The Therian event head is super cute, I think I might end up getting it to make a deer boy or something!

On the subject of hybrids, I don't have any hybrid ladies, but I do have a couple boys if anyone would like to see them. I wanted my guys to be different heights, so I put one on a DollZone body and one on a Doll Family H.

 

I don't suppose anyone here has or has seen a minifee head on a coral reef body? I like to hybrid this but it's hard to tell if it would work/look good so i'd love to see it

 

I personally don't think this will work well, the gap between neck circumference of head and body is too big for this combination. When you are looking to hybrid a minifee head, you better look for a body with 6.5-7cm neck circumference.

 

Ahh that's a shame, I love the body but i'm not particularly fond of the heads, I love the minifee body too thankfully

 

I plan on getting one to make a faun girl, with a moe body ^^

 

You used DFH yellow for one of your boys, right? Is the color a close enough match without adjusting the faceup? I have a minifee I wanted to switch to a DFH body but Alice said DFH won’t color match to fairyland anymore and my doll already has a faceup I don’t want to wipe.

 

Yup! Honestly, I think it's a pretty decent match, not perfect, but barely noticable difference, especially in photos!

I have a question: i plan to purchase an event head in few days, but i can't buy the body right now, so i'll buy it in few months. What i wanted to know is, do they give the neck part when i buy a body, or do i have to buy it too?

 

As long as you buy a Minifee body, the head connector is included. I bought one last fall and it came with the connector. It’s sold separately for hybrids.

I find it strange that the Therian head is included in both Ciel's Full Package and Designers Complete Sets. Don't you usually chose the event heads seperately? Do they charge extra for that included head now or did Fairyland raise their prices for Full Packages and the head is free? I'm a bit confused.

 

I love the doll but do agree with you in regards to the outfit i am not a fan of the weird short knickerbocker things lol
I will be looking to get her a frilly skirt to put over it for sure

 

As someone who loves shorts, I'm into it lol. I don't want all my girls/minifees in skirts or tutus or trains like they tend to do, so it's nice to see something else. I also prefer "less is more" and don't love it when things are over accessorized or have tons of color. That being said, I think this outfit would look nice either way. Like a really short frilly skirt would look adorable with the rest of the outfit!

I have a Risse head on a Souldoll body. They have a small bust option that is pretty good and the body is tall and a great fit. It's my favorite Minifee hybrid so far.

My Layla is home, I am smitten~ Well, except for one thing- Fairyland strikes with the sad eyebrows again! I didn't notice in the promos because she had a wig with bangs. So, I made her a new wig with bangs (please pardon that said wig is unfinished and I still need to trim and tame those bangs, lol).

 

She's lovely! I wasn't expecting the eyebrows on her when I saw her arrival pics. She looks so serious and strong in the promos! How does her corset fit btw? Some posts have me nervous for mine.

 

Yeah, neither was I! She looked kind of sweet, which is not the vibe I'm after lol. Had to hide those brows pronto.

The resin corset? Mm, it isn't perfectly flush as I would like it to be, if I am being honest. It's not the worst fit I've ever experienced but I would ve lying if I said I wasn't contemplating a dip in boiling water and a little bending?

I had also hoped that the gauntlets were removable, I really like the hands with them. Unfortunately they are not.

 

Oh sorry, I meant the cloth part. Some people were saying it was too big and some people got ill-fitting ones. That's good to know about the armor part as well, though.

 

Oh that piece? Eh, I did notice it was not as good of a fit as I like, but I was also rushing and meant to redo the lacing.

 

I have a MNF! A Chloe with an Angel Toast face-up, no less - in a Rauken corset. And while this is an older doll, she is showing off the new "kill" heel feet:

Dressed up my Rames today!! I really like these fall themed outfits from a wonderful creator on IG. I have 3 total and I think I may put my Niella boy and Scar Breakaway in the other two tomorrow because I'm so ready for fall already!!

I think I might want a minifee again. I had one years ago and I kind of miss her. There are soooo many different heads that have been released ! I'm kind of liking the Lookback Elf Shiwoo, and elf Hwayu too.

The other MSDs I've ordered recently are taking so long to arrive, an in-stock Minifee is even more tempting!

 

I will be STRONG! I haven't finished work on TWO minifees I have who are waiting for their faceups.

 

I also have a Minifee Chloe with an AngelToast face-up. She is my absolute favorite doll- just look at my avatar picture!

 

I'm thinking of ordering another minifee, my 2nd girl, I wanted Chloe in tan at first but I really love Celine's face sculpt haha, I can't choose if I want her in white, tan or blue. The blue looks really good, but I'm not sure how it'd look in person, minifee's are very beautiful dolls, I can see why a lot of people are obsessed with them haha.

 

It all started with just 1 for me. I promised myself. Now I have 20 xD Chloe is a classic and adorable, Celine is a close second. She's so versatile, too. Fairylands white and tan are both some of my favorites out of any company. You can't go wrong with any combination

 

::delurking here:: So I am just going to say Fairyland’s blue? Is awesome. I just got back into Minifee after a several year absence and flirtations with other doll companies. Like you I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted but when I saw DDE had blue, I decided to give it a shot. After all, it was my first Minifee in years and I felt like why not be a little extra?

