Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 21

Does anyone know where to see the updates on when new puki are released? Is it through instagram?

Ahhhh I was so tempted by Tyni in tan but the RS was my original missed out grail so I got that but now I'm wondering if I should have gotten tan. Does anyone have pics of their tan Tyni?

 

If no one shares directly there are a handful of nice pics on Flickr if you search "realpuki tan tyni". I'd been look for examples recently too.

Years ago I'd told myself to prioritize getting an Ara & doing faceups for my existing crew before purchasing any duplicate sculpts, but the random & rare availability is really making we want to throw caution to the wind & completely blow my budget! Everyone else feeling the pressure?! Tan versions were low on my priority list, but if I don't get them now I don't trust that it won't be another 10yrs before they're available.

 

I have never seen Pano in RP size, but I would sign up for one!!

Tyni was my grail - I ordered him in tan, because I love my tan Soso.
The other one I really, really want is Aki. It would be great if they would extend the range to include more (preferably ALL) the other sculpts.

I also still feel the pressure of getting Toki... He's been on my wish list as well, and I have this "now or never" feeling.

 

Yes I'm feeling the pressure too!!! We waited so long for them to be released. My only consolation is that at least this way there will be a lot more on the market potentially? I'm still tempted to make a second order for a tan Tyni, maybe a soso, Aki, obi... so many!

 

I’m also in the boat of debating getting a second toki.. or a kaka. I keep telling myself it’ll be ok but I’m so nervous about the future of these guys! I hope DDE can open orders too, that would probably push me into adding at least 1 more on layaway

 

Same!!! Who knows if this is a one off or if they'll have more?

 

So, I have a confession. I ended up buying all three that I didn't have yet - Toki, Kaka, and Tyni. (At first, I only bought Toki and Kaka, but then I went back for Tyni.) I did this primarily because I'm afraid it will be a long time before these little guys are released again. Although, it is my wish that they will eventually release more sculpts like they did wih the pukifee recently.Thank goodness for PayPal's pay in 4!

 

So I missed posting her Valentine greeting by a few days but she’s too sweet to be too upset with me!

 

@Jonlyn Absolutely precious! It’s always such a treet when you post a photo of your adorable little ones. Their special faceups are so amazing, giving each of them such unique character.

I'm kind of glad I've been on the fence about ordering. Although I want another realpuki, I'd really like to get my first pukipuki. I'm glad there is overlap so I have time to be indecisive!

 

Oh my gosh! I can’t catch a break! (Okay, my wallet can’t catch a break!) This is wonderful but I wish they’d given me a little more time! lol!

BTW, they also said that realpuki orders will close March 10th.

 

Thanks all for keeping the updates coming! I just saw on insta DDE is going to be ordering realpukis! That definitely means I’m going to be on the hook for one more… and maybe a Puki depending on who the 5 are so happy and my wallet is so scared…

 

Layaway is a blessing and a curse - I'll have to wait a couple of months anyway, so why not pay over time and get away with more budget-wise. I'm still kind of waiting, the Sarang event should be soon, right? I wonder if it will start before the 10th?

The PukiPuki release triggered the reminder that the RP preorder is up till the tenth! And I... feel the desperate need to get a Tyni. I adored her when she was first released but couldn't grab her. She reminds me of my Granny >.<; so now years later I'm torn on if I should get her in tan or NS. >.>

 

Can I just ask, are Realpukis 1/12 size?

 

That depends. The BJD world uses scales as reltive sizes. SD or 1/3 scale is fairly accurate. The new mature minis about 30cm are true 1/12 scale. Would you like a picture of a Realpuki with a mature mini or another doll?

 

No it’s ok. Thank you. I’ve been lurking on the past Realpuki forums and I’ve already seen a comparison of a Realpuki and a Pukipuki. I’m going to have to stop looking. I’ve just ordered a Realpuki Soso (I’ve already got a RealFee Soso) and a Pukipuki Ante. I adore Antes I’ve got a couple of different sized ones now. My poor wallet has never been so empty

 

I think they're closer to 1:16, but their proportions aren't really human-proportions (heads make up about 1/3 their height!) so there's some wiggle room.

