Feedback for ebay user MagicTailor.

Feb 6, 2007

    1. I purchased a wig from her around a month ago, she states on the listings that she sends the items next day recorded delivery.
Anyway a few days went by and I began to worry after seeing the bad feedback on this thread, I emailed her and stated that if it didn't arrive on the monday (I think I emailed her on the thursday) I would open up a paypal dispute. I received the wig on the saturday.
It would seem that if you push you get your item. So, my advice would be not to wait and see but specify that you want to receive the item on Xday and if you do not receive it or do not receive a tracking number to file the claim. Do not close the claim until such time as you have received your item.
Its a shame she has such nice items in her shop, meh :|

    2. I got my money back.
I never got any more e-mails or answer from them. No explanation whatsoever. But thankfully I didn't wait long enough for the dispute to be too late. And I got back the money thanks to Paypal.

    3. Just to add fuel to the fire. I ordered a pair of boots advertised as Hound sized. Got them in a couple of weeks (and I live just down the motorway from her). They look lovely, esp for the money, but they were in no way Hound sized! I tried to get them on and tore a pair of socks and bust both zips in the process (the latter wasn't very difficult to do as they the zips were pretty shoddy). I have emailed her but have yet to receive a reply. I have to say that I am not really expecting one as I have emailed her twice before about other items and got no reply. I'll give it a few more days and then open a dispute.

This is a real shame as I was so pleased to find a UK seller of reasonably priced BJD stuff. In fact, I was so pleased that I didn't bother to look at her feedback, which is patchy, to say the least. A bit of a gamble.

Ah well. We live and learn!

    4. sorry to hear about that madammaumau -- we just recently cannibalized the pair of boots that self-destructed from MT, here, for laces and buckles and D-rings and such. dunno what we'll do with the boots themselves, now.

    5. Good idea, but rather cold comfort as I REALLY like the boots (they are the closest I've found to the New Rocks that I wear!). I have emailed her again as, reading back on this thread, it sounds as though she has sent the wrong sized pair of boots before (I measured mine. They are advertised as being 9 cm inside length, but mine are 8.5 cm at the most. DEFINITELY the wrong size). Let's see...

    6. I purchased a pair of boots around 6 months ago and all went alright. Then, around two months ago, I purchased and paid another pair of boots. I'm still waiting for them to arrive and I'm really fed up of this. The seller doesn't even reply my mails. So I left a negative feedback for her and claimed to paypal. I'm awaiting for the problem to be solved.

    7. Alright, I paypal returned to me what I had paid. So issue is fixed now :)

    8. I have never had trouble with them, but I am in the same country as them so who knows.

    9. I'm in the same country as Magic Tailor, and the service I received was appalling. Four weeks waiting for items to be sent out, they never answered emails, when I finally got my parcel it was one item short. I emailed, and emailed, and emailed. Nothing. Eventually I got a response, saying that the item was out of stock and I would receive it when it came back into stock. I honestly believe this was just an attempt to hold me off claiming the money back from paypal as we were fast approaching the 60 day point, behaviour which borders on fraud as far as I'm concerned.

Eventually I left very bad feedback and claimed the money back on the item I didn't actually receive.

I will never use Magic Tailor again. Rubbish.

    10. I ordered from Magic Taylor early this year for a trio of MSD sized sneakers. I received them within two weeks and I like them a lot. However I had sent an email asking a question and didn't get a reply tho. But I didn't mind as I was happy with the little hightops. My niece wants me to buy a pair of orange MSD sized sneakers for her incoming doll and I told her I would NOT do it after checking the feedback. I am looking at it now, and the seller has one third of their total feedback for the past 30 days showing as negative or neutral. And the complaints are pretty much identical as the ones listed in this thread. With a 33% chance of not getting the stuff after I pay for it, I feel that it's just not worth putting out the money. I will ask in the marketplace or try to find another seller with a similar item.

    11. Over the past year I have had several good transactions with Magic Tailor, so thought nothing of doing a BIN for two belts on November 8. However, I have still not received the belts and have written to them three times in the past week regarding the status of my order and have recived ZERO response.

My next letter will be to inform them that if I do not have my items by a specific date, which I will give them, then I will leave negative feedback.

