Hannya mask #2​

I've made Doi Kinuko's mask! It took me 14 days from beginning to the end of the mask, but now it's done!
I like it, and I think I will do a new mask for Hisame, because I don't like her mask very much (it's the ocher Oni mask).

I've add a fourth girl on this thread! It's a Maskcat doll Xilv, that I want from a different family than the three others. That's why her faceup is slightly different (less red) and her wig is going to be red.

I decided to make magnitic horns for Rakujitsu. I did them in woodformo, a wood paste I like a lot.

Oni Mask

I've done Rakujitsu's Oni mask. He is in woodformo clay and teeth are in epoxy paste. It's the first time for years that I use pure woodformo (I used to do half woodformo half Ladoll) but the composition has changed, it's less rough than before. I prefer it this way!
The mask is very like Tsuyu's mask (wich is more Oni than Hannya, now that I'm use to their difference), but well... it's nice nonetheless!

Rakujitsu's wig is still in progress, I'm waiting for more fibers before finishing it. After that she will be in the same state than Hisame : waiting for her tattoos!

I've finished Rakujitsu's wig some weeks ago. Not a lot to say, aside I don't really like working with synthetic hair.
Now she's like Hisame, she's 'only' missing her tattoos. *sigh*

Doi Kinuko's faceup and wig

I've recieved Doi Kinuko's body last week. I have painted her faceup just after it, and made her wig too. As she is a young Oni, I've painted a lighter faceup than the rest of her family, and made a shorter wig for a younger look.

Last year I added a new girl to my always bigger and bigger Oni clan! It's Nametsukusu, Tsuyu's granddaughter.

Nametsukusu is a Dollmore Seol-a on Dream Valley body. I've modified her nose and her mouth, and added two asymmetrical horns on her forehead, in order to make her look more like, well, her father actual daughter. (Father is a Miracledoll Baiye with a big smile and asymmetrical horns)
I've forget to take pictures before the mods, but Hanatsukuri kindly let me use thoses she takes of her own Seol-a.

I've also taken pictures of her faceup in progress, but no shot of it once finished...

This girl is currently at a friend's home, for shorten her legs and mod her neck. I could do the neck mod myself, but my friend is far more talented than me in modifications so I've asked her if she agreed to do it for me XD.

Long time without news again! This will be the project of my life, haha. I'm adding a new doll, and I'm begining to sew for my Oni girls.

I wanted to sew an outfit for Nametsukusu, but she is still at a friend's home for modifications (I want her legs to be shorten and she also needs a neck mod). So I started an outfit for Doi Kinuko instead. I'd like something quite cute and younger than traditionnal furisode. I'm planning a short outfit, with hakama skirt, kimono-like dress, obi and haori.

Now I still have the haori to sew! It will be the longest part, I fear. It's all hand sewn because I don't have a sewing machine. ^^'

 

@StellaMarigold Thank you very much! She is on a dollzone body, right, but I don't remember which one. One of the SD girl bodies that were discontinued one or two years ago. Color match was pretty good when new, but now the body is slighlty yellower. And the head moves not very well.

edit: found! It's a NB 58-001 body!

I've more or less finished Doi Kinuko's outfit! I just need to iron the haori, and I wish to add a little necklace too. And maybe socks? But I'm not sure.

@Aikaa It's not really complicated, but when you begin a new activity, you need to accept to not be very good at the begining. I paint faceups since 2008, tattoos too, I craft masks since 2011 and I sew, well, from time to time since 2006 (that's what I'm least good at)
For your girl on the way, maybe you finally will want to try something else on her? Or you will later have an asian styled doll? My first dolls weren't asian styled, but I always loved kimono and I ended with many dolls in japanese outfit XD

I've begin a new outfit! The one for Nametsuku. Even if I'd better say "one of the outfits for Nametsukusu" because I've bought many fabrics, I will do at least a second outfit for her
I wanted this time a short kimono, a short hoari, an obi and a long hakama skirt.

