Lost/Damaged FM-Anime: Possible Shipping and Communication Problems

    3. Regarding the glass eyes, I really believe that there's one manufacturer who distributes to at least two dozen resellers, and two of them are on this forum. In fact, I believe two other big doll companies are also selling the very same eyes as well, under differing names. So please becareful in thinking that someone is scamming another when it comes to them.
       
    4. There seem to be no updates on items received but there have been several cases of shipping issues aside from this seller at the same time.

      If both the custom wigs and glass eyes areede else where and distributed by FM Anime I'm curious if there is a more reputable shop to order the same items?

      Also, is there any reason FM Anime has not registered with DoA and come herself to answer questions and concerns. I understand that there is a language barrier (I'm also not sure if registration is closed?) but some of the concerned members might feel better speaking to her directly about their issues.

      As I've stated before, I'm not so concerned about scamming as I am communication problems.

    6. It seems like this has become one big web of confusion, with all these eBay seller names getting tossed around as well as accusations being thrown left and right....

      I also think everyone should read hyschara's post and take it to heart. I have seen big-name doll companies selling the same Glib acrylic eyes as each other and using the same photographs as each other, and no one is pointing the finger at them. So before we accuse people of theft or scamming we need to think about the situation in a bit more depth. It's a pretty well-known fact that doll companies don't manufacture 100% of the accessories they sell, sometimes they simply act as a retailer or distributor, which is what FM-Anime is doing for Captured in Glass eyes and Happy Camille wigs.

      Personally, I think Venus has been doing her best in this situation, and I really feel for her. I sincerely hope this doesn't permanently damage her reputation, it would be a crippling blow to the store in such an early stage to have misunderstanding create distrust in such a large potential customer base as Den of Angels.

      Poiizu, if she's worried, you should let her know that there are people like me who sympathize with her and are rooting for her too. I'd send her an email myself but I'm sure she has more pressing issues to deal with than to listen to what may simply come across as pandering.
       
    7. I have to agree. What started from a simple warning that she has had a lot of problems with sending out packages has become a lot of speculation.

      At this time, the only thing we can confirm is that there has been some serious issues with her packages getting to customers. She has said that this is due to the postal service, and that PayPal is not allowing her to give refunds because they have her account suspended pending the review of the claims.

      The reason eBay closed her account is that they linked her old account with the new one. She did not verify personal papers or something on the old one, so she opened a new account, and eBay is still needing that so they shut down her new account until they can verify this information, whatever it is.
       
    8. KohakuTenshi, you've been a really great sport in all this. I hope you understand that it's not that I don't have any sympathy for your situation either (it can be EXTREMELY frustrating when there are shipping problems and one missing package after another from a seller). Even though you've been having some issues you haven't been doling out any sharp accusations and you've remained open-minded to all possibilities. I think it takes a very flexible and trustworthy person to hold your composure even in frustrating situations. :sweat

      Obviously whatever flukes occur in the shipping process are usually out of the seller's control... If they lose a package twice it really seems like ridiculously horrible luck. I do believe she has been trying to track it down for you. The whole situation is pretty confusing regarding those eyes!
       
    9. I'm not accusing anyone, but I just think that sometimes people get carried away whenever there is a little drama, throwing around accusations and such. And I agree with Kuma, it's just all a big misunderstanding. And Kohaku, thank you for being so patient and understanding through all of this. I know it seems that I always taker her side, but I still believe she's not a scammer and has just had bad luck with the post office due to holidays and snow. I know this hobby isn't cheap, so trusting someone with your money can make you a bit paranoid.

      And thank you Kuma, it's really nice to know I'm not the only one defending Venus. She is SUCH a sweetheart and is so worried about what the people on DoA are saying about her. She wants to get an account as soon as she can so that she can answer everyone questions directly. We really appreciate your support!
       
    10. If no one feels this is a scamming situation anymore, I'll stop worrying about updates so frequently. As I've mentioned, I haven't ordered anything myself and unfortunately my reply in the news thread was used to start this one and I've felt obligated to keep it up and try to be fair to all parties.

