Thanks Risou and Kirika - My Sidonia's dress is one I made for my Dollmore Models to wear and it *almost* fits her - not perfect on the bodice but she will share what she can for now (or laze around naked) LOL!

I couldn't be more thrilled with this doll. I am watching to see what Granado does...and I have to say I really am tempted by Charles. I have no boys here at all but have just ordered my first, an Iplehouse male.

 

She looks so good in it, you'd never have known that the dress didn't actually fit. I'm surprised that a dress made for a DM Model girl even comes close to fitting, though! They seem like two completely different body builds.

Congrats on your first boy-doll order... They're so very addictive, it wont be long before you'll be ordering your next! And Charles is more than tempting~ He is Sin in resin form.

 

Thank you I've got something in my mind, nothing special for now, maybe I will sew for him. But I need to find wig for him now :p

I will posts photos for sure! And that's what I was thinking, that it's cheaper, so it's better to order body and head, and wait just once, not twice for my order.

Yeah, that right there is the other reason I try and order full dolls... It's bad enough waiting once - two wait times are beyond me! I like my boys to be complete as soon as utterly possible. Having floating heads around drives me batty. XD

I've started looking around for my Charles' wig, too (I think that I know which one I'll be getting for V-05 - I just have to wait for the shop to open again so I can order it!), but all I'm finding are wigs that I'd like to try on my incoming Xavier. At times like this I'm glad that it takes around seven to eight weeks to ship out a doll... I'll need the time to find what I'm looking for!

 

Yeah, those few weeks aren't too bad, at least we have some time to look for stuff (that we need to wait as well) for our boys. Can't wait to start looking for a wig, but i feel that shoes for my Charles are going to be pain for me. I don't even know were should I start looking for them, lol. Maybe I will just leave it for now :p

 

and Rinzer thinks Kaien could use a boot to the head! XD

Yes, Vee will be keeping the eyes and ears. I just need to change his clothes so he fits in. He is part of Rinzers story already. I actually started writing it and the two of them just met up.

As for Jade, I am going to do her nails and I want to pierce her ears. I was thinking about a tattoo but have not decided on what it will be.

 

How many of you were ordered Charles? He's in my cart but I want to wait til next year X3

Woot just sold another doll (well it's on layaway) which means I'll have enough to make a deposit for my Charles and V05 soon. *Dances*

 

That's a great news LuckyXIII! One more Charles with us, more resin to admire!

 

Geh... I hate shoe shopping. I love shopping for clothes and wigs, but shoes just aren't my thing - which is why there are barely enough shoes to go around amongst my boys! XD It's becoming a bit of a problem, since the number of feet that need to be shod keeps on growing. =.=" I'll have to start tacking on a pair or two of shoes with each new clothing order I do, I guess.

But shoeing Granado boys isn't hard at all - their feet are actually quite small and will fit into standard sd sized shoes. The only thing you will need to look out for is boots. Their calves are so huge, that unless the boot has laces up the front which can help adjust the size/fit, most boots wont close properly.

... The coffee I was about to swallow almost wound up spewed across my monitor when I read that.

It'll be fun to see how they turn out then! I've been wanting to give a couple of my boys pierced ears (I even have the tool for it), but I've always chickened out at the last moment. It just seems like such a delicate place to be drilling into - I'm afraid I'll snap the lobe of their ears right off! XP

Hurrays! Another pair of deliciously gorgeous men to join your crew. Let's see how they'll fit in amongst the maelstrom of egos you already have clashing about your place. ^^

Will you be getting him in time to pick up V-05 as well, or are you going to give V-05 a miss?

I was shuffling through my old photos of Ryusuke last night and came across a couple I had forgotten to post, so.... Ryu (Davon) spam ahoy!



The boy has gone through two more outfit sets since that blinding white configuration he was rocking initially... but he looked so good in it!

 

Ooh congrats to upcoming arrivals! I can't wait for my Christmas Granado body to get here.

Kirika, he looks good in whites! And try the ear piercing thing- it's not as hard as it looks if you go gently and use a steady hand.

Does anyone else ever do the thing where you just stare and stare at your doll, because you can't get over how gorgeous it is?

Yeah, I know he's mine, so not to brag but I cannot stop staring at Aiden.

 

I know how it is Rosslyn! I stare at my dolls all the time. That just shows how much they are loved and that they are not a waste of money at all. Even if you end up staring at them all the time when you should be working on something else!

 

Oh, yes! I like to dress my boys extravagantly, and pose them dynamically, so that they draw the eye even if you're just walking past their room. When I work at my computer and my mind drifts a little, I'll snap to attention only to realise that I've spent the last ten minutes idly admiring how gorgeous they all are! So very not productive. :3 (And frankly, if Aiden were in my home looking so darned yummy, that fae wouldn't be the only one making grabby-hands for him ^.^ )

And I do love my Ryu in his whites - although he looks just as good in earthy colours. The whites just make him 'pop'. It's a pity that they didn't fit him so well.

Which happens faaar too often for me... Gotta move my doll cabinets out of my study one day so I can actually get some work done at home! XD

 

Actually I was thinking about boots :p So good to know that i should be careful with buying them, thanks!