Here is the begining, the short kimono with middle-long sleeves. Under her are the fabrics I will use for the rest of the outfit:

Then I did an obi in a nice checkered fabric. I'm quite proud of the obi, even it will be hidden under the short haori:

I've finished both the obi and the haori yesterday in the evening. Here is the haori in progress:

I think I haven't shown Mijikayo on this topic yet! It's my latest addition to my female ogres. Maybe the last? We can hope!
I've done and redone her faceup. She is a Qing Wan 2019 from ANother Secret, with modded horns. Sadly I have no pictures of the nude head before modification... or maybe on my phone? I'm not sure. Anyway, here is she with her second faceup attempt.

Today I show the outfit currently in progress that I sew for Mijikayo! I own a beautiful green fabric (with a gradient, I just love it) for more than 12 years and I never dared using it. Sadly I don't have a lot of it, only 70cm... so I sew a kimono with short sleeves out of it, with a green with flowers fabric on top of it. For the obi I hesitated between two farbics, the two in beige tones.

I finished second outfit for Nametsukusu! It is less traditional than the first, and I'm ot sure I really like the result. It is also the less well sewed of my yokai's outfits. It may not be seenable on pictures, but I know it!

Next outfit for her will be a grey one, for winter, and I don't really know what shape I will give to it.

 

Next outfit for Nametsukusu! I did it as fast as possible, because I wanted to take pictures of her in the snow. But the snow melted before I finished it.

As some of you might know it, I made some of my masks in resin. I have a SD Kitsune one, and I always liked it with Hisame, my ANS SP green pill. I decided I wanted one especially for her. Here are WIP pictures of it!
The friend that casted them for me made me a black and white Kitsune, and I added teeth on one side:

I realized looking at first pic that I forgot to sew the sleeves to the kimono body . I don't even know where I put them, shame on me. The obi is unfinished yet, it miss its knot. The hakama skirt is not begin.

 

Second outfit for Doi Kinuko is finished! Or nearly, as I didn't sew the brown kimono sleeves to the kimono body. But I don't know if I will attache them or not, so in the meantime here are pictures of the outfit

Aaaaaaaaand fourth outfit for Nametsukusu in progress! It's a spring outfit this time. After this one, I'll try to focus on the others' outfits. I have a kimono set in progress since last year for Mijikayo and an other for Matsuyama for as much long ^^'

I also begin a mask for Mijikayo! An onna, as I was planning initially.
And I removed Tsuyu's faceup. Something bothered me on it, and even if I still don't know what, I'd like to redo it. The poor gal is 10y old this year, and she is slightly unevenly yellowed. Even if it's strange, it's not due to light exposure I think. It's a small area above the right eye that is more white than the rest of her face.

But enough complains! Here is the onna mask in progress:

Like I said last time, I removed my Narcissus' faceup. The doll is 10 years since last March, and her faceup was 5 years old. I wanted something more subtil for her now. Here is first step of her third faceup!

I was also tired by her huge nude forehead. That's why now she will have a red design on the forehead

Last year I begin a second outfit for Mijikayo. A beige and deep red furisode, on a cream nagajuban, with a brown furisode on top. That was the plan, but the nagajuban+ first furisode are already very thick (I used a too thick cotton fabric for the lining). So I changed my mind, and went for one outfit with only the nagajuban and beige furisode (that miss an obi), and a second outfit with the brown furisode and a black haori.

As I can't keep it simple, I also decided to hand paint the black haori.

So here is the painting on the left sleeve!


And that is how the brown and black outfit is looking right now:

I still have the haori's body to cut, sew and paint. After I will have the lining to do. The obi is also in progress, but no nice photos of it yet!

Thank you so much! I want to paint more haori or kimono! I already have ideas for two more, one for Rakujitsu (the outfit is in progress) and one for Tsuyu. Poor Tsuyu, I never sewed for her.​

Luckily I began a spring outfit for Nametsukusu last summer. I only completed it this week!

Also, I sold Hisame, my ANS Green Pill SP (Tsuyu's sister). Mainly because I wanted to start a new oni girl. I already owned 13 ogres (male and female all together) and I didn't want to have more of them.