      I'll be waiting until items are received to order. Not because I believe FM Anime is not sending items but because I know there are serious shipping issues right now. If anyone would like anything added or updated the first post of this thread, PM me and I'd be more than happy to do so.

I realize this has really already been resolved but I wanted to add in another comment of reassurance that I was planning to carry these eyes as well until I realized there are already several dealers that do. I'm actually unclear on the base source of the eyes but they are all over. The dealer I was talking to wasn't even Captured in Glass and they were the very same designs.

    20. nyann, it sounds like you are talking about ordering from a distributor, not from FM-Anime directly. This thread is about FM-Anime itself, so your post may just add more confusion to the matter.

      To me, the dealer is the employee of the company she works in. Now I understand to you, the dealer is a distributor only. I am sorry for my confusion.

      I believe I will deal with Venus myself through the forum above mentioned in my last post since the selling is done on that other forum and not DOA.

      I am glad that the other people in DOA who have bought off the shop directly is not facing any more issues. I have PMed Venus asking about the poor feedback on DOA and she replied saying that the issues are all resolved (According to this thread)

      My situation right now is
      Venus the FM-ANIME seller with nickname Venus_ha on sgcafe.com has opened up a discounted selling thread for FM-ANIME on sgcafe.com
      I have purchased from her through sgcafe.com
      I have paid her through one paypal address.
      Then I added two more wigs to my order. She asked me to pay to another Paypal address. (This is the questionable part which she has not replied me yet)

      I believe I should had made my situation clearer. Venus is very communicative and she replies within 24 hours. But even if the situation is not bad or negative, I still believe potential buyers need to know the customer service of this company and their employed representatives before doing any purchases.
       
    25. Okay, thanks for the clarification. :) I do believe the seller you purchased from is the one who runs FM-Anime. I believe Paypal closed one of her accounts due to eBay troubles (which she says are due to postal issues), so that may be why you had to send payments to two different email addresses.
       
    26. after reading the recent posts, i just wanted to add that i ordered a custom wig and eyes. but due to a typo when i filled out the bank paper, my paypal payment got canceled. when i wanted to re-send it venus told me "her new paypal address" and told me to send it there instead. i dunno if that matters, just wanted to say it. i had e-mail contact with venus all the time.
       
    27. I ordered and sent payment for a pair of eyes from FM-Anime on February 13th. I was told the eyes would be sent after Chinese New Year, at the end of February.

      Thus far I have recieved no shipping notice and although I am in contact with Venus via email, the dates she tells me the eyes are being sent keep jumping around. It is now a week into March, and I have heard no word from Venus as to an update on my order.

      I am presuming that she is simply dealing with a backlog of orders from February, but after being told that the factory she deals with re-opened on the 26th and that I would recieve the shipping notice for my eyes within a few days, you can understand why I feel a bit confused.
       
    28. I have completed my purchases with Venus for a total of 8 wigs yesterday and paid her through Paypal. The 'new' paypal address situation had been settled. She had created a payment page for me on the FM-ANIME website to help me pay the second half of the bill instead of paying directly to her personal email address.

      She is very communicative and she tries very hard to ensure we get good customer service.

      I'll update again when my wigs arrive from Venus.
       
    29. I have never bought in this shop but I have some information about it.
      They are selling wigs from Happy Camille as dealers, but they have never mentioned Happy Camille, so I think it's not really correct.
      (I know it because I'm a dealer of Happy Camille too, and I have asked Happy Camille because all the photos appeared in the wig section are from Happy Camille, and HP said that they were dealers).
      And so with some of the eyes they have...
       
    30. I ordered a wig from them last month, requested a smaller size and then was quite happy when I got a shipping notice this week. Except when I checked the tracking number it's on the way to completely the wrong country :/ All my shipping details are correct on the site but it's still somehow going to the States rather than the UK.

