My blue Hwayu finally has a faceup so I guess I can share her here I haven’t seen all that many of the special colors posted around but then Instagram is pretty broken these days. The blue is very nice and changes tone in different lighting. It’s a great fantasy resin!
Ah I love what you did with her!!! What a cutie! I also have the blue resin and I totally agree, I love how it changes with the lighting!
Hi, I don't know about now, but I got event head in January, and it was without certificate. So don't. Wow, she is stunning! Her special color is amazing, I never saw Minifee in such a beautiful blue color. Thank you for sharing! And I love her face up, you made it yourself? Wow!
I have El! ^.^ His faceup was tricky for me, too. I don’t do pics on DOA (cause I’m a grandma at 25 LOL, maybe someday I’ll go through all the steps and figure it out) but he’s on my Instagram Eventually I’ll make him a doll profile here at least!
How are the recent A-Line bodies from the latest releases? The last two minifees I owned were like bobblehead maracas (2022 and early 2023 releases). They were brand new from FL but they felt smaller, thinner, lighter, and more unstable than my old 2014ish Minifee body. I've been deterred from FL due to this
@PinkBear I don't know about the girls, but both my A-line and Fairyline boy's body that arrived recently are very decent, in my opinion. They can stand on their own and keep their pose well. The Fairyline did have issue on one his knee cap (1mm small chipping) when he arrive, but Fairyland are promptly replace it for me when I contact them. The replacement part arrived fast and with no defect.
Thank you @xxxsaturnxxx answering my question! I'm glad to read you're having a good experience with your FL dolls. I might take the plunge and try my hand (20th time) at owning a minifee.
@PinkBear Hi, I got my new Minifee girl this January, and her A-Line Body is very good and decent. She posing very good, stand s on its on, I m satisfied. Only one thing I do not like a lot, her magnet hands are very difficult to take off, and to put back again. Her wrists are little too big, on my opinion. Always now afraid to brake it. But maybe it is only with my girl personally, because my other tan Minifee does not has this wrists-hands problem. And anyway it is not so bad, I just taking hand off only if I really need.
@Dhaena Congrats on your new minifee girl and thank you for sharing your experience with her. The issue with the wrists and magnetic hands is something I experienced with the minifees I owned in the past. And I felt the same way about removing them.
My Ingrid was an in stock doll from DDE from her original release. Her hands aren't hard to take off and I actually worry I might end up losing one if I accidentally knock it off and drop it. But they aren't exactly loose and don't just fall off whenever... if that makes sense. I wonder if this is new mold/first run vs later run issues? I know molds deteriorate overtime so it seems like a possibility.
Thank you very much! I was happy to share with you, maybe it will help to make a decision. I really like my Minifee, and wrists..well yes, maybe it is better like that, than to be scared of loosing them somewhere all the time. Minifee is gorgeous doll. My first Minifee Carol in Tan is the same, her wrists are not so hard to take off, and i m like you, always afraid do loose them. So it s also not really good, agree with you. This minifee was also from Denver Doll stock, and I bought her in 2022, i think. Not sure, if it has something to do with mold first run vs later, but it can be possible. On my older Minifee hands was not so tight from beginning. Maybe they do wrists a little tighter now, so that nobody loose magnet hands anymore. But maybe also it s only accidentally.
Yeah, I kinda wish the magnets were a little stronger in the hands and feet as a fix for this issue. But not so strong that it's difficult to separate them when necessary.
Does anyone know how well nine9 clothes fit on A line minifee girls? Also if anyone knows Lami's wig size? Thank you!
I couldn't take it anymore and caved for the motion line Klaus in gray. I'm going to hybrid his body to make him a fake Fairyline to put on my black centaur. Does anyone have any examples of the gray skin? I've only seen a few pictures and I think I love it. I wanted to get him the smoke centaur (which I also haven't seen much of??) but it's just wayyyy too expensive on its own right now.
I got a Jiyu Vampire Elf in the gray resin and she's gorgeous!!! PXL_20230901_223738973.PORTRAIT by Scrunch, on Flickr Here she is blank Spoiler PXL_20240228_104333741.PORTRAIT by Scrunch, on Flickr and here she is with a face-up.
