Gem of Doll Waiting Room

I just got word that my black friday order has shipped out. Goodness, that's quicker than I expected.

 

Same here. Ordered Nov 27, shipped out Jan 10. But notified/given tracking today. Lol

 

I got Capricorn today, but she's missing her horns! Now, the free wig Christina includes was in there so you'd think this kind of thing would get noticed but apparently not. I'm kinda bummed, I think I'll just leave the doll in her box until this gets resolved.

 

I paid off my 1/4 Gaia from Alice's Collections today. Gaia has no extras so I'm sure this order will be fine. I have a bunch of other stuff in that order (including Ring Doll hands) so I'm not sure if the order's ready. Will have to wait for an answer from Alice. It took me the whole four months, too, so I'm glad I chose that lenght.
In other news my Capricorn still has no horns

 

I remember hearing from you on another platform that your Capricorn didn't arrive with her horns. (I think it may have been you, anyway!) I'm sad to hear she still doesn't have them.

 

@LittleFootstep I hope it was me Hopefully this isn't a common occurence...I did post about it on Facebook as well. I asked Christina for a status update a week ago and she said Gem of Doll haven't sent them yet. Well...thank you for your kind words anyway, hopefully she'll get them eventually.

Apparently my mouse boy has arrived at Clover Singing, which is great since I made my last layaway payment last week. They're just waiting on my extra wig that goes with the order, then they'll send him out. Glad it didn't take a year like my Capricorn, can't wait to have my Chris home.

 

Joining the waiting room for the first time! I'm doing a layaway order for little Abner in fullset, from Alice's Collections. I only made my 1st payment recently, so it's gonna be quite the wait for me til he arrives.

 

Oh, that reminds me, my 1/4 Gaia in tan is ready to go. Has been for a while in fact. But since AC is in Shenzen she can't be send out yet. I don't mind too much though, I'm relieved that AC seem to do fine otherwise.

 

I read that on AC as well! I really do hope they stay safe. Hopefully Gaia will be in your hands soon enough

 

Good news, Alice's Collections has resumed shipping! I got a message today, telling me that my package is on the way (with Fedex). It's on their notice, too, but I still didn't expect things to move that fast. Whee!

 

That's fantastic news!! I'm waiting on a package as well to be sent out, so I look forward to hearing from them.

 

I am back! I have ordered Aurora via Alice's. Horns and fancy ears are my ultimate weakness, apparently. I have some extra income this month, and this plus the current spring events make spending money on dolls super tempting.

 

My Chris just arrived at my parent's house this morning, and they'll be bringing him up when they drop off mom at my apartment for our Mother's Day weekend. Can't wait to see him, I'll post pics soon!

 

Whee! I ordered an "Avex" last night from Alice C! I'm excited and hope since she's not a full-set that it'll be a short wait

 

My Aurora has shipped! In fact it shipped yesterday. Their turn around time is still super quick, I'm kinda impressed. Hopefully she'll have her horns included right away.

 

Back to announce my Abner has been shipped! Or at least I got his tracking number from Alice's. Now the real wait begins xD

 

Joining the waiting room! Newly released Jesson got me, ordered him in white with a company face-up on 11/11. He will be the tallest of my boys and I just cannot wait!!

 

*Facepalms* So this is a recurring theme... I forgot to update. My only excuse for this one was that it happened SO fast. I had ordered the Gem of Doll "Avex" May 23, 2022 and she arrived June 23.... 2022. I was not mentally prepared for a one month wait, I remember being so mad about it XD (Of all things to be mad about...)

 

Thank you for the update! Fingers crossed Jesson will get this energy and arrives here real quick, I'm very impatient! But I had a similar thing happen with other companies when the dolls arrived sooner than expected. I was mad because I haven't finished ordering their wigs, eyes, and clothes lol But Jesson's wig is coming from the same dealer, fingers crossed it fits

 

All my fingers are crossed! I think my mindset was more about how I had specifically spaced out the dolls so they didn't arrive all at once. Instead, all three came within a week of each other even WITH several months difference between order dates. I was trying NOT to look like I was throwing money to the wind XD

 

Joining here because I also ordered Jesson, just today. Broke my New Years Resolution to finish dolls before buying more over him.I just love the vampire hunter aesthetic, so I also got the fullset.
This will be my first doll from Gem of Doll, though I've seen one of their 1/6th girls in person.

Honestly the wait list has me filled with hope, the turnover time looks crazy fast. I might just be here more often- though maybe not so soon with another doll. Haha~

I pounced on a Gem of Doll Shinsa second hand, so now I’m waiting on two Gem YoSDs… Ooops!

 

My fullset Jesson should be here this upcoming Wednesday (give or take)! Barely, over 2 months, even with the fullset. Whew, Gem is fast.

I gotta clean the house to take pictures, haha.

 

Gem of Doll had some kind of promotion during April in a few sculpts and I ordered Hades! He is a sculpt that I've always admired but a little out of my price range so when I saw the discount I couldn't resist. My order was placed on April 21st and after seeing others additions to this thread here is to hoping he also gets to me fast! Oh he is also my first BJD ever so it adds another layer of anxiousness to it all.

