Fairyland Pukipuki discussion part 2

Jan 23, 2008

    1. making the socket your going to want a sanding bevel there are 8mm ones for sale on ebay. :) type in 8mm eye bevel. i think it's about $12.

also a super tiny drill bit and a hand drill (like a screw driver only you put drill bits in it), you can get both at a hobby store and some super sharp exacto knife blades. :) and tons of sand paper. in different grades

if you dont mind waiting. when my sleeping pong pong comes in i can do a photo toturail on how to open the puki eyes. :) however if you want the exact same shape as the other eye, i would highly encourage sending his little head out, to have a professional do it, if it's going to be your first try. but if you don't care and it's practice that's all you need and i can pm you with some more exact steps. :)

    2. Oh I love the hood!

Kyaa! Look at those panties! LOL I love them!

    3. I honestly thought I would never ever ever own anything smaller than SD. Both of my girls are SD sized, and I really didn't think anything smaller would be for me! ESPECIALLY not a tiny.:sweat

...and then I saw a SD messenger bag for sale, the display picture showing it carrying a puki inside... and I melted. I started thinking about maaayyybe getting a puki, so I cruised DoA... and saw in the Arrivals Gallery a NS PongPong, and... well. That was it for me.:D

I'm currently waiting for my Simcha to ship, and keeping myself entertained by getting clothes for him! :XD:

    4. Hi Spampy,

I love this wig! Can I ask where you got it from? Thanks!

    5. Also, Spampy, where did you find the red cowboy boots? This Texan needs those boots!

    6. They get you, don't they! LOL I never thought we'ed have so many tinies either. ;) But the house now a Puki farm . LOL
How long until you get your little one?

    7. your puki had the same clothes, wig, eyes and name as mine o_O except mines a sugar. wierd coincidence...?

      EDIT: lol..ok now im scared..

i have a cuddly sheep called sheepy that frequents with my dolls also...something wierd is going on here.

    8. :o:D She's so cute! Thanks for posting that pic!

    9. I like the look of that hair! Interesting idea! How did you make it?

    10. ...well, they'd been about to ship him out earlier this week, but I contacted them very last minute to ask if they could do the faceups for both faceplates after all (I'd ordered them naked), so it added a bit of extra time:doh

    11. So many adorable little Pukis! :D

I really wasn't happy with the eyes on the faceup I did for Nix, so I redid them. And then my husband convinced me that she should have eyelashes, like my other dolls. So now she does!

I'm still anxiously waiting on her wig. It should be getting here any day now - I'd really really hoped it would arrive today, but there was no mail at all. Hopefully, tomorrow . . . Nix needs her new hair!

    12. How. Gorgeous. I love his pale coloring, and you did a superb job with his scales. May I ask where you got the eyes he's wearing? They look pupilless. Are they?

    13. I LOVE that bunny hoodie. Love it!!!
The wig is really great. I have two in different colors. Karen Vail makes them.

    14. I love this. That is some beautiful work on those scales.

    15. Thank you everyone! :abow:

Thank you very much. Yes they are pupilless cause they're just are deep red glass beads :sweat

    16. Awww. I love his monkey sweater. He is absolutely adorable.

    17. Ulla is trying to decide if she wants to be the Isty Bitsy Spider for Halloween.

    18. Ooh that spider suit is COOL!

I'm debating whether or not to dress my pukis up for Halloween. It's still a very new "holiday" here, although the stores are doing their best to americanize us enough to celebrate it *L* (and yeah I caved in and bought me a pumpkin)

Still.. dressing up is always fun and any occasion to do so is a good one :)

      mmm Must check eBay....

    19. I'm not too fond of putting shoes on my Devika. She can't stand up very well when her magnets can't latch onto her metal standing plate. :sweat

    20. Really? My little Bella hardly ever is found without shoes on and I don't think I've ever used her plate, she stands all the time.:nowords:

    21. thread is just too huge... locking to start a new one, but never fear, this will stay here so you can still look at piccies and stuff!
