    4. Nice wardrobe, really well-made

    5. And to agree with everyone else, nice couch, candygears. It looks really well designed and I like the way you personalized it to your dolls.

    6. I'll represent an artist A.N. who is making beautiful dioramas with my little help (but doesn't have and account here). They are 1/6 size and are perfect for my tiny bjd Fleur (18cm) ^ ^
Though A.N. recently started a new project, for 1/3 dolls. I hope to show some work in progress pictures soon : )

So, first I'll introduce the size of our little model Fleur ^ ^

    7. So many great pieces and ideas!! Fantastic work y'all! We just got an IKEA in Kansas and the catalog is madening, I want all of it!

The About.com Miniatures http://miniatures.about.com site is chock-full of great tutorials and tips and photos and printables in many scales, I've been getting the newsletter for several years. That's where I go to look for techniques and ideas for miniature stuff; foods, flowers, decorations, furniture, displays, etc.

The furniture of the artist you introduce is gorgeous! I noticed it earlier in dollhouses thread.
      Love your doll, too!

    9. Doll_lover, thank you! I'm glad you like it ^ ^ I'll let A.N. know about your kind words :)

    10. Your work is just amazing!!

    11. I recently made a chaise. Originally, it had been an extendable book rack that I purchased at a second-hand store. But after staining, painting, and upholstering...it became a very comfortable place to sit and read a book.

    12. I made my first furniture piece this weekend. A couch for my and my fiance's msds.

(Sorry for the messy background, threw a piece of fabric over my sewing machine to try to help out with how WHITE my girl is)

It still needs legs and even after that it might be a tad short, but I’m not too worried about it.

It’s made out of empty dvd cases, empty fabric softener boxes, duct tape, fabric, and hot glue.
It’s my first piece of furniture, and has a few imperfections but overall I’m pretty proud of the results.

    13. I like the blue sofa. where did you learn to make it? I have 5 1/3rd dolls and nothing for them to sit on :pout::pout:.

    14. I'm reviving this thread to show off this amazing rocking chair that my father made me:
I'ts a near perfect model of an old rocking chair that belonged to my grand mother and is still in the family.
The chair is in 1:6 scale and the doll in it is an Asleep Eidolon male Cordelia.
The original has a hand painted floral design of the head board that I will try to replicate as soon as I work up the courage to do so. But even without it, it looks so much like the real thing, it's almost spooky.

A fun feature is that he made the rocking parts, (what do you call them in english, the curved floor bits) out of metal, so that the weight of them makes the chair stand very well even with a doll in it and the rocking motions it makes are very realistic. :D

    15. This table is one of the fastest BJD crafts I ever completed, thanks to a hyperfocus that didn't die partway through the project. In a week, I assembled this table out of cardboard, origami paper, and glue. Furniture building hyperfocus has yet to return, so it's "OOAK" in its diorama.

Poorly lit pic of a MSD-sized chair I made over the summer, out of cardboard and papier-mâché, plus acrylic paint and wood lacquer for the faux wood grain finish. One of these days I'll finish upholstering the pillow, and do a proper post about the whole project.