 

I ordered the Beth fullset the first day she dropped. Now i'm just waiting haha! She's going to be my comfort doll for any doctor appointments (or chemo appointments) I have after she arrives. I am constantly impressed by the level of detail on Gem of Doll's fullsets, and when she was released I just couldn't help myself.

 

I couldn't resist Beth either and committed to a layaway for her last minute ^^;; I initially wanted to settle on just her outfit, but her sweet little face kept pleading for me to get her, so I did . I swear Gem has a chokehold on winning me over with their yosds, haha xD

 

My Beth arrived today!! I got her all dressed up and I'm hopelessly in love, she's so PRECIOUS
I've been calling her "Sweet Pea" for now until i can come up with a good name for her ^^

 

I bought the Coraline mermaid! First mermaid doll for me, she's so pretty. I got her human parts, too. In milk peach pink, so skin color is a bit of a gamble, but I'm not picky so it's fine.

 

Since I think about buying her in that skin color too, may I ask why that skin color is a gamble? Do the batches come out very differently?

 

My Jesson was purchased and arrived in TWO MONTHS. I love this company so much. He's in the tan color too and he looks amazing. I haven't had a chance to play with him too much because lots of stuff has come up (working a convention and traveling out of my country). I ordered him April and I got him like June. And yet still waiting on dolls from DFH and Souldoll that I purchased in 2022. I would give Gem of Doll more money no problem. Fry style (iykyk)

 

Because it's new and I haven't seen owner photos yet. I only went by Gem's example photos. Likewise, it's maybe too early to tell how much variance there is between batches. We'll see.

 

I just received the siren bust, or chest platform as they call it. It's sooo gorgeous, and the resin is flawless. It's supposed to be in Milk Peach Pink, but it looks white to me. The teeny hint of rose only shows in certain lights.

Hm, I ordered my Olita in this color; I hope I like it in person. Usually I avoid white resin.

 

Milk Peach Pink definitely reads pretty light, but it's not as white-white compared to Gem's white skin. Putting the two side-by-side, the light pink undertones are more obvious next to the yellowish tones of the white.

I personally really like it on my little Beth, though preferences may vary on whether you like it more white-tinted vs. an actual peachy pink

Honestly, the bust is whiter than I would like it to be. There is no mention of the color in the CoA and sometimes I wonder if they sent me the wrong one.

 

@ElectricMauve Someone on Facebook also bought a doll in that color and said it was way whiter than expected, so I think that's just what it looks like in real life, a white with a slightly pink undertone.

I think when I get my mermaid I'm gonna take comparison pictures with my other white skin dolls and post it into the white skin comparison thread.

Milk Peach Pink looks like a while with a pink undertone to me. Somewhere between white and normal. I don't have good lightning, but I will take comparison pictures once I do!

Hello everyone! I just ordered my first complete doll from Alice's Collection that is not second-hand, a White Crow Wall nude doll without faceup. I'm very excited and very curious to know what it will look like without faceup.
I've already gotten the idea that it may take about 9 months for him to get home, so I'll try to entertain myself by looking for clothes and a wig for him.
Does anyone else order or plan to order this sculpture?

Maybe this is not the right forum for this question, but I am new here and I didn't know where to post this question... I just ordered a 1/4 nude doll from Gem of doll through Alice's Collection, White Crow Doll, and I I would like to ask someone who has ordered nude dolls from Gem of Doll if they send you the doll with the eyes that appear in the promotional photos, others similar to that style, or basic acrylic eyes. It's about looking at alternative eyes...

 

@Miss_Lizzy_Darcy They send random glass eyes, generally. They're nice, good quality eyes, but not the ones shown in the promos. They also send eyelashes. And eye putty.

 

Thank you very much for your answer. That being the case, I won't worry about his eyes now, I'll dedicate myself to finding him a wig and clothes.

 

Late post, but I ordered a Human version of Murch fullset at the beginning of October. I can’t wait to meet him. I expect he will be delayed a bit because of end of year order volume, so I expect to get him around new year the end of January or so, but who knows? Maybe I’ll get lucky and he will arrive earlier.

 

Bit the bullet and ordered Taurus Carlos beast version in milk peach pink. He's so unbelievably cute on the photos, and those hooves are gonna be a delight to paint.

 

Has anyone who ordered their Mermaids through acbjd already got them?
I know gemofdoll posted some time ago they shipped/started to ship the mermaids and I saw people posting theirs.. However I have heard nothing from acbjd about my mine

 

To be honest, the only time I've ever ordered from Alice's Collections before, I wasn't notified of a change of status of my order until after it was already at my door. Sometimes they do oops, even if they are generally good about customer service. It is possible yours is already almost ready or shipped if others ordered around the same time are already arriving. I ordered from them again recently, so I'll see if they remember to notify me this time or not. Either way, good luck, and I hope your wait isn't too much longer!
