Congratulations. I was going to say “hope you enjoy her as much as I do mine” but that’s silly cos I know you will.
@ReineDeLaSeine14 Fifteen! Isn't it crazy? She's looking good too- cute as ever in her little sneakers and skull-print dress. Congratulations! @Fairy Milliner Grey Ante! Great choice. Probably the one other I would have bought, had I been able to afford it. She's beautiful, and fits in perfectly. @Leo Pheonix If they don't, perhaps one of these? I'm still waiting on mine from DollyTerria, but the size 4 wig I got previously was accurate to size- could technically fit but a touch too big. @Rosslyn Huzzah!! Congratulations! May s/he make it safe and soon!
I adopted this little guy from a friend and he arrived this week with toys and tons of clothes in tow.............Opie (my choco Puki) was pretty excited to have a friend in his size as well as some cool cars and toys! Where Are My Clothes by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Thank you @ElectricMauve and @ReineDeLaSeine14 ! I've been having fun with these little guys today and am anxiously awaiting my tan Ante and blue and gray PongPong's arrivals! You've Got a Friend in Me by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Look at these two. They make a terrific pair already! The tiny underwear is cracking me up. Opie is going to have the time of his life now. Complimentary hats, complimentary cars... I can only imagine what excitement three more friends will bring.
Ahg they tried to deliver my ante and I missed it! the one time I leave the house for longer than 15 minutes this month, go figure So I rescheduled it to come tomorrow
SO PRECIOUS! guys guys guys my Ante is here, just in time for my birthday this month! Had to argue with the post office to get her but she's here! So back when I ordered her I got her an outfit from my tinies' wardrobe that hadn't suited someone else, and I made a wig. I wasn't sure if the wig would work for her, or if it would fit, but it's a perfect fit and... She's SO STINKIN CUTE I cannot Even. All I have to do is put a darker tint on her eyebrows. I think her name will be Enu, a name from Ghana (in Akan I think) that means Fifth born child, and she's the fifth puki to come and stay.
@JinCIncy - ooh, you are awaiting 3 more Pukipukis! That's so exciting! @NineOneThree - Your Ruby is precious. I love her little dress. So pretty! @Rosslyn - that sounds just like the post office - to try and deliver the moment you stepped away! (The PO has been on my bad list a lot this year, lol) Congrats on finally getting ahold of your Ante! She's adorable in her little dress.
Good. I don't think any of us have that kind of willpower. The eyes compel you. I know I already commented on her profile, but I adore how you've styled her. The complimentary patterns. The soft shades of pink. The perfect socks and shoes with the smallest flowers. Perfection. @Rosslyn ...Congratulations twice! A good birthday 'surprise', albeit at the expense of great frustration with the post. I hope you are able to do something special for yourself. You did such a fine job on that wig. It looks wonderful with the little decorations. I am always impressed by your mods and crafty resourcefulness, but I don't think I've seen you make things for this scale before. (That or I've forgotten) The darker eyebrows will be the perfect touch. Enu is a fine name for her, and she fills out that hanfu (?) very well.
And my Pukipuki Cupid is finally on its way to me! Squee! I am actually kind of shocked my order in en route. I've been waiting for so long I have to change the habit to waiting on the PO now! I have no idea if my Pukipuki is going to be a girl or a boy, but either way, I am so excited to make clothes in this scale!
My Pukipuki Ante is on the way! I'm trying to organize the crew! I know I sold some duplicates in the early days so now I am trying to verify who is still here and get them all grouped together!
@Rosslyn She's so cute in that dress! Congrats to everyone who's gotten their shipping notices! I'm still waiting on mine...
I won't lie, I was so mad when I saw the cupid on DDE! XD. Not really, but I had already bought Ante and I love her. Her name is Becky--and she's not sure why she's stuck with supervising all these other hyper-active sprites. She lets them stay, thought--Kona makes her coffee any time she wants it and Flora (the original of this current bunch!) promised to make her some punk clothes. (I am moving so slowly in getting these girls all dressed!) Once everyone has one outfit, I'll finally share them.
