I don't have so much experience with different companies, and they have all been good. But I think Luts is my favorite. They have so many cute sculpts in YOSD size which is my favorite, a good selection of clothes, and I like the feel of the resin. The bodies just feel good for posing.
CP~ I like stylized dolls and they remind me of when I was first looking into the hobby. I remember so many of them being "new" and I couldn't afford any of them. So as an adult, I get to indulge the inner child in me by buying as many of them as I want. Peakswood~ I don't have any of these beautiful dolls since I keep missing their releases. However, I'm obsessed with their large lips and dreamy faces. They also offer the "monster" hands that are incredibly cool!
Since I started looking at dolls, I've always been drawn to LUTS. Originally I thought my first doll was going to be a LUTS Blanchet but then the Delf Clary came along and that changed fast lol. Even now after looking at more companies, I'm still looking at which LUTS dolls I want next and I already have two in mind for after my next planned doll purchases X'D
Definitely Dream Valley. *eyes all my incoming dolls* Their resin quality and posing ability are wonderful and their unique and surreal sculpts appeal to me so much.
It's hard to pick for me. Without PlumeDoll, I never would've gotten into BJD -- their small, simple, inexpensive anthro dolls really appear to my aesthetics and to my pocketbook. They ended up being a gateway drug to a wider world of dolls, and I'm very thankful for that! But I also do love Dream Valley. I guess I'll have to wait for my first Dream Valley order to arrive before I know for sure!
I used to think that ringdoll was my favorite bjd company. Now it's pygmalion. Pygmalion's sculpts are so magnetizing to me.
I love Soom so much, only their style. Soom's quality is really unstable. Now Volks is my No.1. I really appreciate their style and quality. Quite expensive but worthy. Also, I'm impressed by Serenadedoll's style.
I don’t really have a favorite company- 8? are represented in my collection and there are things I love about all of them. That said, I have such a soft spot for Luts. I always admired their old CP Delf sculpts when I joined the hobby (and now I own 2!), plus their others are just so sweet. When I was in the hobby for the first time, I owned 3 of their sculpts and I adored them. I have since sold some and bought others and I just have the warm fuzzies about them as a company.
I did love CROBI before, but they don't have new doll for a long time, and just sale same dolls with different face up. Now, SWITCH is my new Favorite one.
I couldn't decide, but my favorites definitely include Soom, Loong Soul and Ringdoll. Also Doll Chateau but I've never had a doll from them.
I don't have one single favorite. And my favorites don't fully match the ones I bought from. Like, I have a Soom doll, I love their dolls, but I often criticize their business model. I have a Spiritdoll but I don't think I would have the nerves to place an order again. Or Switch... From artistic point of view, they rock, but they really test my temper. Art does not justify everything for me. Some of my favorites are Crobidoll, LUTS, Immortality of Soul, Sadol and FreedomTeller, Angell Studio, Iplehouse... If I ever bought a female doll, she would be an Iple, no doubt. Do you decide on your favorites only based on the sculps and quality, but do you factor other viewpoints?
LoongSoul has been my all time favorite, I love almost every single one of their dolls. I also love LittleMonica and Luts a lot, their resins are so high quality
I love Iplehouse dolls, specifically because they are not thin like a lot of other dolls so I guess they would have to be my favourite company for that reason alone. Fairyland is another company whose dolls I really like a lot. I don't spend enough time in the hobby to have discovered enough about some of the smaller companies.
My favourite companies has to be volks and dream of doll. Pretty sculpts and amazing fullsets. Wish dod was still in business.
it is definitely difficult to choose a favorite brand, i have had different types of bjds in different sizes and brands, among my favorites are luts, fairyland, akagidoll and doll in mind.} each one has something special for me, for example in luts I love the bodies and the type of resin, it feels super soft and of good quality, they are the ones that change the least over time, the resin is very resistant. as for fairyland i love the faces of the dolls, the size of the little hands of the pukifees and how tender and poseable they are. I love that the SD's are so big and the bodies are very cute, the only bad thing I see is that the faces are too similar to each other. of DIM I love their faces, they are very delicate and super expressive, they make me think they are real people, they are really beautiful, the resin is perfect and I have not noticed color changes over time, there are bodies that I do not like the joints but I think that would be the only flaw that I find them then I think without fear of being wrong that my favorite house is DIM, a pity that already closed.