I thought I was staying away from the DoA board for a bit but kept thinking about VO-5 so broke down and placed the order. Joined the waiting list - seems as if I am always on that list - and decided to check out Granado discussion. Honestly, you miss a few days here and you have missed pages. This is a busy thread. That said: LyanneNZ - your photos of Sidonia are wonderful - love her dress and shoes too. Sigune, your photo of Florie and Lovell is adorable. You just want to hug them both. Invie, your Sidonia face-up is lovely. I have enjoyed working thru thepages I have missed over the last few days. Jo

May as well... Who knows, you may end up loving him, after all. I know that all Granado sculpts tend to look even more amazing in person than they do on the company site... Which always makes me excited, since I know that I will love them even more once they get home. XD

It pains me to have missed out on Titus as well. *sad face* He's so gorgeous... I should have at least found a way to pick up his head! Well, there's always a chance I will get him home one day.

 

i was kind of bummed about titus as well. He would have been perfect for one of my characters. What a beautiful mold.

Bringing back V-04, huh? Well, that's one Granado release that I wont be scrounging around to find money for, at least. ^^ My Tsubasa doesn't need a twin.

I think she is the same as 1st release but with new dress. Very cute!

 

She has such a traditional ABJD baby face; it's amazing how Crocus can do that style as well as the mature more realistic faces.

 

Love Charles!! I ordered him blank since I like doing my own faceups, but he's definitely going to have some lovely moles. Probably teeth, too. In fact, he's going to look a lot like their prince version but with darker lips and more detail.

 

Yeah, the sculpting is divine, but it's that blushing which really brings him to life. It looks like he'd be warm if you reached out and touched him!

I know! I'm always awed by Crocus' talent. There aren't a lot of artists out there who can handle such a large range in style with as much skill as he can.
Heheh... V-04's face is so much bigger than his other sculpts'. I have to be careful when photographing Tsubasa with my other Granado sculpts, lest he look too bobble-headed beside them.

And congratulations, StrangeFoxes! It'll be great to have another Charles floating around! XD I also asked for my Charles to come blank, since I have some different ideas for him. It'll be fun to see how you paint yours up.

I was so close to being done with my wishlist, too... but then charles came out and gave me more plans for dolls. lol

 

Haha! Isn't that always the case? Charles seems to have thrown more than a few peoples' plans awry. I'm really looking forward to seeing the sculpts released these last couple of months start to ship out. I've loved all of Crocus' sculpts, but these last few have really gotten me excited! I managed to get my shelving rearranged, so that my incoming boys will have somewhere to squeeze into. They're going to look so intense, all standing together.

Mayumi managed to find himself a spot where he could look dramatic to his heart's content.

 

Well, I did it! I just ordered my Charles in sunshine skin, plus a Guilium head in pink. that gave me enough to get the V-05 head almost free. Since I'm getting that in suntan, I have to pay I think the $70 to cover that. still.... *flails!*
I went with Guilium instead of Xavier since Xavier is basic but G is not. Don't want to miss him like I missed Titus.

My translation: "The weather is cold and my hands are all wet with clay so that kinda hurts, but it's a good pain- Good times." I know exactly what he means, Poor guy. Sculpting with wet clay or LaDoll is a pain when it's cold because your hands never get to be warm, and it makes the joints stiff and painful. He is hardcore. I work with a space heater in my studio to try to ease this kind of thing, or keep my little bowl of smoothing water hot on a candle warmer.

 

I'm liking what I see of the mini so far. Looks like he has a swimmers body?

 

Oh! Now that's what I've been waiting for. Finally, a peek at the torso! XD I like it. Actually, I want that kind of musculature on a larger body, as well. Nice to see how the mini body is progressing - and that Crocus is still managing to find the time to work on it amongst all of these new heads he is releasing. Thanks, Yufe!

Are you getting the free face-up for your Charles, or have you opted to do your own again? You were thinking of adding scars to yours, weren't you? And I must admit, I'm really interested in seeing what you do with Guilium... He was one of the few Granado sculpts that never really struck the right cord in me. I like him well enough in passing, but wasn't tempted to grab one of my own. I'm wondering if seeing what you do with him will change my mind?

No kidding! Who woulda figured a random junk pile could be of use? :3 Heh.

... My fingers are going numb just thinking about the combination of 'cold' and 'wet'. Geh. I'm never sure whether to admire or worry about how driven you creative types can get! Crocus has certainly managed to turn out a beautiful sculpt, even with aching fingers. As always, I'm impressed by the detail he can achieve with his work.

 

Can I ask for a request? I really love Charles.... does any have a photo of a Granado guy posing with an iple SID or EID woman? *pretty please with a on top*

 

Uh, it's more of a colour comparison (and they're both headless), but you can see a picture of a SID body and a Granado 64cm body in the Granado thread in the Picture Reference forum (5th post). It's a start, at least. Good luck in finding what you're looking for! Charles looks like he'd be a fantastic match to Iple girls. ^^

New V-04 pictures are released. She is superb. What can I say? Crocus is really talented. Chaka and Charles is totally difference from V-04. All his works are prefect.

These two boys were the start of my Granado obsession~ Kaien's been with me for just over a year now! And I would swear that I love him even more now than I did when I first fell (*hard*) for his sales pictures.

Crocus is still in the process of making the mini body, so it hasn't been updated on the Granado site yet. Most of the in-progress pictures are posted on their weibo - Yufe then re-posts them here for the rest of us to drool over. XD You can see the latest image of the body's torso on page 50, post 996. The only other images we've seen of this body have been of its legs though.

 

I know that Invie already answered your question, but actually I asked Granado about this and on the 25th of December it was 16, so after your order there's only 15 left. Maybe someone would like to know this And Sidonia was 17.

Ah, really?! Only 15 left, huh? ... I'd better really think about whether or not I want that second Davon then. I'd hate to finally decide that yes, I need myself a Dark Davon, only for him to sell out on me!
