Wow! Fantasy Doll did a lovely job on this new sculpt. I really like the new 69cm body, too.

 

That really is a beautiful sculpt.
The only thing that puts me off is the nose...
It is too thick for me, or perhaps it is just too short anatomically? Either way he is good looking!

 

He looks fantastic! The sculpt of both the head and the body is really nice, and you really cannot beat that price. I'm happy that Fdoll is coming out with new sculpts~

I just received the new 70cm FDoll boy body and it's really nice! I'll be doing a little review of it in the next couple of days, with some resin color comparisons, if anyone is interested...

 

I'm definitely interested! I've been planning on buying one of the 70cm bodies, I'd really like to get some more info on it.

Hi everyone! Does anybody know what skin colour from fdoll would match Delf beauty white? The pale normal or the white skin?

 

I will have an fdoll girl 60cm body on the way to me within the next week. I paid for her this morning and I'm getting it from a friend. The doll will be a hybrid with a head that I sculpted myself. I hope to register as a vender once I make a viable mold of both of my heads. Is this the only thread for Fdoll, or is there another that I'm missing. I'll throw a picture up here once I get my girl in order, but the head will be LaDoll as it is my original and the color will probably be more stark than the resin, so forgive me... I only have the one for now

 

I have an F-doll Nina and I actually really like her. She is kind of a no-frills doll, but very charming and I don't have any problems with her posing. She is the older body. I think for the price this is a very nice quality doll- very solid, good resin, etc. I personally am not a fan of complicated double-jointed systems- I find the ugliness of the joint doesn't make up for the increased flexibility.

 

Hello! Looking for people with a recent Migidoll/Fdoll hybrid. I'm planning on ordering this week, and I was stumped when I saw Normal Skin and Normal Skin Pale. My Jina is alot paler/whiter than my SDF body from 08/09, and the SDF is a little more yellowy so that kind of intercepted my decision on Normal Skin [I had doubts I was thinking the right color]

Could someone help me out and let me know which is the closer match? ^^'

 

Does anyone have a newer normal skin FL Minifee head (2011 or whenever their skintone got lighter) on a newer normal skin Fdoll body? I know I've seen pictures where an MNF head matched perfectly with a Fdoll body, but the pic was from like 2008 I think and I'm not sure when MNF got lighter. I ordered a 1/4 Fdoll girl body from MoC, but I'm wondering if it'll still be a match or if the Pale Normal skin would be a better match. I'm a little worried that normal will be too dark now, but I don't want to get pale normal and have it be too light. If anyone has a newer minifee and a newer Fdoll for comparison in natural skin, I'd really appreciate it. MoC doesn't send the order to Fdoll til late July, so if I needed to change it before that, they might not mind. Would be easier than trying to trade bodies after the fact and hope the one I trade for matches. (This is my first hybrid and I'm thinking never again cuz I'm getting way too nervous about it)

 

Hey everyone Does anybody know if the Junior Delf hands will fit on the fdoll 1/3 bodies? I think they're really beautiful and want to treat my boy to something.



PS Fictfactional I ordered the normal skin for my Migidoll Jina last year and the match is perfect!

 

Hi everyone I was wondering if any one could tell me what Fdoll NS matches migidoll NS-A (the normal migidoll non-volks matching version). I am trying to figure out should I get the the normal skin or the pale normal skin.

Hmm its hard to tell just from looking at the pictures, but the Migidoll NS-A doesn't look that much lighter than the NS-B. My Migidoll head is the old normal (apparently the same as NS-B) and he's on the Fdoll normal skin body. His boyfriend is a Delf Beauty white Shiwoo who's on the pale normal body, here is a picture, I hope it can be a bit helpful:




Michael at Fdoll was really helpful when I was trying to match my Shiwoo, he even offered to match the resin colour if I sent in his head cap.

 

ive been searching everywhere, please anyone do you have any photos of nina in dark tan? as i would like to see what she looks like before buying thanks for any help

 

Anyone with owner's pics of Lionel (make up and all)? I have tried to search for owner's pics and my search is always fruitless.

Does anyone know what resin matches normal f-doll skin?

 

Fdoll normal is supposed to match Volks, if I remember correctly? I have a head on a NS Fdoll body that's supposed to match Volks oldskin (which is roughly the same color as pureskin, just a different translucency or something?)-- correct me if I'm wrong guys, I'm not a Volks owner so I'm slightly out of the loop on the lingo.
Anyway, assuming I'm right with my rambling, FDoll NS will match anything that is supposed to be a match for Volks old/pureskin.

