Aesthetics Female Oni - Doi Kinuko's new faceup in progress- (03-22-2026) (p.9)

Hello everyone!
I already have a project thread but it goes on very slowy. So I open a new one for a totally different girl!
This time the idea is making a japanese monster woman, more or less a geisha.

I own the doll for 3 years now. I bought the head (ANother Secret Narcissus) back in 2013. She is currently on a Spiritdoll Elegance body I bought in 2014 but I will switch her on my older Spiritdoll Elegance body. The same, but already sanded and currently disassembled.
She used to wear Illusion Spirit jointed hands but I will change them for Doll Legend jointed hands (with long nails).

Edit on December 2017 : I also have a second female oni geisha in progress. It's Tsuyu's sister, Hisame. She is an ANS Green Pill on Dollzone body!

Edit on September 2018 : I have a third Oni girl now. Tsuyu's daughter, called Doi Kinuko. It's a Dollmore Mio on (currently on layaway) Dollzone body.

Edit on March 2019 : I will stop adding girls to this thread someday. But not today. I decided to keep my Maskcat Xilv and to make an Oni from a different family out of her. She's called Rakujitsu. Edtit later : she is now a ANother Secret Gerda on the maskcat body.

Edit on february 2021 : hehehe... and one more Oni girl! Tsuyu's grand daughter, Nametsukusu. She is a modified Dollmore Seol-a on Dream Valley body.

Edit on August 2021 : this is the LAST addition, promise! I've bought an ANS Qing Wan 2019 and ordered her a body, and she will be Tsuyu's and Hisame's mother. ^^'

Edit on February 2024: I wanted to add a new girl, and wanted no more than 6 oni girls. So I sold Hisame.

Right know I'm still searching ideas for her tattoos (irezumi like tattoos). I have a lot of ideas but I'm not sure of what I'll keep for her.

Of course you can
I used Ladoll (white paste), a mix of Ladoll and Woodformo (brown paste) for the mask. For the upper teeth and the tusks I used a brown epoxy paste. I cannot give you its name because it's all in japanese/chinese/something else and I can't read it

 

It's a wooden paste (don't know if "clay" is the right word as it's not clay. It's harder than Ladoll when it is dry, but has a strange touch. It is rough. That's not very pleasant when you work with it. That's why I mix it with Ladoll (half of woodformo and half of Ladoll).
I bought it years ago on a website called "doll paradise" or something like that.

Ladoll is ultra easy to work with, very soft and (too much) easy to carve. It's too breakable at the end, that's why I use Ladoll+woodformo and to of the first Ladoll layer. Epoxy like milliput is far more resistant, I always do teeth and thin parts in it. And I never broke something that was make in this brown epoxy paste.
I do not like to work with epoxy a lot. It sticks on hands/gloves >__< and I find it hard to sand or carve once hardened.

About project journal over masks, I'm trying to make one for my half mask full of teeth (for my cyberpunk girl). Sadly I don't work often on it as I don't really know where I'm going with this mask

Oh my god! I let this thread without news for an eternity! I have not work on Tsuyu, my ANS Narcissus, but I recently begin an Oni mask. Pictures soon!
I also bought a new ANS head (name means something like Green Pill, but I absolutely don't understand Chinese so I'm not sure that's a good translation.

This new girl will be Tsuyu little sister. She's named Hisame, is WS and will be put on a Dollzone body (the new one, BBsomethingIdon'tremember).
I've already made her wig. This is a picture of this wig shown on Tsuyu:

She's also a red female Oni, so I post the begining of her face-up here!

Here are the explanation in my awful english!
I've made two acrylic inks mixes:
N°1 = 1x scarlett + 1x carmine + 1x burnt sienna + a lot of water
N°2 = 2x carmine + 1x cyan + a lot of water (around 10 time more water than colors)

I roughly apply both of them very diluted with toothbrush on the whole face.
I use them 4 more times on the cheks with less and less water. I use kitchen towel in order to erase the unwanted paint under the eyes and on the nose.

Once it dried, I work with pastels.

I apply flesh, pink, red, ocher and a little of violet pastels with a cotton bud on the cheeks.
I use a brush on the rest of the face. I apply violet and flesh pastels under the mouth, under the nose, on the eyebrows arch.
I use violet, rasberry pink and brown on the lips. More brown inside the mouth.

I apply red on the eyelids and under the eyes. I add a little of black at the external corner of the eyelids.
I put blue and white pastels at the internal corner of the eyes and some at the corner of the mouth.

I use the n°2 mix in order to paint stikes on the lips.

