I finished up the faceups for my 3 pukis! ^^ The dye on Echo rubbed off a bit at the joints. I didn't think it would happen so soon x.x I'm going to be very careful with him haha. After the dyeing & layers of MSC, the parts barely fit together so sueding is a no no >.<

I just love my new Ante. I think I'll name him Ryouta.

Ryouta is too cute in that outfit and wig! I have a weakness for guys who wear their hair in a ponytail. So small yet so mature-looking!

Echo turned out really well, too! He looks much darker than the FL choco skin, but it's a lovely sort of bronze tint.

I always thought my Pong, Mookie, was just adorable with his default eyes but now that I have seen Whittaker and Theodore up close with their eyes that show more white, I realize that changing the just the eyes can give such a different look.

alexisbears: Whittaker seems like she is looking right at you with those eyes. They really suit her whole look. She is such a cutie.

Lyzrd: Theodore for sure is going to charm all the girls. I like how he looks like he is going to blow a kiss at you.

 

redmaiko: Your heat wave picture is so funny. I think Pongs especially have that impish quality that you almost expect something like that from them. Chiyo hiding her eyes..perfect !

chnloo5: Your girls together are always so charming. They look like such loving sisters and they have the cutest outfits.

hyperchi: The boys look like they are ready for some mischief now. Their face ups came out super and the dye job for Echo looks good on him. Great job.

We must be the only cold spot in North America. We haven't had much of a summer at all yet. Still in long pants and even sometimes wearing a jacket to walk the dog. I'm not complaining at all though. I'd rather this than the dreadful heat.

 

Gibbet: Ruka is quite the adventurer for his first photo shoot. I hope he doesn't want to sail away too far. His boat is just the right size for him. Congratulations on his adoption.

Well, Alice got a new playmate, a Puki Pukisha named Aeris. She's my first WS, as well as "non-human" doll, and I love her to bits.

I was very surprised at the eye color they sent with her, because it matches her coloring and hair so well!


I was going to do a box opening (since I have yet to actually do one, ever) but haven't been feeling up to taking pictures at all so again did not. None the less, I am thrilled she's here, and we've been trying on colors to see what suits a white-skinned, wine-haired, pink-eyed cat-girl

I had asked them about the chocos not long ago as well. They said they might release different fullsets. As long as chocolily is one of them, I will be happy!!!

 

I am kicking myself for being impatient. I ordered a new wardrobe for Cecelia but I wanted something new for an up coming meet. I knew I was tempting fate, and I ordered from an Etsy seller with questionable practices as of late. I went to see if my purchase (from a week ago) had shipped, and she has gone and emptied her stores inventory..... So I'm guessing I'm probably screwed Can I have cute cheer up spam to combat the puki death glares?

 

I have no new spam to cheer you but perhaps this thought might help?:

I bought a doll from a seller on Etsy a while back and someone reported her for selling items that were not "supplies", "handmade" or "vintage". While they disputed her case Esty removed all the items from her page, in effect a "lock down" of sorts. Her shop was not reinstated for a couple of weeks while things were sorted out. She's back now and still selling, but not actual dolls. Perhaps your case is similar and the seller has gotten her account frozen while they investigate something? That doesn't mean you won't get your goods, just that she is temporarily unable to sell anything more. Your case may be different, of course, but I thought it might give you hope to hear this?

 

Maybe it is a "lock down" of sorts. Thanks Wovenflame, I'm going to try and stay positive for now. If I hear nothing I know I have a little time before filing a claim with paypal.

 

Etsy's had a bit of a shake up over the past few days, including a new CEO, people were being mass muted, and shops shut down randomly with no warning and no reason/exploitation. they're in the process of fixing it, so shops that were suddenly shut down in the past week or two, may be back soon, possibly with gaps in their inventory or messages missing. There's been lots of odd politics going on there for about 6 mos-1 year and some long time sellers with lots of great feedback are moving off Etsy.... there may be one of those other issues that caused the seller to "wander off". If you send her a convo, she will still get an email notification and a copy of the convo in her email.

but yeah, I take feedback very seriously, if there's a couple of negatives that are recent, I might wait to see if they get fixed, if there's a random negative or two scattered through a lot of sales, it's not a big deal... if there a bunch of recent negatives... I'll just move on to some other seller.

The New CEO posted a rather optimistic "Hi everyone, I'm in charge now..." sort of thing, but my optimism re: Etsy is still really shaky at best. (the sellers and buyers there are generally awesome... management/admin is, um, sometimes unpredictable, quirky... or worse. Hopefully this major change will fix that. )

last year I did that at a wedding. dropped the camera on the marble floor as I was sitting down.
I ALWAYS use the neckstrap now with my new camera.

 

Yeah I normally use the wrist strap on mine, but I had it on my tripod and was a total klutz and tripped it up. At least it wasn't new, I got 5 years out of it, but still...
