Aaaaaand one more project journal! I need to keep my motivation on the very long tattooing work I'm having on my Dollstown J. That's why I'm opening this thread! Doloriel (Dollstown J on Switch 65cm body with Soom jointed hands) is meant to be an half angel in a steampunk world. I got in back in 2014, but I was very disapointed by his first faceup (made in mars or april 2014). I did it again in january 2015. He waits two years before I made his wig ( in november 2016). I began his tattoos one month later. And I still didn't finished them! I'm working with many reference of painter Chris Mars' work. What I'd like to do: Mods To Do: pentacle in the hand (made in november 2014) Aesthetics To Do: faceup (made in january 2015) manicure (to redo) tattoos ( in progress since december 2016) Crafting To Do: wig (made in november 2016) So, I have a lot of pictures to show, from 2014 to what I'm making now! His face-up : . . The pentacle in his hand before the manicure: . . His wig : . . And his tattoos in progress : Currently I'm working on his belly blush and his left arm tattoo. I hope Doloriel will be finished before this summer!
I always love your tattoos, but the face-up is my favourite in this case! Hope you can finally finish him
I love your work! So beautiful! Face up and tattoos are wonderful! How long have you been painting faceups and body tattoos?
Wow, your work is amazing! The tattoos are simply fabulous! I love the wig also. Can't wait to the "finished" doll (are we ever finished with them?).
Breath-taking. Your work is so incredible and I'm absolutely amazed at how much talented you are! Beautiful and mesmerizing in the best ways . I'll definitely stay tuned to see the final result.
Oh. Wow. That's like...really all I can say about this. You're a masterful artist...the tattoos are phenomenal. He's beautiful and I love the pentacle in his hand, but those tattoos are something else. You are so incredibly talented, and thank you for sharing your work here. Just wow.
Your artistry is .. I'm speechless. So creative and wonderful. I've seen a few of these images on Flickr, but it's great to see the journal progression. I really enjoy the rich colouring and expressive faces in the tattoos. They remind me of old folk fairytales. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your kind comment! I think this is my best face-up so far Thank you very much! He still is far from finished, but that's because I split my time between many dolls. Thank you! Oh my, I did my first tattoo and my first face-up back in 2008. Thank you very much! Well you're right, we never really finished them Thanks a lot! Thank you Thank you very much! Thanks! ♥ Thank you very much! Well, well, well... I though his tattoos would be finished before last summer but in fact they are far from done. I have painted his right arm but I still have the two forearms to paint. *sight* Maybe he will be done before summer 2018?
This is amazing! The level of detail you've put into them is crazy! I can't wait to see what else you do to him.
Thank you! Thanks! Sadly I didn't do anything since last year. I wonder when I will finish those tattoos! ******* I took pictures of his right shoulder some months ago. Here it is! I still have both forearms to do. Maybe I will find the will to paint them after the current tattoo I'm painting (an irezumi one for my oni geisha)
wow this is so amazing. I am totally blown away by the tattoos. also the faceup is amazing. it really looks like raised scaring.