I was so not disappointed. The blue has a such a gorgeous rich quality to it. Here’s my Minifee Chloe in blue (her name is Pelagia) for reference if you want to see what the blue tone looks like in natural light.

 

She's beautiful, I love her faceup, the blue is really nice, thank you for the photo, it's going to be a tough decision haha.

I wanted to share my Ciara (ns Chloe) who has finally found her ‘look’. I’ve
bought so many wigs for her in the last two years - but took one last chance
and got this deep golden blond alpaca wig for her from etsy - and am at
long last super happy with her ‘look’. She was painted by the amazing
VittaVera. Both the corsets were made by Minne - Raouken corsets.

I may hang onto the plum angora wig as it looked fairly well with her
previous corset too - but I’m over-the-moon happy with Ciara as a blond!

@Robyn_in_WA, Thank you so much! That is super kind of you! Congratulations on finding Ciara’s wig. I know from experience how frustrating it can be to find just the right thing and she definitely looks lovely in it.

I love how these dolls are engineered. The posing is lovely. Minifees are just the right size for their joints, if that makes sense. The size means that the weight of the resin doesn't overpower the doll's joints and elastic - something that I see a lot with my big (BIG) dolls. In fairness, that's something to be expected with bigger dolls, cuz all that resin is heavy, but I understand a little better now when collectors say they prefer 1/4 scale dolls.
Not that I'm getting rid of any of my big dolls. I love my enormous girls and boys.

 

Does anyone know how consistent Fairyland's tan is? I really like one of the Lookback heads, but I'm not sure I'm ready to also buy the body just yet.

 

I've seen tan from several different years, but all within ~5ish years, and they all matched nicely, even accounting for yellowing.

Hey y'all! Just got my order of the new high heel/"kill feet" and was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to buy shoes for them. Not sure what shoes will fit them besides the resin ones from Fairyland.

 

I’ve only recently begun to acquire any Fairyland tan dolls but my experience is that it’s not actually that consistent. My Ingrid and Realfee vampire bunny Luna (early 2022) are a reddish tan and quite similar. The two tan Ingrid heads I purchased on the mp however while definitely of a similar darkness are a yellower tan than the doll I have. One head is blank, the other has FL’s original faceup and both are the same shade so can’t blame it on that. The differences aren’t glaring but depending on your colour vision they’re there.
The heads I think came from Ingrid’s initial release, my own Ingrid from later batches (Aug/Sept 2022) if that helps any.

 

I have a few MNF dolls in Fairyland's tan and where as there is some differences between years/batches, they are all close enough to share hands. So I think it's a depends thing where sometimes the pigment of a batch is slightly off, and also age effects color.

 

I just ordered a tan Dreaming Dark Elf Soo head from Denver Doll. I intend to get a body from them within the next 6 months or less. I've always liked Dark Elf Soo and have a weakness for tan resin and dreaming eyes, so I didn't want to miss the chance to get her. I'm also waiting on several pre-ordered dolls right now and wasn't quite ready to commit to a whole new one just yet!

I'm looking for the old minifee LUTS hands - when they weren't magnetic and just had the hook part. I'm wondering which 'number' of these hands they released in the old LUTS days? I can only see up to no.4 on the waybackmachine, can anyone confirm that's correct?

 

This page might help. Looks like 4 might be all of them. IIRC Fairyland did the archer hands for the girls in MNF size when they first took over the line. I vaguely remember getting a couple of pairs with the first dolls I got from them.

Is anyone else obsessively collecting the lookback heads/event heads of old sculpts? There are a variety of DES heads on the MP that I'm sooooo tempted to get. Along the same line, has anyone made a list of all of the lookback/event heads?

 

@sailorchiron it would be cool to see a list of the Lookback heads. I'm pretty new to Minifee, my first was a an in-stock blue Jiyu from DDE last October. I wasn't too interesting in owning one, and then I saw him. I got my my Lookback Dreaming DES head yesterday, and OMG I love her so much! I'm going to order a body for her from DDE soon. Same. I had a whole conversation with my wife when I answered your post like, “Do these other hands exist or am I just thinking they do because Delf hands?” But we both remember them so I’m pretty sure the pair still available as magnet hands #6 were gift hands included if you bought a Minifee when Fairyland first opened their own site.

I’m definitely watching now that I’ve gotten back into Minifee (like veeeery recently and there are already a squad of them in the house). I appreciate the nostalgia, but they vary so much in terms of accuracy. I did have a Dreaming DES for 2.5 seconds that I impulse bought to paint if anybody wants to see what she looks like with a faceup:



She is a dead ringer for the old VDES from some angles, so good job CP. (I assume the actual VDES they did is too.) On the other hand, my wife got a blue DES head making a face with her Chloe and she didn’t really look like DES to me. I’m really familiar with the originals though so ymmv.

IIRC they’ve done vairiants of El, Lishe, Chiwoo, Shiwoo, Woosoo, and at least four DES, right? That’s not counting Soony and Yder forever ago that weren’t technically part of this line. I wish they’d bring back old MNF sculpts like Seorin and Marcia again, but I’m sure I can hold my breath on that one!