      Tried emailing but no response so far, I'm hoping to get some news soon :<

    32. My eyes from FM-Anime arrived at my local post office today. I did not recieve a shipping notice as I was told I would, though it does not matter now really.

      Venus did however mark the price of the contents of my parcel up for some unknown reason, and I was charged by customs to have my order released. Bit of a pain, but I'm glad the eyes got here in the end.

    34. I just want to add my 2 cents in here..

      I ordered a custom wig from Venus about a month ago and paid right away. She told me it would take about a month to complete, and then we went on to discuss the details of the wig. After all the details were sorted out she said she would do her best. I had very good communication with her that whole time. Afterward I emailed her periodically just to check in on my wig and she emailed me back promptly to let me know the status.

      The last email I had sent to her got a reply that my wig had been shipped (I didn't get any pictures though). Yesterday my wig arrived and it is just beautiful and exactly what I want.

      I guess I just want to say that my whole transaction with Venus has been wonderful, I'm sorry that not everyone is experiencing the same!
       
    35. I've only just noticed this thread, or I would have posted earlier; I bought 2 wigs from Venus when she was trading on eBay as mickey_haha. I bought and paid for them on 15th November last year. As of 20th December, there was no sign of the wigs (even though I'd ordered stuff from Mimiwoo in HK a week later that had already arrived). I messaged her twice through eBay asking for an update and a tracking number.

      She ignored both messages, so I raised an "Item not received" dispute on eBay, which she also ignored. So I negged her on the 30th December - which certainly got her attention! She was very upset I'd negged her and claimed the wigs were caught up in the Christmas post - but given the transaction took place on the 15th November, that seemed very unlikely to me. She gave me a tracking number that was entirely fictitious.

      I raised a PayPal dispute and escalated it to a claim; it was only when PayPal got involved that she supplied a proper tracking number - which showed that she had only handed the parcel over to the HK post office on the 31st December - i.e., after I'd negged her. It looked very much to me as though she'd had no intentions of posting it off until PayPal got involved.

      The two wigs finally turned up at the beginning of February, by which time PayPal had already found in my favour and refunded me, and told me I was entitled to keep the wigs as they'd determined she was a fraudulent trader.

      She then sent me an email on the 6th February claiming to have posted the wigs on the 24th December and quoting yet another tracking number, asking me to drop the PayPal claim. She signed herself as Venus and used the [email protected] email address, so it's pretty conclusive that Venus was indeed mickey_haha, and PayPal at least believe she's a fraudulent scammer. I certainly wouldn't trust her or advise anyone to buy from her.

      I got the two SD wigs from Venus on Friday, 18th March as promised. It was registered air-mail and both wigs came in an envelope. Transaction was smooth, items arrived. I am happy. I have also noted this purchase down in FM-ANIME's feedback thread in the Reviews.

    38. First, I'm not very fluent in English so sometime my phrase are not state clearly. Please forgive me. ^^


      I placed an order with her one day before this treat created, must say I was little panic because my order are over $100 but decided to wait for the result.

      Since most of my wigs are in different size or color than she have on site then she told me I need to wait one month. But Venus didn't contact me after 31 days passed so I emailed her. Her reply is, the change in size and color need more time and offered to send me one wig and one pair of eyes she had first. I told her I'm willing to wait for all items but asked to upgrade to EMS. She's okay and said she will upgrade it free and all items will be send out at March, 23.

      Venus emailed me at March, 24 that the order were sent out (at the same day) and gave me tracking number. The package arrived today in an envelope. Marked as BJD wigs & eyes with $30 value as I asked. But she forgot one wigs and one pair of eyes. (I thought they are the same one wig and eyes she offered to send me ahead) . Plus two item in package seems to have a little problem too.

      One in my oder is this wig, a bun seems loose and you can see head cap fabric clearly without breaking into it. While the other bun looks pretty as it should be. In pic my brother only hold it loosely in his hand for taking the picture.

      I emailed her about all problems but seems I did a vaguely describe then she misunderstood about condition of wig and eye, although in very fast reply. So I replied her back with more detail and waiting for her answer.