 

@EmanonUK For me, 1/12 dollhouse items are too big for Realpukis, as I consider them adults. In standard dollhouses, Realpukis are child-height. For example, RP feet won't touch the floor when sitting in a 1/12 chair. But you get to decide what looks good with your RPs.

I got one! I placed my order through DDE last night for a Toki in BW skin. I am so excited to get my hands on this tiny little cutie pie! Sewing for a doll this tiny is going to be so much fun. Now I just have to wait for him to arrive!

 

It's going to be agony waiting! Any idea what month they'll ship out? I keep forgetting I have one on the way haha

So this image is in a 1/12 scale dollhouse. Off Topic Garmonsway Chris is the manly man there who is a True 1/12 human scale. Then there's a Pukifee Multihead (hawaiian shirt) who is kinda smallish but works in a 1/12 for some things, and then a RealPuki Tyni, and a PukiPuki Madeleine mod.

 

I'm so excited to order Tyni. I wish Roro was up for order too. I have Soso in tan but I'm debating getting him in NS and then that blue is so pretty too! Arggh these decisions are too hard!

Well I've made a decision: NS tyni and grey blue Toki. I already have a Toki but I like the idea of having a little Jack Frost elf.

 

Last March I ordered a Pukifee through DDE and it took 5 months.

 

I think they are actually just a little smaller. Pukipuki is 1/12. If you are looking for furniture, a lot of the dollhouse stuff will still work. They will be just like small humans in it.

 

Oh, thank you @Rosslyn i so needed this as I’m getting a Realpuki and a Pukipuki. It’s also good to understand their relationship with 1/12 scale things because I’ve also bought a dolls house for them! (And their friends?). Will I never learn.

 

Finally decided to grab a tan Toki to keep Soso company. Hopefully Toki will be a good influence, because my Soso is very mischievous. It might also be time to start planning a room box for the two of them during the waiting time.

 

I did it! I ordered myself a Realpuki Tyni in NS. I'm so excited.

 

Those two are my favourite sculpts! I had such a hard time deciding but went with Toki. A Realpuki wasn't even on my wishlist but then I made the mistake of browsing Denver Doll and saw they could be ordered, ah! So cute. I did recently order some tinies from other companies but this will be the first Fairyland doll.

 

I ordered normal skin Soso and Toki. I just couldn't resist their cute little faces, and I figured I needed at least two so they could be friends. Since I wasn't sure what the 'default faceup' actually looked like, I decided to get them blank - saving $120 was appealing as well. I'm thinking about styling them as gnomes, but maybe they'll end up imps or brownies. Anyway, looking forward to their arrival in a few months

 

So true, they should come in pairs. I wonder if there‘s still time to add to the order…

I received my tracking yesterday! Ordered direct from Fairyland 3 days short of 7 weeks ago.

My RealPuki KaKa in NS was delivered today. - Beautiful faceups on both plates. I didn't get the usual extra magnets for the plates though.

 

That's wonderful! I ordered the first day but I ordered a tan doll and a NS doll with a face-up so I expect mine to be a little later but that's great that people are already getting tracking!

 

I placed two orders about a week apart, and they both shipped this week. They are at Customs now, so I hope it won't be long.

Edit: only one shipped - they just sent me the notification twice for some reason.

 

Oh, I just love this photo. I’ve got 2 of these dragons (a White Dragon and a pink one) but they are with my Realfees, Soso (Harry) & Toki (Tilly-Mint). I’ve got a Realpuki Soso on order and it never occurred to me that Brin or Eve could look after him.

 

So excited to hear people are getting their orders and tracking numbers! Mine still says processing but I'll be keeping an eye on it

 

Curious if those already receiving shipping notifications were with face ups or had specialty resin colors?

 

Mine was natural skin, with faceups on both plates. She arrived Monday.

I just got shipping notice from FL as well for my gray Toki I ordered with a face up. Yay! Looking forward to his arrival.

 

I ordered a tan Tyni on February 10th, and he just arrived!

I also ordered a blue-grey Obi on February 15th, and I was hoping they'd arrive around the same time, since tan was supposed to take longer. However, I haven't received any shipping notification yet.

But here's Monty - I'm sure he and Toby are going to be great friends.