If you like Iplehouse because they're not thin, you should check out SartoriaJ. Their dolls are very curvy. Well for heads - I'm going with Dragonshell Dolls and Marina is a doll. For whole dolls - I guess SartoriaJ because I've got two by them.
I've been fascinated with iMdas for many many years now. I bought one a few years ago but just recently felt well enough to go and do something with her, and I can't stop staring at the iMda website, wondering if I want to buy her a sister (or two). I love the bobble-headed proportions. I basically love like half of that sculptor's dolls, which is completely unusual for me.
Dollstown is right up there. I like Souldoll, Supia and Soom too. I used to like Unidoll when they were around. My favorites tend to be in flux.
My top 3 would be Asleep Eidolon, Soom and Fairyland. I love fantasy dolls and I think AE and Soom are great to provide this kind of characters, and I have always been inspired by Fairyland dolls. I love seing other people's dolls and they are a great source of inspiration to me (I also found out about BJDs with a MiniFee Chloe so I have a certain attachment to the company for that reason).
I've been obsessed with Korean doll companies lately, my recent favourites are Lemoon, Kanadoll and Prime Frame! Many years ago I started off really loving Switch, Fairyland and Dollzone.
I love Iplehouse for their realism, their beautiful sculpting (especially hands and feet), the weight of the dolls, and the ability to order extra parts! On their website! With no begging! Well, except for heads, of course. Can't buy those heads separately. However, I am still in search of that holy grail - a fashion-type doll with gorgeous and realistic sculpting, amazing posing, and beautiful articulation, without veering into the almost grotesque. Some dolls have more joints than the weight of the bodies can handle (in my humble opinion), and they always look hunched (shoulders up to ears, torso bent over from 4-5 joints). Some people take the realistic genitalia idea and just run for the hills with it. When I can see internal body parts in a picture on my cellphone - it feels like you've gone too far. I'm eyeing Tender Creations for that reason. It appears to tick all of the boxes. But - those dolls are really pricey, and they sell out quickly, so it's going to be a while before I can find out.
Okay so my favourites.... - Doll Leaves for MSDs - Mystic Kids for MSDs - Charm Doll for SDs (and loongsoul by extension since it's CD's sister company) - Doll Chateau for bodies - Switch for heads - Soom The Gem for all sizes - Dream Valley for pets
I also love Dream Valley - I have one SD body, and it's just gorgeous. They are also my favorite company for stringing, because the person who does it is terrifyingly strong.
I love Fairyland dolls, maybe because I don't have many others yet, but especially their face sculpts with the vampire/elf aesthetics is exactly what I'm into lol Right now I have a Minifee and a Littlefee, I'm planning for one more Minifee, another Littlefee and a Pukipuki too
There are a lot of companies that I've never owned a doll from that I have a fondness for. Resinsoul, dollzone/doll chateau, and dearmine just to name a few. I hope to get something from each of them someday!
I only own dolls from Souldoll and Fairyland so I know I like them. I have my eyes set on many other companies as well such as Supia, Sartoriaj, Doll Leaves, Dollzone and Twigling.
I've always loved Soom's head sculpts, and the boy I have is hands down my favorite doll even though he's at least 10 years old. I can't say I love their bodies because the one I have is just as old and I don't like it, but I'm sure the current one is great. I always find myself browsing for fairyland girls as well so they're definitely one of my favorites to look at, though I don't have one yet. Doll Chateau is also up there because I love their creative designs.
I'm a dollfie and loongsoul fan. with dollfie, it's cuteness and versatility. at loongsoul the details of the full sets and the faces
My top three are Soom, fairyland, and volks. I love the concepts of Soom’s and fairyland’s dolls: horse, mermaid, Alice in wonderland, etc. Volks’ dolls are simply beautiful! I can appreciate them all day, and the quality is also excellent.
I am in love with fairyland . Already have minifees , pukifee and feeple60 . I do not think that I will try for now another brand .