      I need to say I not doing this for discredit her or anything. Her wig fiber are very good and looks very lovely. Plus I'm really aware that her price are very reasonable and she must have many orders so it's acceptable if the order take more time. I really can wait and do not expect the same quality and the same customer service of more pricey company. Even if it's nagging me that she didn't contact me about the late. This is the situation that happened and I leave the decision on you. ^^

      I will post more comment in FM-ANIME's feedback thread after I have the last two items.



      edit: just saw she's missed my street number address. Very fortunate that the parcel didn't sent to the wrong house. ^^
       
    39. hello again. i just wanted to let you guys know that my order arrived today. i requested a picture before its being shipped, but i didnt get one. it just arrived here without any note. well i have to say that the wig quality feels very nice. i think she left it a bit too long but thats better than too short. the wig color is a bit different than on the site, but i think its still ok. i just tried it on my other doll, i think there arent any flaws or anything. the eyes are also ok. but i might update this once the doll gets here whos supposed to wear the stuff.
       
    40. I checked the FM Anime feedback thread but wanted to post a question here, too.

      I ordered two wigs in May 2010 from FM Anime. They were not custom styles or anything; I just requested in-stock wigs to be made in a different color. It has been nearly 9 weeks and to my knowledge they have not shipped. Their website lists color changes as 30-45 days for processing.

      I knew there would be a wait but... anyone else experiencing a delay like this? I'm a bit frustrated.

    41. Yea they take a long time really. My first wig was custom though but they made it in the wrong color they said they thought the color was more suited to the character, um i paid for it i should pick the color that is suited best. Fm anime gets there wig from camiella and camiella is slow and not very reliable. Fm anime does what they can but camiella can be slow and not responsible.

I participated in a group order for Happy Camille wigs directly from HC, and it appeared that they responded to the GO leader's messages with relative swiftness, and the huge bulk of wigs were made and shipped within the time frame they provided. There were some issues, but everything was dealt with in a timely fashion. I'm unsure of whether it's fair to say that they are slow/not responsible?

      After all the issues with FM-Anime/etc, I found it easier to buy directly from HC via the group order, rather than mess with a disputable dealer.

      Whoa. They made your wig in a different color, MidnightDreamer?! That's horrible. I hope you posted that in the HC feedback thread. I know FM Anime is only the dealer... hopefully they caught that before sending it on to you. Or did you not know about the color change until after you received the wig?

      Thanks rottedgirl. I really wish I had ordered through your GO. I saw it a few days after I had placed my order. :( The wigs I saw come out of it looked beautiful - such vibrant colors. :)

      I love their color chart, which is why I decided to take a chance. Right now I'm waiting on an email from Venus to see what she has to say. I'm hoping she responds with good news. I'm just frustrated/confused/craving communication.

      EDIT: Received news from Venus. She shipped one of my wigs yesterday - the other is not finished yet.
       
    44. I wish I had thought to search for this thread before ordering from fm.anime.....if I had done that first, I probably would not have ordered from such an inconsistent company. I have ordered 2 wigs, both same style and colour and which was in stock a week ago, as yet I have not received any shipping info and my order status is still 'processing'....I know a week is still early, but for something that should have already been made, it's taking a while to get to the post office.....;)

      will update as I go...

      edit note: 2.46pm - email sent enquiring when wigs will be posted. Also, I have ordered from dollfie_home before (ebay - I didn't realise they were related....) and though the shipping took around 2-3 weeks, I did receive them safely and was happy enough with the quality.
       
    45. If it was made in a different colour than it was not in stock.
      It took me 70 days to get my wig that was in a different size, but the same colour.
      If you change anything at all, be it size or colour, it is not in stock.
       
    46. I think it has been determined that dollfie_home isn't the same company as FM-Anime, it's just that they are both dealers for the same manufacturer, Happy Camille.

