Fairyland Multihead Discussion part 2

My Multihead Bonnie and Zefi arrived in October, but in the excitement of getting them ready for a Halloween doll meetup, I forgot to post photos. Here they are in the company of a Soom Faery Legend Auber.

 

They are gorgeous!! I have a Bonnie head I plan to put on a bobobie body eventually. My Cupid multihead is on her way home at the moment and I just can't WAIT to see her all in one piece!!!! I have enjoyed using her body to give my Juri a head for a while, but Juri's body is coming in the new year I think then all I need is Zefi and I'll have them all!! I think I probably won't get Zefi even though I love him to bits

I've read somewhere (I thought it was here but I can't find it) a person saying that mh zefi actually looks like pkf bonnie and that fairyland might have switched their names...is this that you want to see? :P

Aww so very cute ^^ and it's funny you say that because I was never a fan of cupid either xD But when my ante nd cupid got faceups I ended up giving the 1 body I had to the cupid xd Adore her to pieces And ante is still sulking and waiting for a body since 2009 xD

Speak of the devil... Thisbe nicked a bratz hat from my sister xD I'm a terrible person... but it looks better on Thisbe ^.^

I Haven't posted for a while, I've been busy with College classes… and with being snowed in Luckily there finally came a day sunny enough to photograph my Max (Juri) in a hat I'd originally whipped-up for one of my PukiPuki:

… I had purposely made the hat too big because I was going to felt it, and there is a lot of shrinkage involved in the process. I made it from wool sock-yarn, but it never did get much smaller. When I posted the results in the "Crochet?" thread, DoA member auntbear gently reminded me that any wool yarn that says "Super-Wash" on the label has been pre-treated not to shrink or felt, and almost all of the fingering-weight (or "sock") yarns have had this treatment.

Of course: That was before Max came to live with me, and his little/big head saved the day!!

Popping in to comment on this... a friend and I actually did ask the FairyLand rep about it on Twitter when they first announced the multihead fullsets, and they did remark that it was strange that the names were similar, but that the names given to each sculpt were intentional and not mixed up. I'm one of those who does think that the Multihead Zefi looks like a smaller version of PukiFee Bonnie, and Multihead Bonnie doesn't look much like the other two! On the other hand, I had a couple of friends who thought MH Bonnie looked more like PKF Bonnie. The official names have never sat quite right with me, but it is what it is!

i just love my pukifee bonnie multi head... i love close to real dolls so i prefer the multihead one..

My gosh, so many cute kids! I subscribed to this thread a while back hoping to introduce myself, and after not having the time for a little while, I forgot about it.
I am a new Pukifee Multihead owner I got a PKF Ante from a friend that needed to sell a while back, and wasn't quite in love. I then saw a multihead Ante head in the MP and had to try it. And low and behold, I fell in love with the PKF
I ordered Basic Bonnie and then Zefi, and have been waiting so long that in the meantime, I found a second Ante MH head (will make twins), and also got a Juri MH head, and Cupid MH head, all these for one PKF body so far
I have a lot of stuff to buy them. Still waiting for eyes in the mail as well, and for someone I commissioned for a wig months ago as well. So slowly but surely it will all fall into place, and when it does, I will have to post a PKF family picture on here
So far, the Antes will be girls. The Bonnie will be a girl. Pondering the Cupid as a girl, and the Juri and Zefi as boys, but I am not sure. I will see what they "say" when it comes to that and everyone has a body, etc
In the meantime, here is one of my Ante MHs (the one with a body). Bad lighting and old ratty wig. But at least she has hair!



tukarduid, I MUST either find or try to make a bikini like that. I can't stop staring at it it's SO cute Maybe I can do red and blue for the Ante twins.... or pink and red...
I also love the look of the multihead on the Pukifee body rather than the traditional head. I think the traditional PKF are very cute as well, but I think it's just a matter of preference, and to me, the MH on PKF body just looks more realistic as well.
I have to say I wish I liked the traditional ones though. Much easier to find wigs and hats :P

I am planning a room for the PKF kids as well, but I haven't heard from my friend that was supposed to build me the room box since he got his new job. So. I might have to get the Home Depot man to cut my box pieces so I can nail them together myself hehe

 

Such a cutie! I agree...finding wigs has got to be a lot easier with the traditional Pukifee head size. I'm finding it a real challenge to find the "right" wig for my Juri. I have actually purchased about 6 wigs...none have worked, for various reasons. I'm trying again with another one, just waiting for it to arrive. Hats are a whole other challenge!

