the image and I'm like 95% sure I can see my name on the order sheet by her shoulder. I'm now obsessively checking my email for shipping notifications XD

Haru always sends me my shipping # through tumblr, even though all my other order and communication have been through email lol.

I got mine as well He's not attaching her head, since she has a faceup, and he was worried that I would have trouble doing that myself, so he's going to send me a video. Very sweet of him, I think.

 

Apparently, Harucasting has some spare dolls for sale. Seems like he cast more than was actually ordered so if you missed out on the preorder and like any of the ones on offer, now's your chance! The full list should be up on his Instagram.

I'd go for it myself but I still don't actually know what I want...

 

That's really cool that people can get a doll that way. Hope they all find good homes.

I got the Dimple Geuru on the Nanni body. She wasn't my first choice, but she looks so darn happy I couldn't resist. Maybe I'll be able to get in on the next order period and pick her up a twin or something...

Sadly, no. emeth_v beat me to that one Still, can't complain! Missed the pre-order, happy I could pick her up

 

Aw, congratz on Dimple Geuru! That smile is completely irresistible, isn't it? I may be indecisive about body types and resin colors, but that face is definitely on my list!

I'm so indecisive too. Too many choices just paralyses me. And then Haru goes and offers every single colour under the sun...
This was a completely binary choice - buy/don't buy - much easier! It helped that he had some pictures of R. Geuru in that particular colour. So I'm pretty confident I'll be happy with my "choice".
Now comes the real work, I have nothing in her size!

 

I’ve been keeping an eye on his Instagram, and I nearly cracked and bought the grey elf Adori from the set of offered “oops” dolls! I’m actually relieved that someone else beat me to him - I checked as soon as I woke up this morning, and he was sold. *whew!*

Haru will probably be getting some of my money in the next ordering period when he offers Maji for sale.

 

I completely forgot Veterans Day was this week, my PO lady said they’ll be closed Friday. My Geuru passed through ISC NY today at 3. NY is only 4 hours away from me. Fingers crossed she makes it for everyone tomorrow or we’ll be waiting until Monday

 

I got an updated delivery date for tomorrow for my Geuru. She cleared customs today at noon. I'm excited. I hope everyone has a speedy clearance as well.

 

Geuru is here! I have to go to work but I’m so glad she arrived before I left and got the dreaded pink slip!

 

Really looking forward to seeing all the new babies once they've arrived and settled in their new homes.
My Adori arrived today in the UK but I won't get to meet her until the 23rd when I visit the UK for the weekend and then bring her home with me to Spain! I'm looking forward to seeing her, my first Harucasting doll, but she'll have to travel back naked as I haven't made her anything yet....I thought I'd wait and try to gauge her personality!

 

New boy arrived today to go with the one who's been here awhile I need to find them both smaller wigs, though.

 

I just checked the tracking for my girl and she's on her way to Austria! Not good, not good! I live in Australia

Unfortunately, I don't think that's the case this time. There's a little button on the bottom of the Korean EMS tracking page that says "apply the email enquiry" and when I clicked on that it populated a form with the sender and addressee details.
Haru's going to call the EMS people for me on Monday & try and sort this out. So, not much to do now but wait I guess...

 

Try Facets by Marcia. They have smaller sized wigs in lots of brands and styles. Love your boys!

 

I actually have tried Monique wigs before (the brand that Facets by Marcia sells), all the wigs that are the right style are not available in black, though XD So it ended up not working out.

I just received my Adori yesterday and i named him “Lezhi 乐之” which means “Happy From Him ” in chinese.

 

Hi, Pittz...congrats on your new arrival. Great photos, but they should probably be in the box opening thread in the gallery. We're only supposed to have one picture per post here in Tinyland.

I was able to pick Geuru up from the post office today (she arrived while I was out of town). Experimenting with eyes and hair at the moment. I like the size of the eyes, but not really sold on the color (or the color of hair). She's beautiful, I just love this sculpt, and the color is just yummy.

Congrats on the new arrivals. I am now regretting not getting a faceup with mine because it’s so hard deciding what style to go with and I hate making wigs or buying things for my dolls before I have a concrete idea of what’s going to go with their faceup!

@eland i am so sorry to hear that! Hopefully they will be able to get her back to Haru and he can send her along to you. She will be truly well traveled when she finally arrives.
