I have a Pipos Curo on layaway with them right now. They responded quickly to my questions, and so far I have been really happy with them.
I bought some dollheart boots and shoes from them before (WAS SOO HAPPY! They had the two pairs I had been wanting for ages and ages but could never find because they were always sold out everywhere else!). They were some of the friendliest people I've ever worked with. Definitely recommend them.
I also have been buying from them. My only issue is that there is no really good way to track the status of a layaway order aside from pestering them via email. Or if there is, I haven't found it (which is also entirely possible! ). Aside from that I find them to be excellent to work with!
They ship really fast too. I ordered my Elfdoll Red and some clothes on a Wednesday, but there was an error with the clothing so I told them I wanted another outfit on Friday morning. Both the outfit and the doll arrived on that Monday, way earlier than I expected since the order was coming all the way from Washington state to Washington DC!!
I have a doll on layaway from Kathy and Leo. Kathy is quick with her email replies, and she doesn't mind answering my questions. I have their site as one of my favorites. Once my doll is paid off ( this weekend! Yay!! ) I might end up putting another one on layaway.
Dolls and Friends is the best. Kathy and Leo are wonderful. I have ordered many dolls outright, on layaway and pre-order. The dolls all ship as soon as they arrive to the store. They have a super easy payment system including for layaway. I can't say enough about them...

I can't believe I haven't posted a review here- I've had nothing but fabulous transactions with Kathy and her crew of dollie-elves (yes, Leo is really an elf-- that's the rumor I'm starting). So here is my feedback for Dolls and Friends. I started out small- I had a US bjd dealer before D&F but she was out of the teeny little headcaps for the Elfdoll Tinies and I needed some. I contacted D&F, she had two available and I was treated like my little $4 sale was just as important as a big sale. That impressed me. When my 'regular' US dealer got out of the business, I started giving almost all my doll business to D&F, even tho' they are all the way across the country from me. I've ordered whole Biggie-dolls, whole tiny dolls, a couple of minis-- lots of headless bodies, parts, wigs, eyes, outfits. I'll spare you all the individual transactions because I would have to go into two posts- but I'm a sucker for Elfdolls. (if you want me to name them all, PM me LOL) D&F runs a very professional shop and online business and I know that mistakes happen (no one being perfect, after all), but they've always made things right and gone out of their way to keep me, the customer, happy. Their communication is great and I've always gotten an answer to any dumb question I've asked. Layaway is glorious and I've used it a lot because this hobby is exPENsive. and they happily will take Paypal without adding extra fees. I'm a happy, satisfied customer.

Exactly. We screwed up. To be honest, we're still not sure exactly what happened. We're usually better at this, but saying that doesn't make a mistake like this any better for the person on the receiving end. I know Kathy's apologized to you privately already, and I'll do it again here publicly. Order status tracking's a great idea, though surprisingly difficult for individual and smaller retailers. I know I appreciate it when I'm wondering where my Amazon order is. Again, I know it doesn't help in the current situation, but I have been looking into making something like that available on our website somehow. Anyway, just wanted to publicly acknowledge our mistake and apologize.
Yep, and that's why I posted that I didn't know quite how to characterize it. It was obviously a glitch, especially given the practically instantaneous arrival of the desperately-desired Leeke Sweet that was a Christmas gift last year ************ PS I just killed off the other one as it was pointed out to me by a good friend that it came across MUCH more negatively than I had intended. I was mostly just so surprised that something like this could happen that I felt I needed to say something. And actually, maybe it serves as a good reminder to all of us that we *aren't* dealing with huge companies here and maybe should cut people a tad more slack than I apparently did. It's easy to forget that and expect machine effiiency everywhere. My apologies if I offended anyone.
That would be awesome if you could impliment that. I feel awkward having to email them to possibly see if my Feanor is in yet, or how much I have paid on it. I feel like I'm bothering you guys emailing, or wasting your time. Itd be great to be able to just look it up online.

I recently did a pre-order for the Dollheart Dusty Rose Fer outfit (SD13 girl sized). I ordered in Sept, and the outfit came into stock in Oct. I got an e-mail as soon as the item was in stock, with a choice of shipping. The item was shipped within a day of that, and I got it in the mail super-quickly! Dolls And Friends is a lovely store to deal with. Kathy is helpful and friendly. I have absolutely NO complaints, and only POSITIVE feelings about the transaction. Thank you! I've had great buying experiences with Dolls and Friends! All positives and no complaints. Hmmm....ordered Unidoll Jace, Ark, their outfits, hands, armor; Elfdoll June; and Notdoll Lucy. My most recent order was August 2007. Trying to resist another for a bit....LOL. Quick communications and easy to buy....I just whip out that plastic. If I have any questions....I get quick answers from Kathy and Leo. My Lucy was in stock and shipped right away. All of my other orders were 'preorders'....so there was the usual wait periods from the companies....but D&F shipped to me as soon as things arrived in stock.
I just received My CH LJ-Hades from them. They.Are.AMAZING!!! Their e-mail questions are quick and helpful and the phone number they give REALLY works so you can call them with a concern and they don't think (or at least don't treat you...) your crazy ^_^;; Highly Recomend!!

