Fairyland Multihead Discussion part 2

pkf body is a bit chubby isn't it. Actually most tinies under 15cm are, except the resinsoul (as mention by Goodbyekitty) or elfdoll tiny. Now makes me wonder how good is it multihead with elfdoll tiny....

and yes.... 3 basics? I thought only Zefi and Bonnie are the basics, while there're 4 event gift?

even if it is their marketing plot so that you buy again from them, but they don't just sell the body? for me, it's encourage more for the buyer to buy other bodies, instead of FL's ^^;

Hi! I want to introduce you my Multihead Ante. HEr name is Jerry. She is so much like that little mouse from the cartoon!

This reminds me I am going to have to take more pictures soon. I have another body on the way. Will probably put the Cupid Multihead on it.
Have one Ante with a body and one Ante without, but she's not painted either so she waits

Such cute dollies!! I am going to have to sew clothes for mine but I now own 1.5 multiheads! (sell the bodies separate, FL!!)

I am only missing one body. But next 3-4 paychecks I will be totally broke, since I have to pay for the first round of college courses starting in January and February. I also had some issues with my sewing machine. It died. I had to buy another old machine (I love old machines), and tried to do homework during class at school and wasn't able to do the samples and the homework all at once. But I passed the course I was trying to sew for
I haven't had time to make the pants for the boy either, but I am extremely happy with my school so far, so it's worth it I passed the latest course with 98%

Oh, forgot to mention, I will have 3 weeks off school over the holidays, from December 20th to January 12 or so?? I MUST get some dolly play in there

 

May we join in the fun? I just traded for what I think is a Bonnie multi head on a BBB body. I'm still waiting for her to tell me her name and we have to work on clothing, etc.

Ohhhh, I love all these pictures, especially of the Bonnies! And I'm really glad I found this thread. I've been wanting to get a Bonnie and have been wondering--does anyone know if the multihead sculpts are EXACTLY the same as their slightly larger counterparts, or are they a little different? I've looked for pictures of multihead Bonnie and regular Bonnie together, but haven't found anything. Does anyone have both???

And the body came for the Cupid girl... then we got an offer for a trade for another body, and we took it and that completes the bodies we needed for now.

We are still lacking in the clothing and shoes department, but I did take a picture anyway.

On the top row, we have Zefi, Juri, Ante#2, still nekkid and with no eyes and a horrible "practice" faceup, too, the poor girl :/
We weren't looking for a body when this one came up, and it arrived in a week or something ridiculous like that

If he's looking familiar to anybody, it's because the actor is Robert Sheehan, who was cast in the BBC series "The Misfits" about juvenile delinquents assigned to community service who were given supernatural powers in a freak storm. Or you might know him from last year's teen-angsty fantasy film, "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" where he played the nerdy-friend-silently-crushing-on-the-female-lead.

This was totally not on purpose either. I just really had a clear idea of what I wanted this boy to look like, and I commissioned the wig to look that way, but I have never heard of Robert Sheehan before But now I am going to go look for the show and the film

 

My Bonnie arrived yesterday and she's super cute. However... she looked like a linebacker on her Pukifee body, so I swapped bodies with my Resin Soul Yu, just to see how she'd look with a slimmer body. And I don't have any spare PukiPuki bodies lying around anywhere, so that was the closest match I have.

So here's Pax:



The color match is near perfect, so yay! I need to restring her body now, though, as she's a bit kicky. Overall? I am very happy with her size.

SO many cute dolls! I love multiheads! I just wish I could get bodies separate so Jules and "Freckles" could ever be in the same picture without serious photoshop.

Jules got a minimal faceup and his hair done, so we're back for an updated shot. Little man is looking very smug. I am attempting to clothe him but there is a shortage of mature male fantasy clothing in this size so back to my needle and thread I go...

 

I'm adopting a Pukifee multihead Bonnie. Can anyone give me a hint on where to shop for wigs. Wiki only mentions fairyland and Tinybear.

 

Coco: Monique sells excellent quality wigs for BJDs in their "Gold" line, and so does Ruby Red Galleria. Anything in size 4-5 should be OK for Multiheads. If you want a fun-fur/fer wig, BeachGirlNikkita here on DoA (and eBay & Etsy) makes re-stylable wigs at excellent prices.

Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen: The "RealFees" have arrived. They seem to be in a size between LittleFee and MiniFee. I like that they used some of the "skinny" design elements from the RealPuki bodies – tiny dolls don't have to be chubby to be adorable. What I'm most curious about is how our Multiheads might look on these taller bodies?

