Fairyland Pukifee discussion part 28

Oh, I did get her through DDE it was so long ago though, 2012 so pre-cert and I don't think I have any of the receipts saved as proof. I was much younger and newer in the hobby then. But I'll shoot them a message.

I've taken the whole piece apart (my surprise when I realized the metal bar holding on the hool in the wrist joint isn't cast in and jsut fell out >.<; !) in preparation to glue it.

 

I would just contact them to see if they can get the part for you. They will answer their phone sometimes during the day but Ive found that they answer their email very quickly.

 

Update on my girl:

The superglue seems to have worked really well but DDE also contacted FL and I have some replacements on the way.

I gave Eru some new eyelashes. Don't they look wonderful?

The sky was very clear so I ran out to make some pictures and the sunset was just gorgeous today.

Okay, so I got my first Pukifee ever and I’m in love with her. She is an Ante and I would really like to make her a deer. Do you have any tips and tricks that will do the job? Suggestions for wigs, ears, clothes? Where do you buy your Pukifee clothes? What eye and wig size do they have?❤️

 

I buy my wigs either from artists, etsy or aliexpress. I think they have like a 14 cm or 5-6 size. You can make either the antlers out of clay yourself I think you could use FIMO or other brands or commission them. I personally like to use Swandoll eyes because of their crystal reflections but other people like to use more realistic eyes it is a preference thing. Either 10 mm or 10bmm is nice with the difference that bmm has bigger iris.

 

Thank you so much for your reply! I think I will be able to make the antlers myself out of clay, that is a good idea. As for the wigs: when I search on AliExpress I get no results for “bjd” anymore. I’ve bought things for my dolls on Ali in the past, but I can’t find anything bjd related anymore, very strange.

 

The search bar is blegh... I look for wigs 1/8 that show some different ones. It used to be so easy :\

 

Haha yes it’s really silly because the searchbar used to be so much more accurate. I have been looking for wigs but I can only find the 1/3, 1/4 and 1/6 size, no more 1/8 sizes

 

I had certain sources for 1/8 wigs and they kind of dried up, luckily i bought a lot before that happened. Try searching “ob11 wig” on ebay or aliexpress. If you’re in the US check Denver Doll. I haven’t bought anything internationally since the tariffs started so I don’t know what extra fees would be added on.

 

Yeah I do remember that there were way more sources a couple of years ago.

 

Oh I didn’t know they wear the same size as Obitsu, that is helpful! Thank you that definitely increases my chance to find wigs! Do you know if they wear the same size clothes as well?

 

I have a few things that were sold as ob11 clothes and shoes that fit but it’s not very often. I just have had better luck buying clothes specifically made for 1/8 bjd. Are you looking for a specific style, I might know of some sources.

That’s difficult because the seamstresses I know that make custom things are in Russia and Belarus. I wish I could help more.