I put red pastel on the horns and some violet and flesh around them.

I seal this step with tamiya TS80.

Step two for Hisame's face-up!

I darken the cheeks with the toothbrush and the two acrylic mixes. When it's dry, I apply pastels with a cotton bud : more red than before, plus flesh, ocher and violet. I open blank in the pastel with a rubber.

Still with a cotton bud, I apply a little of flesh and pink on the forehead.

With a brush, I add a lot of red on the eyelids. I darken the external corners of the eyes with black and brown pastels.

I also darken the nose and the eyebrow arches with brown, violet and flesh pastels. I did the same under the mouth.

I put some red on the upper lip and brown on the lower lip as much as inside the mouth.
I paint small strokes on the lips in white acylic ink and in the n°2 mix.
I paint the teeth in white acylic.

I also paint dark circles around her eyes with both mixes. I enhance them with white paint.

I paint details on the horns with both mixes + white. I add pastels like in step 1 : red on the top, flesh and violet around.

I seal again with tamiya TS80.

I'm sorry I didn't take pic of step 3. But it wasn't very interesting, I have only darken the red area and the shadows.


Step 3 :

I add two layers on the cheeks with the n°1 mix applied with the toothbrush.
Once it's dry, I put more red pastels on the cheeks, with a little more of flesh and pink around the red.


I put red pastel on the eyelid + black on the external corner.

I add two spot of red pastel on the upper lip.
I apint again the teeth in white acrylic ink.

I darken the eyebrow arches with violet and brown pastels.
I put red pastel on the chin.
With a black watercolor pencil I draw eyeliner. I paint a red line above the black ones.

I fix it with tamiya.


Step 4:

I paint the eyelashes in black acrylic ink.
I paint more strikes on the lips with the n°2 mix and with pure red acrylic ink. I add a little of details in white, too.

I add white dots on the dark circles under the eyes.

I put more red pastel on the eyelids, on the cheeks and on the chin.

I paint white details on the horns.

I finish with the eyebrows painting! I draw them with watercolor pencil, then I paint them in black acrylic ink.

I seal all of this with tamiya!

Asd the weather is rainy/snowy thoses dazys, I'm working on the Oni mask. I model it on Hisame's face, but I manage to do it also wearable by Tsuyu (her horns are higher than the mask forehead)

Of course I broke one ear ands two teeth in the process. That's absolutely normal, I can't make a mask without breaking parts of it during the process!
The ear is already fixed and I will redo the teethwhen I'll make all the missing teeth/fangs.

I didn't like the sketches I've made for Tsuyu's tattoo (in page 1). So I've done something totally different! She has an angel fighting an Oni in the back, an other angel and an other Oni in front, plus two dragons head on the chest. The dragons' bodies will be on her arms.

I begin Tsuyu's new faceup!

I apply red on the eyelids and under the eyes. I add a little of black and brown at the external corner of the eyelids.

I use the n°1 mix in order to paint strikes on the lips. I paint white strikes on the unpaint part of the lips.

I put red pastel on the horns and some violet and flesh around them.

I seal this step with tamiya TS80.

 

Step 2 for Tsuyu!

​

I darken the cheeks with the toothbrush and the three acrylic mixes. When it's dry, I apply red pastel with a brush under the eye and on the cheeks.
I add red pastel on the eyelids too. I darken the external corners of the eyes with black and brown pastels.
Then I paint an eyeliner line in black acrylic ink on both eyes. I alsol paint eyelashes in black.

I darken the nose with flesh, pink and violet pastels. I add brown, violet and flesh pastels under the eyebrow arches. I did the same under the mouth.

I put some rasberry pastel on the lips. I paint small strokes on the lips in white acylic ink and in the n°1 mix.
I paint the teeth in white acrylic ink.

I also paint dark circles around her eyes with n°1+n°2 mixes. I enhance them with white paint.

I put more red pastel on the horn, than I paint details with n°1+n°2 mixes + white.

I seal again with tamiya TS80.

 

Step 3:

​

I paint the eyebrows in black acrylic ink.

I put red pastel on the eyelid + black and brown on the external corner. I paint a white line on top of the eyeshade and I add white spot with a tooth pic.
I add red on the cheeks/under the eyes. I darken the area with the eyelashes in brown and black.

I darken the eyebrow arches with violet and brown pastels.
I darken a little the chin with violet pastel. I put rasberry pastels on the lips and brown inside the mouth. Then I paint the teeth in white acrylic.

I seal it one last time with tamiya TS80.