EDIT: Right, I came in here for a reason.
I recently received a Fdoll body for one of my floaters, but I'm having difficulty getting the body to stand. It's got the original stringing and hasn't been sueded yet, and I will be sticking kips into the joints sometime tomorrow to see if that will help. Just wondering if there's anything I need to be doing/need to look out for.
Threw me for a bit of a loop, all my previous dolls stood right out of the box so for a bit I was worried that I was doing something wrong. (Still half-convinced I'm doing something wrong actually ha.)
Ease a guy's mind and toss him a few tips, yes?

 

Well, I was finding info/ pics as I am only getting the doll as a sewing model.

I got the full doll with head from a dealer's clear stock sale, will post pics of him when he arrives. He supposingly will come with a company face up.

 

I can't help you specifically with Lionel, but there are some resinmatch photos in here.
Also I have a photo of my hybrid if that's of any help, the head is Volks-matching and the body is FDoll. The match IRL is absolute.

 

Ooo. Thanks for the comparison pic. It looks really compatible with the head. Do you have plans to suede him?

 

I've just finished installing silicon kips in the legs and now the posing is definitely better-- he can actually stand now instead of buckling over like he did before. I was worried that I would have to wire the legs haha.

 

Syntheticality - Wow your boy is gorgeous! And congrats on getting him to pose better. I bought silicone kips and haven't done anything with them yet, thanks for inspiring me to get going with them!

I would also LOVE to see some fdoll tan and dark tan if anybody has these?

 

Thank you! (: Installing them was a pain, got plenty of nips in the process (hot-glue sueding is easier by far but it wears off pretty quickly), but if you have a friend who can help with restringing your body it should be less of a hassle.
(I'm a little biased, I just hate restringing haha.)

 

syntheticality, is your Fdoll body doll the regular NS or the pale NS? I just got a doll head that is supposed to match Volks and am trying to decide which one to order.

 

Mine is the regular NS. (: Pale NS is a match for Dollmore's resin, IIRC, which is a fair bit lighter. I'll have a pale NS part in a couple of months that I can do a resin color comparison with, if you're interested in that down the line. I'll crosspost it to the Fdoll resin matching thread as well.

 

Awesome! Thanks a bunch. I seem to have accumulated a box of doll heads that want to be matched up with bodies. I always think my dolls will share bodies, but that never seems to happen.

I opened my NS fdoll Lionel's package when I got home from work (He was wrapped in rolls of papers). He is not the conventional pretty/attractive boy sculpt and has quite an unusual face. The resin feel is quite ok. I feel the pink based default face up was not suitable for him too. I changed his eyes out as the acrylics that he came with were really weird looking. I am using him as a base body for sewing clothes for 70cm boys

I have a Lionel! He's a WIP at the moment, but I love him! He's the biggest doll I have, I got him blank--a body first, my sister ordered one for an older Elf Chiwoo head in NS-Y but recieved a NS-P by accident. She only saw after the period you're supposed to contact them with problems because he was a Christmas present, but FDoll was so nice and offered to exchange the body even though that time had passed. I mention this because I bought the NS-P body from her and ordered a Lionel head, and he matches perfectly, so at least in this case the resin batches were very consistent.

I've played around with him quite a bit, I don't have many pictures yet but I'm very happy with his posing. I haven't done anything to his joints or elastic. He can cross his legs without looking broken and touch his face. My sister bought another NS-Y for her Elf Chiwoo, Mata, and he looks great on it, and she's been happy with the posing too. She has some really helpful pictures; you can see some pictures of Mata in normal poses in her flickr here, and a big comparison she did of most of her boys here, where Mata is actually on the Lionel body I have now, when he was fresh out of the box. He's one of her favorites, and out of her dolls in terms of posing, one of mine too!

 

My review on Lionel: 69cm F-doll

I am ok with the basic body poses and he does feel substantially heavy. Not very detailed body sculpting but works well in my case. I will need to make adjustments for pants as he is considerably shorter than my Dollshe Orijean. Waist measurements are similiar.

Posted pics of him in my flickr and haven't really got the time to start any sewing. He was a bargain purchase for me, considering I got some clearance discount from the distributor. He is slightly lighter than Volks normal skin and he may be a good match for my Migi Ryu head.

Overall I grade him as a good starter/affordable doll. Here is another pic of him:

I would consider sending him for another repaint in the near future coz I find there is too much pink and harsh black on him. But my other dolls will take priority for now.

 

I purchased my first doll last Christmas, of 2011, which caused me to join DoA.

I love my doll, she is beautiful, but she is in need of a makeover. I ordered her new eyes, and a new wig.
I will still use my current wigs, but she needs to look more mature for a bit c:

Anyway, posing of these dolls is rather complicated, especially since I cannot get her to stand at all.
But she makes lovely sitting poses.

