The last of my Realpuki splurges came home yesterday................Tyni in the blue gray. He's adorable. Now the wait begins for the PukiPuki's to start arriving, lol Tyni in Blue by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Someone needs to buy that tan Obi before my will power fades! I see they have a NS Tyni available...hopefully that means the one I ordered direct from CPF will ship soon.
I'm glad I already have all the sculpts available, lol. They are SO tempting. I really want them to offer Pupu's sculpt again. That's one I REALLY want and don't have.
Stay strong @JinCIncy and @Xanadu Dolls ! I confess I grabbed a Toki because a) the name and b) Obi needs a sibling. Crossing my fingers for yours to arrive soon, @antissa
Took a fun shot of my three little gray munchkins together this morning. Tyni is the blue gray from this most recent release, Obi is in the gray from his original beetle release several years ago, and Toki is in the elf gray. All 3 very different. I love them all!! Now if they would just re-release Pupu and Popo, lol. The FL Shades of Gray by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Oh my, what a handsome group they are. Are you hoping that Pupu and Popo will come in other shades of grey??
I'd take those sculpts in any colors I could get them in.............I do like the variety of having different resin colors within my group though. I don't have any in beauty white, but I have a couple in normal, a handful in tan and then these little varying shades of gray guys. Did they ever come in the purple gray? I know they did the realfee's and maybe the Littlefee's (?) in a purple/grey resin at some point I think, but I don't remember any Realpuki's being released in that color.
I'm not sure about the different colours, but I think a purple grey and a really light icy grey would suit your fivesome okay. I only have normal and tan in my group, but they make up for it in personality and mischief. See what I mean? Who but little elves get into the bath with their clothes on?
BTW I've been meaning to ask you, who made your Obi's outfit? "Get down from there!" They are a thorn in Misty (Kaka) side, and Hollow (Ara) is the naughtiest of them, he's always leading Mossy (Soso) into trouble! Anyone else have some spam to share???
Love the bathtub @Xanadu Dolls ! I got that little watermelon inspired outfit Obi is wearing from a Russian artist on Etsy quite a few years ago. I can't remember the name. It makes me sad we lost a lot of very talented artists making clothing for these littles ones with the Russia ban. And Ara is another sculpt that I missed along the way.
Really enjoying all of the darling pics of the new RPs. All of mine are either NS or white but seeing these beautiful colors I could be tempted if they’re ever released again! Little Ara is one of my very favorite sculpts. This is my Keely, Teddys twin sister.
I love Keely's wig @Jonlyn ! Hopefully they will do a re-release on some of these sculpts we haven't seen in a while, like Ara and Roro and Pupu and Popo.
Still having fun with the new little ones. Tyni has made a new friend. I got this DreamValley Bor just because I thought he would be a fun friend for the Realpuki's. A Dragon Friend by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Thank you so much! Keely’s wig is by the amazing Marie Patterson. What a difference the right wig makes! Just like getting a great hairstyle for yourself…we all know how miserable bad hair days are
I also can vouch for Marie Patterson's amazing Realpuki wigs! They stay on without a wig cap or Velcro. I have SEVERAL of her wigs! Here are 2 of 'em. Find Marie on Facebook.
Loving all the pics. Keep them coming! I finally received my shipping notice from CPF for my NS Toki & Tyni (ordered Feb 8).
Your Keely is adorable, you have styled her so well! What an amazing little dragon he is! And so tiny too! I think I have gotta get me one. Lovely wigs and so perfect for tiny fairies! Does she sell them anywhere other than FB, I don't use it, and I could really do with one for Misty, she doesn't always want to wear a hat.
@Xanadu Dolls As far as I know, Marie sells only on Facebook on her private site WeeDollyWears. For other Realpuki wigs, check DoA's Marketplace (of course), Denver Doll Emporium, Etsy, ebay, even Amazon! I've bought from other places but Marie's wigs fit the best because they're shaped specifically for Realpuki heads. Her wigs don't overwhelm tiny RPs with too much hair. The natural fibers look better and are more in scale than synthetic fibers. Can someone you know buy for you on Facebook? One idea: with hot weather coming, some of my hatless, wigless RPs will be wearing headbands with decorations that visually cover the whole head. I hand-sew embellishments (leaves, flowers, etc.) on a circle of elastic. The headbands also help keep the faceplates in place. Best of Luck!
@Answer42 Thanks for the info, but like you I have found other wigs pretty well useless for these wee ones. I might get my daughter to purchase one for me.
I carved out some time on the weekend to make a squirrelly tail and needle-felt a fuzzy belly and fuzzy inner ear bits. Big shout out to my extra strength reading glasses without which none of this would be possible Flickr link Sure wish I could figure out what I'm doing wrong trying to insert an image in my posts, but c'est la vie. Good luck to everyone waiting on shipping this week!
