Fairyland PukiPuki Discussion Part 22

Nov 2, 2014

    1. She's so cute, like a baby!

      • x 1
    2. i think the tabloach wigs are to thick to look like baby hair (one of mine was born with so much hair we had to cut his bangs before we left the hospital, but it was still fine and soft, not thick and coarse like it got later. if you really want a full head of baby hair you might need to do a hardcap wig and glue on really fine mohair or alpaca instead. or i've seen painted on hair to get the look without adding bulk. but she makes an adorable baby as is. you could also maybe put a little fringe of hair around the edge of a bonnet or beanie?

    3. @yumi~ I'm so happy with the proportions! She really does look like a baby!

@auntbear I have watercolor pencils, and I may just draw a little forehead curl on each faceplate to match her eyebrows. I've seen babies that have just a little ringlet at the edge of the hairline like that. And I could position it to peek out of a beanie or bonnet.

    4. that would be really cute

    5. Thank you! I've been searching for years for just the right wig, although Elly does get into things she doesn't belong. It's a size 4, and rather huge, so I'm going to put a couple stitches behind the ears and hope it fits a bit better. Even velcro isn't really working well.

    6. the perpetual problem of finding small wigs for pukipukis :(

    7. I don't suppose there's anywhere to buy pukipuki eyes? I'm not thrilled with the default color. They aren't bad, they just aren't what I was planning.

ETA: what size are they? 6mm or smaller?

    8. I recommend Enchanted Doll eyes because they can be very small and still capture the light very well.

My two pukis (piki and sugar) wear 8mm. Puki Piki can wear up to 10mm but I like to see the sclera more so I prefer 8mm for him too.

He is wearing ED Milky eyes in 8mm

For a newborn I think the forehead curl or little bonnet might look better than a wig. The baby look is such a great idea!

    10. Hi everyone! It's been months since I've posted, but Penny has been looking so cute lately I just had to share her. She is still wigless.. I just can't find the perfect wig for her! I hope this picture isn't too big, my phone is being weird and not letting me edit the size

    14. Wonderful family - they are all adorable and dressed so nicely - cuteness overload all the way around.

    15. Hi everyone, total newbie here. My doll family is a family of one at the moment, and my finances make it difficult for me to save for more. Here is Seleya, who is quite lonely.

(She is named after Mount Seleya on the planet Vulcan, in Star Trek, because of her pointy ears. I intend to embroider little logos on her shirts so they look like starfleet uniforms, and possibly trim her current wig to look more Spock-like, hahaha...)

    16. Welcome, Seleya! Live long and prosper!

    17. Welcome Seleya - the Star Trek idea is a good one. She is a cutie.

    18. Bagirka I haven't seen too many Nikos around, but she is so cute! And so are her friends!
River Island That's the problem with these dolls- you get one and then they want friends!

    19. This weekend I'm taking Seleya to visit a friend who has a similiarly-sized doll and we'll be doing a photoshoot. And I may have just borrowed some money from my mother to order a Sugar, hahaha. ^_^ Addictive hobby, oh dear!

    20. Yay I styled that Cupid Curl wig. Thought I needed 3 days in a row to complete it. I'm very happy with the outcome of it. โ™ก And I really like the colour of the wig. In my eyes it's not really so blonde as it is much more like a light hazelbrown (a colour I totally prefer for him).
As tiny as he is he gets my most attention. My poor other boys sit around in their corners rather neglected. It's just to easy and fast to build a set for shooting on that scale and doing things is just way to fast to do too.

I really like your two cuties. Especially Almond. That innocent gaze of him is just irresistible.โ™ก

The 3 of them are so beautiful. They look like there is much love involved in bringing them out like that. (Yay another Niko.)

      Welcome~~
That Cutie is so sweet. A Star Trek theme is something I do n ot see very often. That's cool~โ˜†

    21. The wig turned our perfectly. I love this size and they pose so beautifully - they are amazing tiny dolls.

    22. Hi gals! I haven't posted in forever. I was curious if anyone had a niko? I never seem to see many owner pictures

    23. I have a Niko!!! She's my favourite of my three pukis (but don't tell the others!). This is quite an old picture - I just realized I've not taken pictures of my pukis in forever...I don't even have any pictures posted of my tan piki and I will have had him two years come the tenth!