I also wonder about DoA member DaisyDayes: She's been making tiny Fawn and Centaur add-ons for years. Will she be flattered, or feel ripped-off?

 

I really don't think she'll mind. She didn't mind when all the other companies who make such parts have been doing business that way for years. As an artist you know you can't/won't patent a basic idea, like "adding animal parts to a humanoid". It's an idea other people have had and will have.

As to size comparisons of the Multihead, I think @SmoteyMote did some pics of how that would look, if they might oblige us and post them here? Someone did anyway.
FL also has posted pics of a regular Pukifee head on that new body and it looks proportional.

Random weirdness when I was crafting: I have a pukifee body with no headback for her multihead faceplate, so I've sculpted one, carving it very carefully so her faceplate fits it. Then I tried my headback with the other multihead faceplate I have- and it doesn't remotely fit that one! What is going on here. Both of these plates fit the company headback that I have. Weird. It must be down to tiny differences, I thought, except that the fit is a disaster on Juri'11 and perfect on Zio. Not a slight mis-fitting, a big one.

I wonder if Juri'11, being an event plate, is a little unintentionally different fitting? His faceplate does stick very tightly into the company headback.

 

I'm totally excited about Fairyland finally making fantasy parts! the whole reason I ever made my own was because I wanted my Fairyland dolls to he hooved! hoofed? why is if hooves but not hooved? >.>

I also really hope they'll have the fantasy parts in the smaller sizes as well as the RealFee size

the multihead size would probably be a bit too small for the Reafee bodies, the PKF size head even looks a bit small to me when they are wearing the hooves and paws options

I think the pukifee head is pushing the line of size on the small end already. Multi-head would look like a shrunken head on top of the realfee body in my opinion. Of course, everyone has different aesthetics.d

 

Here is Jules' BFF "freckles", a Zio who really needs an actual name. I ended up making her headback myself after being impatient in finding one for her multihead faceplate.

I sold all my multiheads but one, and have been missing them lately. It is always nice to come on here and see everyone else's!

 

I finally named my "Freckles" Zio. She is Andrea Mitchell. She's the friend of Jules Kimura, an Aikido Black Belt who is opening his first Dojo, on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

 

Rosslyn, how did you make her wig? I need something similar for a couple of dolls

 

Her wig was made with the hard cap method, a jersey fabric stretched over a saran-wrapped head and then mod podged into stiffness. I didn't remove it at that stage but made pencil lines for the longer portion of her hair, and where the actual hairline would be. I then put glue all over the "shaved" part in a thin layer and sprinkled some flocking all over it. I let that dry for a long while but still did not remove the base fabric from my wrapped doll head.

Re-posting the pic from above so you don't have to scroll back and forth to see this, hope that's OK.


For the longer locks, I laid silk fiber a pinch at a time, starting on the side the hair hangs over and going toward the exposed shaved side. At the visible left side edge of that longer hair I laid a row pointing "down" and then folded it over to join the rest of the swoopy part, and ironed it at the fold to make it snug.

Only then did I come in with my very thin sharp scissors and cut away her front hairline out of the base fabric that formed the cap of this wig. I lifted it away from the wrapped head a little at a time, cutting out the hairline and tugging away the excess fabric. That's what let her sideburny bits be so crisp this time, I think.

Juri with Rosen Garden body. Another option for multihead body (not that they are that many mh heads). skintone both are NS, but not matching.
(dollzone special 18cm body could work too my guess, since it is very similar to Rosen Garden's)

Also, my friend a88_angel was here visiting me for a week We had a great time playing doll. She did the faceup for both my Ante multiheads, and picked up my Cupid floating multihead.
So now that all the little kids have faces, it's high time for a picture!

Rosslyn, I understand your frustration in so many ways I can't even begin to tell you about it. My faviourite doll ever is a "one of" type deal, with no hope of ever being made for sale.

 

I wanted a more kid-ish, chubby hybrid but not as small as a pukipuki, so I got a Doll Family A 16cm body. This body doesn't pose well and the "normal pink" is way too pink, but I really like how this hybrid look!

I think your pic link might have a problem- I can't get it to load.
Most people have their multiheads on a pukifee body, which is bigger thank a pukipuki, is that what you meant?

Ah there it goes, I got it working now- and I see what you mean. That body has wider hips, too.