I bought my first doll from Kathy and Leo last year. An Angelregion Little Fair Cien boy. Now I have Tohaku as well as several other dolls. Since then, I've purchased a wig not shown on their site from For My Doll and I'm currently in the process of paying off my DIM Achernar that I have on layaway. Kathy is such a wonderful person to deal with and I definitely recommend her every chance I get when someone wants a doll but doesn't have all the money up front. Regardless of what's on their site, they're happy to order something you don't see up there. I have a friend that's getting a Dollmore Sweet Memory Issac on layaway, so if you don't see it...just ask and they can order it. My husband has an aunt in Washington where they're based out of...I'm hoping to one day go over there with my dolls. I want to meet Kathy and thank her for everything.

Dolls and Friends are the BEST!! Over the past few years I have purchased clothes, wigs, Serendipity Cumi, and most recenly 3 Dollheart outfits. Kathy, Leo and everyone there are just so warm and genuine. The monthly doll meetups are a delight! Emails, confirmations, Shipping, everything business related, are all fast, responsive and friendly. Their enthusiasm and impeccable taste for all things doll, is amazing!
I ordered a Serendipity Valencia last year on a short layaway, and it was a smooth transaction. I got emails quickly and they very extremely nice! This year for Christmas I got a giftcard to their store from my Mom. I used it later in the day to order a jacket and a pair of hands. The only email I recieved as the automated email saying I had placed an order. A week later on Friday I hadn't heard anything from them and there was no packages for me, so I emailed through the site. I got a quick response that the package had been sent to a different customer with the same last name and that once they got it back they would send it out immediately, and also they did email back on the 26th but apparently it didn't go through. I replied and said OK, but I was dissapointed, and emailed them back about it. Again, I got a quick response, and they apologized again. The next day I got an email saying they got the order back and would post it the following day (Monday 1.7.08). They also emailed on Monday to say it had been mailed out. A couple days after this they offered a wig, a pair of eyes, or a pair of shoes since the order had been sent to the wrong place, I picked a pair of boots that were on sale. Both packages arrived today. Overall, I can say they are the nicest people, very friendly. I'm not sure how they sent it to the wrong person, mistakes happen. I wish they had a way to track things better, maybe online or something. And in the future I'll likely buy from them again, but I'm just putting this out there for buyer reference.

I have heard lovely things about Dollsandfriends, so I put a Soulkid Miryu on lay away with them. Communication was very friendly and my questions were answered promptly. She was the last Miryu so I asked about the wig and eye colour, which were described as random (always the case with BJD!) Imagine my surprise when they were randomly just exactly what I had hoped for. I expect to pay her off early, but it is wonderful to have the option of taking six months. That is a great luxery. I had bought a doll privately from Jennifer in the Marketplace here on DOA, and she was so great to deal with I thought I should try the shop...and I am very glad I did.
Ive bought a few dolls from Dollsandfriends now and their service has always been wonderful. They have always replied to emails quickly and their layaway service has allowed me to buy dolls I really love. I arranged with them to have a regular amount taken out every two weeks until I have paid off the layaway and they were happy to do this for me. I cant recommend them enough as they have always provided me with a wonder and personal service. Ive never had any problems with their shop and I am sure if I did it would be fixed right away.
I've pre-ordered from them two separate times, once for two of the Chocolate Vampire tinies from I think orientdoll, and another time for a pink "Little Witch" dressed baha. Both times I put a deposit down with Paypal and then paid off the rest when the doll arrived a few months later. I didn't have to use the layaway option either time since it was pre-order and I had the money by the time dolls arrived, but it is a helpful option for people who may need a little more time to pay. Kathy has always been very helpful, great at communicating and fine to work with. I definitely recommend Dolls and Friends

Out of the 14 BJDs I own, I've gotten 8 of them through Dolls and Friends, nevermind a wig and a pair of eyeglasses. They're courteous, pleasant to deal with, incredibly friendly, and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy. I've only dealt with Kathy and Jennifer, but if the rest of the people there are as great, it really makes me sorry I can't go to the store in person. In fact, I'm trying to figure out how it would take to get the money together to order another 5 or 6 dolls from them!

I'm not sure if this helps but I went to the store real time and they where so nice! I payed in cash for Pendragon and left very happy. They helped me pick out a few wigs and included a little swim suit for free!
What did you order? A Doll in Mind Flowne with faceup, plus some pairs of underwear and some stockings and tights. When did you order? Way back in March (did a layaway, plus the DiM dolls take awhile to go out...) How was the communication? Awesome! There were a few odd lapses where it took a few days for a reply, or I'd be getting messages back in five minutes and then it would take five hours, but overall A+. How easy was it to pay? Very easy! Just wish they had a system where I could check the balance instead of having to bug them for it. ^^; How long did it take to ship? Well, there was a mistake with my shipping, and they kind of... What did you order? I pre-ordered Dollheart's Splitting outfit for SD/SD13-girls. When did you order? Sometime in the beginning of May. The preorder was one month in advance so I got my items last week. How was the communication? Great, I got answers to my mails a day after I sent them. How easy was it to pay? Very easy, I paid trough Paypal. How long did it take to ship? About 2 and a half week with International Priority Mail. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Very much so, Dollheart's products are always wonderful and incredibly detailed while the price is very reasonble for a full outfit with lots of different parts. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, exactly the same! Were you satisfied with the product? Yes! I love it! And I'll definitely order from Dolls&Friends again.
