    3. Last week, I posted about how the special $149 room hotel room rate ends on May 28th and how important it is for us to fill 60 more room nights by that date. While we can't thank the few people who reserved since then enough, we are still seriously behind on reservations. To illustrate the seriousness of our current situation, if we do not fill 55 more room nights in a week, we could be responsible for up to $15,000 to pay for the unfilled hotel rooms. This would pretty much make it impossible for us to ever have a convention again, which would be sad for everyone.

      So, in a last minute attempt to stimulate more hotel room reservation, we are offering a special for the next week of free admission for one person to the entire convention if you reserve for two nights at the hotel. This admission will include the cocktail party on Friday night and all the fun and prizes for the rest of the weekend. To take advantage of this offer, please register for the full convention as usual and then make your hotel reservation. Then forward your hotel reservation confirmation to me via email ([email protected]) and I will refund one convention registration to you.

      We cannot thank enough the people who have had faith in us already and have paid for admission to the convention and reserved hotel rooms. While we cannot offer to refund admissions to all those who have registered before this week and are staying in the hotel, we would like to offer you a coupon for one free admission to next year's convention. To receive the coupon, please bring your hotel key to the registration desk at any time during the convention and we will issue you a coupon and check you off of our list as having received one.

      If you have reserved a hotel room already, please call the hotel (866-272-7098) to confirm that you have done so under the special "SDL" code so that your room will be applied to our totals.

      Again, thank you, everyone for supporting GoGaDoll. We're looking forwarding to having a great con even in these tough financial times!

    19. Roweena23- we are gonna be in so much trouble. Our hubbies are gonna kill us after the Goga. I have a feeling we are not gonna be allowed together after this one. LOL
      Are these outfits available at the Goga first and then to the general public. Of course I dont want to miss out!!! More photos! I want to see the white outfit. I went on the dollheart site but I didnt see these. I cannot wait for Goga. I am just lucky it only happens once a year.

I for one already feel safer - weddings sometimes brings out the worst in people and bjds, and I expect some participants will try to settle old scores....:lol:

Thanks to our wonderful attendees -- and the hotel going through their guest list and finding a number of people who had reserved outside of the block -- we only have to pick up about 10 more room nights to be in the clear. The hotel has extended the reservation cutoff to June 5, but please don't wait until then to make your reservation, because they are also going to be releasing some of the rooms in our block to other groups and double rooms may fill up quickly.

      I'm seriously in love with the person who had that outfit made for that doll. Once I get a job and get my Gary Oldman MNM a body, he's TOTALLY having outfits for Dracula from that movie commissioned for him. :>

    55. Hm, no, that's a new one on me too. Minors can come in at the same times as the other attendees, but we would appreciate it if people with small children would stay with them at all times and make sure that they do not touch any of the dolls or displays. We reserve the right to ask parents to take their children out of the room if this becomes a problem. Also, those considering bringing children in strollers should be mindful that the room can get very crowded and large strollers can block the aisles for other attendees. If the room is particularly crowded, security may have to ask them to park the stroller in the hall while they shop.

    59. SFO is about 20-30mins away from the hotel. I would suspect to pay about $20-30 for an shuttle to the hotel from the airport. Since I do not believe the hotel has its own courtesy shuttle.

      Hope this helps.