MYou Doll! I love almost all their sculpts, outfits, and company faceups, even their big babies which is a type of doll I generally don't particularly care for. If I had unlimited space and money, I'd shell all 7 Rozen Maidens into MYou MSD girls and buy an Iplehouse 1/3rd boy to be adult Jun. The way things are going I might end up doing it in the future anyway... I think I hear my wallet crying.
Xaga Doll and loongsoul are probably my favorites so far along with Souldoll, all their sculpts are really appealing to me!
Right now, my favorites have shifted from 1/3 to mini dolls... so FairyLand Minifee and Bimong Narae make up the bulk of my collection. To me, they are just the perfect size! I also like the Youpla sculpts a lot, and have some 1/3 grails from RingDoll.
Mine always change, but I'd say right now my favourites are Dream Valley, Telesthesia, Doll Leaves and Ringdoll!
Same here! I have two Minifees and will probably stick with purchasing from Fairyland for a while. I do also have a Withdoll Egon, which I love, but there's something about Minifees that just make them my go-to's.
I just got minifee sia fullset and I am so excited to have her . Finally I have a fairyline body to see how mermaid and doe legs looks like on a body soooo excited for my sweet minifees .
I'd have to say currently my favorite companies have to be tied between Peaks Woods and Luts, but leaning a bit more towards Peaks Woods. I love PW's stylized look and detailed face ups.
I have looked through a lot of dolls online and different companies, and although I have really found a lot of dolls pretty or cute, I would have to say my favorite company is Ringdoll. Their dolls are the most aesthetically pleasing to me and they have what I look for in a doll. This is why I only own dolls from them, ‘cause I’ve only really fallen in love with their sculpts. In fact, the reason why I got into this hobby was because I fell in love with their “Frankenstein” and their other monsters a few years ago. A true shame, I never got to buy or own one though .
Frankenstein is incredibly cool!! I also got into the hobby because of RD. You might get lucky though, cause every now and again, those monsters pop up second hand looking for new homes!
Fairyland is my favorite. I love all the options for sizes, the engineering of their jointing, and of course those lovely facial sculpts. That said though, Dream Valley is coming up a close second these days. Also, I personally don't consider BBB/RS to be cheap... affordable yes, but nothing about the quality of the dolls or their customer service is cheap.
I LOVE Huajing sculpts and factory faceups. I really want one someday! Doll Leaves has really lovely sculpts as well, and ResinSoul is affordable and comes in many resin colours. And don't even get me started on Little Monica sculpts! It's hard to pick just one!
I will probably have to say Doll Chateau mostly because their anatomical choises please me visually so much. Their dolls' bodies are so beautifully detailed and I love the uncanny vibes they have. I have never handled their dolls in real life, though. I am also starting to lean towards Popovy Sisters since their aesthetics are also very delicant and beautiful. Their dolls always look so graceful and extremely well made. I love their poseability. Owning a doll like that would be an absolute dream some day. Soom's sculpts and concepts are something that I love a lot, but I personally don't like where they've taken their thing nowadays. I used to like their dolls a lot more back in the days. Maybe it's the nostalgy for me. The current vibe they have is just not what I want, but their old dolls have a special place in my heart and they always will. Twigling's sculpts and bodies also please me. Their dolls look so different from other companies' dolls and I like that a lot. I would absolutely love to have one of their ladies at some point, there's just something very special about them to me. I also love that they make black dolls, it's very refreshing to see dolls that are not white. We need that honestly. Aaand I love Lillycat's dolls! Mostly because of their anatomy. They also have something very special about them, something that no other companies have.
A year and a half later, and Harucasting is still my favorite. The runners up have changed, though. I’m now leaning more towards Lillycat and Black Cherry Dolls. There’s also quite a few more small artists that I’d love more dolls from. I haven’t bought a “company” doll in awhile now.
All time probably Iplehouse which makes up the majority of my collection other than that I mostly own hybrids… I also love Doll Family bodies and a lot of smaller artists companies heads My favorite sculpt of all time is probably Soom Sard
My favorite company is probably DollZone - albeit i dont think i like any particular fantasy ish company mkre definitely than another !
