This is our diorama for Mifotvorci spring event. Here are two persons who existed in real Russian history in the middle of XVI century: tsar (king) Ivan the Terrible and oprichnik (gurdian) Fedor Basmanov. Due to 500 years divide us from that moment we do not know particularly about everything happened that time but we tried to create something looking like real costumes and interior. This is the first time we made the full custom of two dolls: hair, makeup, eyes, modifications, blushing, accessories, clothing and shoes plus diorama. Just Fedor’s rings were created by our dear hobbymate Rangvar. That was incredible experience and we hope to continue working on our national historical costumes ♡ • Ivan the Terrible — Demiurge Dolls Hero • Fedor Basmanov — Dollshe Diana modded Ivan the Terrible is one of the most controversial ruler in Russian history. On the one hand he completed the unification of separate principalities into a country and made the supreme power strong, patronized the merchants, doubled the territory of Russia, defended the country from nomads etc. On the other hand he was cruel, paranoid, religious fanatic; he found betrayal and conspiracies everywhere. Many innocent people fell victim to suspicion. He tortured and executed thousands of people (not as many as in Europe at that time, for example, but enough to be Terrible for Russia). As a result of the oprichnina, the economic was ruined, moreover, he did not leave a viable heir, and after his death the Time of Troubles came for Tsardom of Russia... And the overall view of Tsar Ivan IV the Terrible and oprichnik Fedor Basmanov and part of chambers interior. Thank you for watching!
What amazing work!! I adore the historical costumes and the dolls look ready to come to life. The attention to detail takes my breath away.
Fascinating dolls depicting fascinating historical figures. Their costumes look really intricate and beautiful and Ivan's hair and beard look almost real!
Just amazing! The costumes are gorgeous. I want the boots in my size lol. Your dolls are always wonderful. Thanks for sharing them.
@confidencealive thank yoy! It was my first work dedicated to Russian History, and I was excited with the idea of costumes @Scincidae thank you so much! I love the idea of summet furcoat Fedor wears. And yes, I am satisfied with this beard @Dreamweaver56 thank you for watching! Ean, I'd like to have those boots too @cthulhu thank you! Probably my work looks less reach than real costumes - I saw them in museums, and they are literally covered with precious materials - but hope it looks close enough ^_^ @Arengil thank you!
Wow, you did a gorgeous job on the faceups and outfits! Love all the detailing! It does look like a diorama from a museum.
Wow, this is amazing. The sheer detail on the dolls is incredible, and so very well done. They look so real.
Wow! I have to say that Fedor Basmanov's doll version looks absolutely stunning. I agree with everyone else, the outfits are so intricate and detailed, down to the rings and the buttons. I mean the diorama is fantastic, but I'm just mesmerized by his clothes. You're so talented!
I've been following you on Insta for a while now, but I think it's more fun to make real comments here! Great work, congratulations, the result is superb! It must take a lot of experience and time !
@Honqann oh, thank you so much, I am burning in shy! So happy with your feedback! @IndigoFrogs thank you so much!
You made an excellent project! It's the first time I see hair like Ivan's the Terrible. Fedor's clothes are truly mind blowing
@Le Sombre Soleil thank you so much! I am proud of how Ivan's hair look, it was the second time I tried something like that, and it is a success for me Oh, I spent lot of time learning 16th century fashion, and I am so happy you found it good!