Toki and Kaka have arrived and are up to something! Since we've been discussing wigs that work: Toki's wig is by Marie Patterson. Kaka's wig is by TashkasBears on Etsy. Wonderful job doing their faceups! You are so talented! I love the bright red color of Toki's lips, it makes her look so cute and cheerful
I just noticed more in-stock realpukis have been added to DDE! So tempting... My Soso would like to say Hi.
I love seeing everyone’s dollies! Agh, so cute! I’m still waiting on my tan Kaka. I must admit, it’s painful to see her in stock at DDE and not have my order yet. I MUST BE PATIENT!
Darling pictures @Answer42 , @Dollquest & @Roxby ! Love seeing all of the new ones & how cute everyone styles them.
@Jonlyn Thank you! While I'm still waiting for my Fairyland order, a new-to-me RP girl arrived TODAY from ebay and she already has an admirer! Yay, Realpukis!
@nancy_schroeder_ca Roro is on the left. She has a Fairyland default faceup but I've seen other Roro faceups that are also really nice! Marie Patterson of WeeDollyWears on Facebook made her wig. Soso is on the right. I made all the clothes.
@Answer42 - I love your Roro. The clothes are great - did you get a pattern? I've been looking for patterns. (Although I have to admit I prefer crochet to knitting... Knitting does look better in this scale, but it's so fiddly for my old eyes!) And @Lemon Balm Sprite - did they all arrive at the same time? That's so lucky!! I'm still waiting for my second RP.
Yes, they all arrived in the same package. I made one order (Fairyland) as soon as they were available. No hesitation or postponing this time. I made that mistake many years ago. Now I have five different face sculpts of Realpuki. They are all so sweet and special in their own way. What I have to do now is to wait for the rest of Realpukis to be available again. Roro is on my wish list as well
The many looks of Soso. I have at least 6 Soso sculpts and no two look anything alike. Love finding just the right look & personality for each.
Oh my! What a wonderful bunch you have there! Very cute outfits too. Your Soso looks overjoyed to see her! You captured him at just the right angle, the picture made me smile. My heavens!! She so well styled, and where on earth did you find those shoes?? I can never get enough Soso, so when you have a moment to spare, how about a photo of all six together?? I'd be in Soso heaven.
@Xanadu Dolls …thanks so much…I will try to get them all together for a Soso group pic soon. Her slippers are even more beautiful than shows in this picture. My dear friend Todd made them for me. They’re butter soft leather with lace & opals!
@Fairy Milliner I developed all 3 Realpuki knitting patterns: dress, sweater and pants. My patterns are free on Ravelry and Ravelry is free to join. The dress was knit on U.S. #4/0 (1.25mm) needles, the other 2 on U.S. #5/0 (1mm) needles. I am older, too, but I use a hands-free magnifier, good lighting and a relaxed pace. Here's the RP dress and sweater in different colors: I made the headband out of a strip of 1/4 inch elastic, beads, tiny fake flowers and leaves. These adorable RPs are worth the effort!
You are so lucky to have such a talented friend, I think those shoes/slippers are simply divine. How sweet is she! Thank you so much for the info re knitting patterns. I'm a member, but haven't checked there for RP patterns. Put it down to the many senior moments I have.
@Fairy Milliner @Xanadu Dolls Search for "BJD" as well as "Realpuki". Ravelry has a character limit on titles, so I had to use "BJD" sometimes.
@Answer42 that's some talented knitting! I'm always tempted to try knitting and/or crochet for doll clothes but am afraid my brain may be at hobby capacity Soso seems like one of those faces that can show different personalities depending on the photo and I may need to add them to my tiny collection. I get to go pick up my tan Toki from the post office today!
@Aether Coffee Thank you and Congrats! I'm waiting on a tan Toki myself. Soso is also a great choice! Like @Jonlyn says, different faceups can make one faceplate sculpt look like very different BJDs. I hope you love your new Toki!
@Lemon Balm Sprite - congrats on your 3 arrivals! They are all adorable! I'm still waiting on my pre-order....one day it'll be ready for shipment! @Answer42 - your knitting is amazing! I'm going to hunt down your patterns on Ravelry. It's mighty kind of you to offer them for free. People would definitely be wiling to pay for them if you wanted. Your Roro is beautiful! And now I need one, lol! @Jonlyn - your Soso looks so angelic and pretty. Mine is ornery, hee hee. It's amazing how the same sculpt can look so different styled different ways! And I agree her shoes are incredible. Those feet are so tiny. That is some skill that went into making them! I spent a couple afternoons working on some clothes for my Soso, now named Turnip. I was planning on having an outfit set aside for when my others arrive, but at this point, they are just so very much Turnip! The first outfit I made him is his Halloween outfit. Then I made a second to perfect my pattern, and it turned out to be a clown outfit! I'll share his Halloween one first, and then his clown outfit in a post further on down in the discussion to avoid double posting. Realpuki Soso by PepperoniPizza 13BlackCats, on Flickr
