They must have had such a hard time choosing--April, your Charles looks so regal--I'm glad you were able to get him all dolled up for the contest!

So many nice photos and outfits, I would love to see them all bigger!

 

Thought I'd de-lurk long enough to say congrats to winners and those that entered! There was some wonderful stuff there.

 

I just quickly checked the winning entries yesterday and had to grin at recognizing a lot from here
Also, I slightly pity Granado for having to make a choice :3
BUT I guess with that number of entries they at least know just how much beloved their dolls are!!!

The winner pics are really awesome. I also like the cyber/mecha-girl. That's definitly something else. And the first guy in the 'other entries' section has really awesome hair...

It was a hard choice, so many beautiful sculpts to pick from

[MENTION=65380]BlitheFool[/MENTION] - He's sunshine resin. ^_^ I have a thing for it, it seems. lol I got Joe's head back when Nico was sold the second time around with the suit. No way I could afford the body too! I finally was able to get a full Awin in sunshine, so the two of them share this body, even though Joe's head is a much lighter color now than the body is. The sunshine has a nice tendency to lose a lot of orange over time and mellow out to a nice tanish color.
Anyway, that might be what's making it difficult to tell. Plus, the blinding snow.

Now my V-06 heads are looking at me and asking when are THEY going to get a body? (one is in tan and the other in white - whyyyyy didn't I get them all in the same resin color? )

 

[MENTION=9171]aernath[/MENTION] LOL it's like Appalachia, where they have one shirt between them. In my house it's shoes, only one guy at a time can go to the store. (Partly because the boots I bought won't zip over the mighty Granado calves).

 

My poor Jim is still stuck wearing infant shoes. /le sigh.

I know what you mean about shared clothes. Gabriel and Daniel had one pair of shoes that fit them both for quite a while. I don't know why I gravitate towards sculpts with *giant* feet and hands. Eventually I discovered Dollheart fits my big footed boys and that's solved a lot of problems...

Heh heh. Yup. Snowy suggested I use something I have on hand for doing a shoot for this contest, back when I couldn't think of a single thing to do.
I see it every day, and just don't pay it any attention.
And thank you very much! ^___^ It took the entire week to design and make, and was my first attempt at doing stained glass in three dimensions. It was a Learning Experience! lol

OMGosh, I love every photo you guys posted, both in the contest and out. I didn't even know about it 'til it was over. maybe next year they'll have another one & I can enter some shots of my Pancho. congrats to all!

According to Granado it will need 30 work days till he will be send to me.
Mine will be a bit modded though (bit bigger eyes, probably let him smile a bit more), but I'll make sure to take a few before/after shots for references.

Sabrian, I just painted one for commission.
He was actually mine at first but I sold him because he didn't work out for the plans I had.
He got his eyes modded a bit though, since Mads has very small eyes:

Mads has a pretty big head.

Gosh I just fell so in love with Granado Pancho, I just had to order his head. Anyone know how long it takes to ship if you don't order a faceup? It says 50 days, but I wondered if there was a chance it could be sooner? lol I'm so impatient.

 

They are pretty much right around the 50 day mark, but they don't dawdle either! He'll be here before you know it!

 

Hello, everyone! I, too, have fallen for Pancho, and plan to make him into Legolas from Lord of the Rings. I noticed Granado offers a 60 day layaway, and was wondering what you all thought of their layaway program. Is it easy to use? How do you make payments after the first one? I looked at their guide, but didn't see a Paypal email.

I'm trying to decide whether to just get his head and ball-jointed hands now, and pay in full for them...or get his body now too, and have to use layaway, but save $70 over buying the body separately later. I will get either the Nuevo body or the 68cm long-leg body in that case. I would love to see spam of either, especially compared to Iplehouse SID or Spiritdoll Proud v.2, which I already have

My personal favorite is the long leg 68 for looks, but the Lads body is a great poser and has slimmer lines--here's a link:

Anyone have thoughts on their layaway? If it is easy to use, then I think I've made up my mind to just go for it

 

Whoa, thanks for that comparison pic, fishcake! That helps a lot. I plan to put my Pancho on a Souldoll body even though I have no idea if it will work haha. If it doesn't, I'll probably be getting the Lads body. It's because I have a random Granado Davon head that fits so perfectly on the Souldoll body, it's almost as though he was made for it. The resin color doesn't match at all, but it's okay because he'll be getting some neck tattoos anyway. xD

Yay Zardi! What an awesome idea to make him Legolas! He'd suit it so well, he's definitely got the nose for it I think. Yea, I wanted to do the layaway too but then realized it was only for orders over $300. :/ From what I understand, after you make your payment plan and make your first deposit, you do everything from the paypal end of things. So when you go to make your second payment, you just select the button that allows you to pay the second increment in your paypal activity. I haven't actually done it before, but that's how it works I think...

 

my Pancho gets an SD17 body. it will be difficult though to take off my Dollclans Kien head. even for a little while.

someday that lads body is coming my way.....with a head on it....sunshine?

Thanks a bunch for bringing up that they actually have a layaway plan you can select! That's super convenient, and it seems to work similarly to Iplehouse, which I'm used to. I'm looking at it now on the cart, and they give you 4 payments to pay it all off, though they do charge a "layaway fee" of 3% of the order including shipping, which is applied to the last payment.

That's ok, though. It still beats ordering the body separately later. I'm so excited that I can actually do this!

Aaaaand it's done! I put him on layaway I went with the nuevo body after all, so that he'd look a bit beefier, being an archer. Now I've got a few months to make him some clothes, at least.