    48. The fm anime people caught that the color was different and told me. I told them I really needed a certain color and they talked to happy camille. They got them to remake my wig in the right color. Fm anime has always been there for me. I was in a group order for Happy Camille straight and never again. Not only did it take ages and the group leader got short responses that took a while to recieve as I know cause the group leader is a good friend of mine and was complaining to me. The wigs finally arrived and 6 were lost/missing including mine. Soon after they discontinued my color and refused to remake it for me even though they lost my wig in the first place. She still does group orders from them straight which I'll never understand but no way on earth will I do that again. This was my first group order experience and im turned off of group orders from this.
       
    49. I will keep an eye on this thread until my other wig ships. Once they both arrive I will leave applicable feedback in the company feedback thread. Again I stress that I know FM Anime does not make the wigs so the hold up is not on their end. Venus always replies to my emails within 24-48 hours.

      I realize that the wigs I ordered were not in stock. I mentioned in my original post that I was aware of a wait when I ordered since FM Anime publicizes a 30-40 day processing time on their website. As I am on Day 63 (Day 60 or so when I posted my inquiry on this thread), I am/was getting concerned... which is why I wanted to see if others are experiencing a delay.

      Just wanted to make myself clear. ;) I knew from the get-go there would be a wait. I checked feedback, etc. and at the time I ordered the wait for changing colors was about one month (which falls into the processing time they publicize).

      Thank you for sharing your personal experience and how long it took you to receive your own wigs. I appreciate it. :)
       
    50. I ordered a pair of eye from FM-anime before and it arrives on time. The next transaction i had was very frustrating. Yes, i know that i have to wait at least 30-40 days for the production of the wig but waiting these longs really got in to me. I ordered 3 pair of wigs last April 17th. They sent me one wig around maybe middle of June since the other two WERE'NT READY?!
      And got the other two wig around second week of this month July?
      I blew up since the brown bob wig that they sent me does'nt look the same as the one they have posted in their site. Yes, it is brown hair and short. But thats only it- it does look like a hair of guy. I told him that i wanted to send it back since i wasnt happy AT ALL about everything. Waiting for that long for a wig that doesnt even look like the one i ordered.
      Anyways, he said i could keep it and they will just replace it and promised that i wont wait that long again.
      So right now, its been two weeks . . . and im still waiting for it. I dont think i will ever purchased stuffs from them after this.
      It is just sad, they had good stuff in their store. But the costumer service wasnt really that great, for me.

Just an update re: my wig order - sent an email to Venus on 21st July 9.45am and got a very quick reply later the same day.....said the wigs were NOT in stock and that they would be sent out by the end of the month; was offerred an alternative that could have been sent out straight away in same colour, but different style. I declined the offer, but suggested another alternative, not had a reply to that yet.....:|

      update 16th August 2010 - The end of the month came and went and had heard nothing from FM Anime, so contacted Venus again; she replied with an apology and said the wigs would be sent by the 10th August. By the 11th sent another email asking for reference number or refund and got a reply that wigs had been sent....13th August, the wigs arrived and were the ones I had ordered in the right colour.

      Despite this being the most problematic transaction I think I have ever had to deal with, credit goes to Venus who was always polite and responded quickly to messages.
       
    52. oh no I spent 47 dollars there for 2 wigs and they told me numerous times that it would take 30 to 45 days for my special wigs to be made am I getting scammed?
       
    53. Figured I'd just jump in here with an update.

      I am still waiting on a wig from my May 19, 2010 order. That's 13 weeks (91 days). I know that FM Anime is not the manufacturer of the wigs but my patience is wearing thin. I have contacted Venus to request a swap for an in-stock wig.

      I strongly recommend FM Anime update the production time listed on their items to reflect the delay. Just my two cents.

      I will post an update and feedback in the appropriate thread when (and if) my original order is completed.

      edit: wig arrived on september 7th so about 6/7 days shipping time, monthish creation.
       
    58. I commissioned a custom wig and it came out very nicely! Loved the softness and the hue of green used!
      I just ordered a long blue wig, since I was happy with the green one, I will update the status and possibly post pictures too! ^_^