I am really disappointed after having previously had very good experiences with this seller.

    12. I purchased a pair of boots from the Ebay store a few months back and everything went fine, they arrived within a few days. I guess I was pretty lucky by the looks of it!
      xXx

    13. Well, my belts finally did arrive, after a month of waiting and many emails to ask about the status on them.

I never received any sort of reply to my mails, but I am glad I finally got the belts.

I don't know if I will order from them again, even though I like so much of their stuff.

    14. i never got the right boots from magictailor. they sent the wrong ones and promised to send the right pair ASAP, but the right ones never showed up.

    15. ps- i ordered them in july :(

    16. I should have checked around for a thread like this before I impulse bought. On November 23rd, I purchased jeans, a shirt, stockings, and five pairs of sneakers from Magic Tailor. As of today, I figured it was reasonable to send mail through eBay. I'm going to wait and see if I get any responses, but if it hits December 23rd and I don't hear anything then I will dispute.

    17. Ginkage: send her an email. That's how I got contact with her.

    18. I sent her one through eBay but I'll try the email that came up in the PayPal info. Thanks for the tip.

    19. wow, I'm definately not buying from them again.
Well for me I always check feedback on every ebay seller and especially when it comes to outfitting my dolls.
I've bought two wigs from them and recieved them just fine, but seeing this and all the problems I saw on their feedback and in this thread I doubt I'll buy from them again.

I know the Divadoll said she had a few problems with them when it came to buying clothing and such, but she said wigs came through just fine.
      :/

sorry you've had so much trouble.

    20. Wow! Sorry to read about all of these problems!

I don't remember commenting before, but I bought a pair of SD boots from this user a couple months ago, and aside from a tiny dirty spot (that came off easily) on the side of one, there was no problem with the transaction.

Still, looks very hit or big big miss with Magic Taylor, so I doubt I'd use her again, just to be on the safe side.

    21. Update: Guess what showed up in my mailbox today? :P Still, no response to emails and even if Royal Mail is screwed up in sending there should at lest be some notification to the recipient that you've sent something their way. At least everything is in one piece.

Doubt I will buy from Magic Tailor ever again.

    22. I was poking through Ebay.ca tonight, looking for wigs and pants for my twins. One of the things I noticed was that Magictailor is no longer showing up in the results. Curious, I went searching for the store and I found it, and currently there are no items listed in it.

Just wanted to pass it on. Maybe it's a reorganisation, maybe it's something else. But I hope that everyone who still have outstanding orders do get their items or their money back.

    23. I got the wrong size of boots. And one zipper wasn't funktioning. After several weeks of waiting. The auction on ebay ended and was paid for on 28th October. Guess what doesn't exist in ebay anymore? The auction. And paypal-protection (as a way to get a reaction from her) isn't possible anymore as the 45 days for it are over. I wonder if that is the reason she always takes several weeks to send the items...

I really can't recommend that seller. If you have still missing items - hurry up to file that paypal-complaint.

    24. Wow I'm really surprised! I bought from them a while back for a friend and it was fine... but after reading ths I certainly wont be again... thanks for the heads up

    25. Not only are there no items, they are now showing up as "Not a registered user"...

After reading this and seeing they're no longer registered, I'm glad I didn't buy the items I had been looking at. I think the only reason I didn't order them at the time was because of all the negative feedback that was piling up, so this makes me doubly glad I didn't.

I hope everyone gets their things or at least a refund!

    26. Did anyone notice that there is a new ebay seller with the name dollfashionuk
      from Great Britain?

The pictures in the auctions are from Magic Tailor. Is this the same seller,
      only using a new name?

    27. Same seller: dollfashionuk is magic tailor
They even misspelled their own company name in some of the photos and are claiming to have once been " the No.1 Seller of BJD accessories on Ebay." I don't know about that, but from the feedback DoA members have been leaving them here from last time around I wouldn't trust that statement to be true.
This seller has a reputation of stealing other company's designs and not following through with orders. They state that they "stoped trading for a while and focused on wholesale business". Their feedback under this new name starts on November 10th, so they haven't been back in business for long at all. So far their feedback looks good, so they must be on their best behavior, but I would beware of dealing with them.