I'm getting a little more used to wait times when ordering from DDE for any Fairyland stuff. Got a wig and clothes ready for my Ante way ahead of her arriving. I'm really looking forward to this doll, I really hope that those of us still waiting get our shipping notices soon!
I hope everyone gets their dolls really soon! My order came last week and I haven't really messed with the dolls much since they arrived. I'm weirdly still in the habit of waiting for them that I've actually forgotten a time or 2 that they came! I know that sounds bizarre, but it's been one of those weeks. My Cupid is so adorable. I can't decide if it's going to be a girl or a boy. I really need to mess with it more to get a feel of what I want to do with it, but I know I love it!
While ordinarily I don't mind waiting, I am a tad annoyed that the exact doll I ordered, which I've heard nothing about, is in stock now on their site. Seems they'd fulfill advance orders before doing direct sales. This hasn't been my experience with DDE in the past, so it's a bit of a suprise.
That would annoy me too. I would shoot them an email about that. I’m currently waiting for four pukipuki’s. I should go see what they have in stock. Ok so I just went and looked. One of the dolls I pre-ordered is also in stock but I haven’t gotten any notification of mine being shipped.
@clochette and @Brenay, they just posted new pukis today so I bet they are getting preorders shipments ready to go and you’ll be notified Monday or early in the work week.
I actually got a notice Friday that my Ante was processing for shipment. Seems she should be here Thursday.
Hurrah for all the new arrivals! @Kirahfaye: Your Ante looks so much sweeter than mine! Mine looks like an old punk rocker having to supervise the rest of the pukis!
I love seeing Leon-he’s so cute! His new face up suits him and his wig is perfect. Have fun with him!
Hi everyone, It’s been years since I visited DOA or even looked at my dolls, but I happened to log in a little while ago in time to see that the pukipukis were being offered again.. and, well… I just couldn’t resist! I ordered a pong pong and an ante, both in tan through Denverdoll and they just arrived yesterday. I’m all excited again to spend time with my tinies. They are just so flipping cute. (Edit: Yes! I think I’ve figured out how to post images…) Tinies!
My pukipuki rory just came in! he's incredible! he doesn't have a wig yet, but hopefully that'll arrive soon! his box opening: /threads/tiny-little-snail-man-pukipuki-rory.880925/
I'd forgotten that "technically" I had a box opening..... my Ante was safe, just a bit shaken up. Box Opening???
After resisting the final order period with much success I thought my wallet would be safe but after continuously lurking in this thread I caved and purchased a tan Pongpong instock from Denverdoll
My Flora came home yesterday! She doesn't have a wig yet, or a definite name yet, but here she is! New Puki Puki!
My Ante had ankle surgery! A few days after she arrived, her ankle and foot came off. I emailed DDE and they said that occasionally the little rod that holds the hook for the ankle breaks off, so they were able to order ankle parts from Fairyland. I got it in the mail yesterday and fixed her. She works great now! She seems like it didn't phase her one bit! Pukipuki Ante by Jane K, on Flickr
Dipping my toes in the water here, hello. I've only got one doll so far, Madeline, and I love the near instant gratification of sewing and knitting for someone so tiny. I'm a spinner and went through a phase of spinning frog hair, I'm finally using some of those yarns now! Although I've pretty much got a lifetime supply with how much is needed for a single sweater, lol
Man, I am NOT tech savvy, but I think I've figured out picture posting. These are my first knits for my Madeleine, the yarn was supposed to be a quick spin on my (at the time) new wheel. I had 42g of 50/50 silk and camel down, though it would be an evening's worth of fibre spinning... not so much. After a week I ended up with 460 yards of two ply cobweb yarn, and after knitting these I probably have 450 yards left