 

To me, multihead Bonnie reminds me a lot to Ante, but also I have seen multihead Ante pictures and those are even more lovely than the standard pkf Ante. So now I'm starting to feel that I shouldn't have bought a normal Ante and now would like to change my Ante for a multihead... U_U

I was actually debating whether or not I should sell my ante multihead as she's been floating since 2009... I put the head on Thisbe's body for a little while and now I remembered why I didn't sell it in the first place xD And now in the process of buying a secondhand body for them I wanted the head to be a boy, but as finding a boy wig and boy clothes seems to be so close to impossible I'm thinking a girl would work too ^^
I think I've bothered you all with this question before but I really can't remember where do you all buy wigs for theses cuties...? I was thinking maybe tinybear but wanted to know if there was any other options...

They are Strawberry Shortcake, Cherry Cuddler and Mint Tulip. (Still need a wig for her!)

I got a body for my floating multihead! She's been floating since 2009! And was going to be a boy but I've changed my mind xD

No wig yet :< But this is Salmacis with Thisbe ^^ I want her to hav a new faceup and be based on a colour like Thisbe is... but can't decide between yellow and red lol

 

Paul finally got some new clothes! I have the hardest time finding anything in PukiPuki size - most of it is for girls, or if you go with Kelly clothes, too modern for him. But I found some outfits Migidoll used to sell for their Cynical Baby line at Doll Peddlar. One is too big for some reason - I'm going to try to alter it - but this one works pretty well.

 

Awww too cute Those clothes look great I'm having trouble finding clothes aswell and mine are girls xD Was considering trying to sew my own... But I'm somewhat rubbish lol But you don't know until you try ^^

 

Mushoom, I think red would be a good choice
and late reply re: wig, I got one from Leeke too, which slide easily, so need a wig cap or something to hold it in place,
otherwise Rubyred or monique.

Solitary: Yeah, I find that not only are boy clothes difficult, but also "real" styled clothes that aren't too cute-sie. If you like the "Vintage" look, try Heidi Ott's clothes for dollhouse-sized children. This link is just to a catalog page, but you can find them for sale on eBay, no prob.I have several sets myself, and the fit (on a PukiPuki body) is perfect! They can get a bit pricey, but I assure you that the quality is excellent

My WS multihead Juri arrived today! I'm sad I missed out on the NS ones, but I'll get my WS one airbrushed to match a NS body, so I think it'll be okay. I haven't named her yet, but I just adore her already!!

I personally go for size 3-4. Multihead's is closer to pukipuki.
For non-poof one, I wouldn't have a clue. I have leeke (one syntethic and one mohair), default FL and rubyred

 

Ohmygosh! So many cute kids!!!!
Well, I haven't had a lot of time OR money lately to play with the dolls, but things will fall into place slowly but surely.
I am spending most of my money paying for college courses, and most of my time doing working full time and doing homework and trying to sleep in between.
So less play, but more quality play I suppose hehe

I am happy to say I am waiting for 2 more PKF bodies. That means I only need one more to complete my Multihead crew YAYYY!!!

In the meantime, here are the ones that have bodies right now:
Ante#1, Bonnie, and Zefi.



Mushroom, sorry for the late reply. I got mine from 1mim here on DoA, and she did the haircuts for the boy wigs, too. I asked for a curly at the front, short back for the redish brownish one (see below in a moment)... and for a short at the back and longer at the front straight black (Above).

 

So they (FL) give out pukifee faceplates, multi or otherwise, with their events, but do not sell bodies. No. Logic.

 

circoit: Sorry that I can't give you a definite answer either The truth is that it depends on what company's wig you're interested in. Fairyland's Mohair-Skin wigs are a little too large for Pukis, so they will fit the Multiheads by default. Generally I like 4-5 wigs in my Juri; His head is exactly 4.25 inches.

Rosslyn: Yes – absolutely!! When you get one, you think you're getting a "prize", when really it's all part of a nefarious plot to get you to spend another couple-hundred dollars! They do sell the 3 "regular stock" Multiheads with Pukifee bodies, though…

May I Recommend: CarlaBenham on Flickr has her Juri on a ResinSoul body. While the jointing system isn't nearly as superior as Fairyland's, they are slimmer & a bit shorter than the PukiFee bodies, so they don't give you that "linebacker" or "Rugby Player" effect. If you aren't obsessed with pose-ability (like I am) then the ResinSoul Tiny bodies make the perfect in-between-sized doll as a companion to regular PukiPukis and PukiFees.

… Aaand the price can't be beat