The faceup I got was free, and I think it is fantastic. She is a great starter doll, for sure, as long as they have a Christmas event going on! xD

 

TheMysticDragon-- Is she sueded? (: When I first got a FDoll SD body I had difficulty getting him to stand at all until I stuck some kips in the legs. Since yours is a mini and not a large doll I can't guarantee this will fix her but it might help so...

 

I have not sueded her. Haven't actually thought about that recently.
Well I did, but I couldn't remember the name of it.

I want to get an Fdoll Nina and I was wondering about the pros and cons of the single jointed and the double jointed bodies. So if anybody has their girl 1/3 bodies, what are you're thoughts on them? How is their mobility and pose-ability? Any information would be great.

I have a Angel of Dream Yuki normal skin head on the way. I wanted her to go on a male body and see that the male body for Fantasy doll, has the 9 cm neck that I would need. I saw earlier that their resin is however, a little yellower then AOD resin? Does anyone have an aod head on a fdoll body that could show me a picture of how big the difference is?

Anyone ever tried a Little Monica NS on a Fdoll NS body? I'm worried it'll be too light so i'mma try buying the Light Normal skin tone :/ Or should I just buy NS?

I have the Fdoll double jointed sd girl body and got it a alice's collection dress - which is too big. Can anyone tell me what fits better?

 

I am working on an outfit for my girl. And I like this body so much! It poses very well, the hips are really nice, the gentle flow of her tummy. Even those stuck on breast look good in the corset/ clothes. I do not understand these bodies are not far more popular. I do not like Fdoll heads very much (if at all), but this body is just great for a hybrid!

 

Has anyone tried a Dollshe head on the FD69 body?

I've got an oriental skin Saint who needs an affordable body, and while it looks like it should work, I'd love to see it first.

For everyone that wants to buy an MSD boy body - they changed the neck! Not the rest, just the neck of the body. It is a little higher and thicker! My old Dollzone Megi head didn't fit on the new neck - my DIM Annabeth head fits it better than the older body though - so I just exchanged them. My DZ Freddy2 also fits this new neck (and the body) much better - so I am probably going to get another MSD boy body this year .

Wow, that looks great! You could even add some height at the mobility joint if you HAD to have him taller. Cheaper, looks just as good, more modding options. Thanks for the heads up!!

Ah - great, the source has been found . Can you please post them as they contribute greatly? And if you can please tell me how the head fit on the neck is (and the posability after), that would be great too!

The Dollshe Saint head does not fit well as the fantasy doll neck is abit too short IMO . Limited mobility of the head unless you use a neck donut from fantasy doll.
The resin match differs and Fantasy doll would match better on Volks normal skin than on Dollshe heads.

 

KaIsUki - thank you! So I will have to keep on searching I have a pale skin Hound IM head that I would love to get a good body for. One that can actually sit and stand And necks are important to me - I don't want them too short. Thank you again for your review. It is very helpful!

Any chance of a Dollshe head fitting in the 60cm boy new body of fantasy doll?
I'm searching for a body to diminish the heigh of a Dollshe Saint, 70cm is too much for my comfort zone on sizes.

I have seen it somewhere - and it did not look good - neck too thin and short I believe. A smaller option that did look ok was the Akagidoll 66 cm body.

 

I agree with Cyador- it would not look good. However, I've seen a Saint head on a Mirodoll 68cm body and that looked good. You can even buy the shorter legs and switch them out for a 66cm doll. Good luck!

 

My very first BJD was a Fantasy Doll Tobias.
His name is Kenji and he came to me three years ago. We have been through a lot together, but he's finally close to how i see him and how he sees himself.

Sooo, I recently bought the Fantasy Doll Lionel head and the 60 cm body (his original body is too muscular for me). I love him! I love his face, but most importantly, I love his posability. He poses like a dream. Like this pose :



No, he hasn't got a shirt yet and yes, he has jointed hands. FDoll doesn't make these, so they're from Doll Leaves and not a resin match. I'm not too bothered and will maybe blush the hands a bit.

 

Congrats Rodent! Yes, they pose wonderfully, I agree! I wish the 60cm boy was a tad more muscular myself, but I can always carve or blush in extra muscles. I do love my FDoll bodies though!

 

FDoll Lionel spam!



I sold his body and now want to get the body that is supposed to go with Lionel, so he won't be a bobblehead anymore. So he's a floating head right now, haha! Are there so little FDolls around?

 

I'm not a fan of their face sculpts but I do like the engineering of their bodies. I have an FDoll body hybrid with an April Story Jayden head, if that is of interest. I have pics of an old Luts Juri/FDoll hybrid too.