Anyway, here's Weasley. I'll try and take some new pictures of my pukis tomorrow afternoon.

    24. She's adorable!!

    25. Weasley has always been one of my favorites.

    26. Okay, so i've been looking at pukipuki's for my next doll....I think you all have me sold. Those little angel wings are to precious for words and all of them are just adorable and all of the dresses and sweaters are just to cute. All of your babies are precious.

I can't stop knitting clothes for Tuppence. I got a big bag of "punch yarn" in lots of different colours. I used three shades of corals for her little dress and hat ensemble.
I also made her a new teddy bear.
She is still wearing a "stolen" wig (from my Jun Planning AI) but it does look cute with a hat on top. Still. I should see about getting her some hair of her very own!

    28. @Merlin's Mom Thank you. And there I thought I'm rather into SD and MSD dolls and now his tiny pressence is occupieing my dolly time. XD One reason Fairyland ranks high in my favourites.

@vertefae My sweetheart Pet is a Niko thought his face is quite modded (sanded nose and ears). But his basic mold is a Niko. (I'm always in to see more Niko girls and boys around~โ™ฅ)

@Lubelle I like her so much.(That mushroom behind her!) She and another Nikogirl tempted me into getting my boy. I have to thank you for helping me decide.~โ™ก

@Elgyfu Tuppence is a Cutie. I've got quite the respekt for everyone who can knitt in that size. And that bear is adooorable smallโ™ฅ

    29. Tuppence (love the name) is so cute. The outfit is adorable on her and I love the teddy bear you made - my Puki's are jealous.

    30. @Lubelle Our girls are (sorta) twins!! I had such a hard time deciding between Niko and Ante when I was getting my first girl. Ante won, but it was a near thing.

    31. Awww, Toothless eating a book! And the combined cuteness of all the Puki babies... overwhelming. I went and ordered myself a Sugar last week. Can't resist her smile.

    32. I think Niko looks more like a baby Ante than Ante does

    33. @Merlin's Mom Weasley says thank you very much!!
@BloodyScytheAkatsuki No problem! There aren't nearly enough Niko's around here, so happy Weasley inspired at least one!
@Trillian They are very much like twins! I fell in love with Niko because of the adorable freckles. :)
@vertefae Thank you. :) Totally agree about Niko looking more like a baby Ante than puki Ante - I think its the freckles.

I snapped a new pic of my three puki babies today. They look like they are behaving, but I'm pretty sure they are up to something. Left to right we have Crumb (tan piki boy), Weasley (Niko) and Flit (dreaming Flora). Flit recently stole the wig she's wearing here from my Minigem (she had two wigs) because she didn't think her tabloach wig was princessy enough. I still desperately want a tan Lily to finish my puki family.

    34. I love their dresses! Where'd you get them?

    35. I love them too! My girls pretty much only wear anything else at Christmas time. The dresses were made by Wovenflame several years ago. I don't believe she makes them anymore, unfortunately.

    36. Hello) So many beautiful dolls here! Let me join this thread with my Ashley.

      Thank you!
These flowers are now very much here. I could not use them for dolls :)

    42. they are such pretty flowers when embroidered... though i do hate them once they get into my garden! they are impossible to get out and just take over everything :(

    43. Does anyone remember the last event FL offered pukipukis in tan? I'm trying to remember the cycle of who's next :)

    44. I think they had tan Puki Pukis pretty recently, but I'm not sure.
Leo found a amusing wine label on my last visit to NYC.

    45. @Taskasbears, Stesha is adorable! Her sweet dress compliments her skin and eye colors!

    46. She is so cute! The wig and outfit are perfect on her.

    47. Thank you so much!

    48. unfortunately they don't just cycle through :( they usually do mnfs. ltfs, and pkfs. the realpukis and pukipukis don't get as much love and only come up occasionally. as leo said they were up pretty recently so i don't expect to see them for a while.

    49. Bahahaha!! :XD: I do love a good pun, but that one sounds kinda gross when you think about it! I love the expressive way you've posed Leo's hands!

    54. Got the message from Fairyland that my Sugar has shipped. I think I'm going to name her Vivian. Anyone have Sugar pictures to share?