A have a little question; I own a Minifee Ria that I love and adore, but her headcap is incredibly loose. Have anybody else experienced this and if you do, what do you do to keep it on? It pops off so easily (even with a silicone wig cap and wig on) that I’m worried it’s gonna fall off and break one day
@Fractal I save this for one day that my minifee head cap might get loose. Maybe it can help you too. Credit : Instagram - Ball jointed bird
I have a couple of non-minifee dolls with loose headcaps and I just use a couple pieces of painter's/masking tape. It doesn't leave behind residue the way duct tape does so it's easy to peel up and restick if you need to open the head up and it's got more of a stronger hold then regular old clear tape
I have another little question; (also, that headcap hack really worked wonders ) Will A-line girl feet fit the Moe-line body's ankle piece? I'm considering getting a used Moe-line girl, but I *hate* the tiny feet that comes with it
@Fractal I do not know about the girls, but I do know 100% a male Moe-Line can use the default A-line/Motion-line flat feet. My Ceil (Moe-line Kyle) has normal sized feet as I hated with fire the tiny default feet he had. Not one pair of shoes fit them so I ordered an extra pair of male feet for the other sized boys at the time and they fit just fine with no issues. Disclaimer this was when the magnet feet were still kind of new and you could order the magnet ankles and feet for A-line boys alone as a way to upgrade older dolls to the new system. Also FL can have differences in fit with parts even in the same molds, loose head backs and/or face plates, feet or hands fitting tighter or looser between dolls, etc.
I saw it! A minifee size Medusa, many people will be in danger for sure Her face look a bit different from typical style of fairyland girl too!
Yes!! I'm a little shocked she's the spring doll, as I would have thought MNFs only go spooky for Halloween...
I know. I thought I would be safe until Halloween and yet here we are lol. This was going to be my year of cutting back on dolls. I'm in danger lol
damn I did see her and... my poor wallet I need her ahhh I think I'll actually cry if her event head is an elf!
@SuperShawol I did, and and I am hooked As a person more or less new to Minifees and Fairyland I have a question - I guess the new girl will be on an A-line body. If I want to order her head a la carte on a Moe body with face up, would that face up be the limited edition one, or something generic? Somebody knows maybe? Thanks
@Ashemanu Usually fairyland will offer the 'first faceup we see in the first time this sculpt came out' as default If the doll got release 2nd time (Like Maya the Valkyrie) that faceup will be limited. Since this is a new doll, you can assume that this is a default faceup for her. Participate in a split order for the head and faceup only also can be a choice
Same! Hoping and praying she's an elf and IW ish they'd bring them back more frequently. I have a feeling it'll be a vamp or expression head, but Phoeb's elf head was so exquisite (her entire release was such a refresh) and I REALLY hope her popularity was seen for the future!
I am so antsy to see her face better! I keep hoping more pictures will be up every morning! I have to admit to being kinda disappointed she doesn't have a Naga lower half option, though! FL did such an amazing job with Altis/Dina's hooves, I bet they totally could have made one! They even have the sea horse body to jump on! I guess that might be the next best thing instead though. I hope some people do this, it would be cool to see.
I wish Fairyland would release more Fairyline in general. Feels like it's been forever. I keep holding out hope for an F60 male dragon like Erda, but they don't even have an F60 Fairyline boy body at all Q_Q
On one of the FB post with her, someone asked if she would have a snake tail and be Fairyline and the reply was she was A-line sorry. I am hoping she is neither elf or vampire, for my poor wallet can't take another one so soon. Gods though she'd be lovely either way.
I agree. I think from her overall looks she might have been to be released along with Kanis, they share the same aesthetics, even the decoration in the promo pictures is the same. I think I read somewhere that Fairyland is a bit behind with their doll releases, so she might have been intented for the Halloween event.
She is so pretty I wanna cry and her name is Layla to top off the beauty of her. I can already feel she'll be a new fav. She 100% looks like a Peakswoods Hon though! Maybe a little too inspired lol, but she's drop dead gorgeous. And that OUTFIT! I haven't been a fan of any of the darker themed outfits because it's not really why I liked FL, but this one is wow. Simple, elegant and some of those pieces look fun to play with for other outfits.
I got my full pack Ariel today! She's stunning, I just wish the magnet for the hat was a little stronger. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with her! Edit: So I'm just a goof-- I was putting the hat in the wrong place and it actually works perfectly!
EDIT: NVM, I found the answer to my question. I just adopted a very special little MNF Chloe and I absolutely adore her. I used to get annoyed (many years ago) with how many Chloe's there were, but I've fallen to her charm officially She's so classic now and comforting and cute.
I popped open both my Cloe open eye and my Chloe sleeping head. The open eyed head just said Chloe in both the cap and the head, but the sleeping plate had Chloe 2 in both the cap and the head so perhaps you have a plate that was modified from a sleeping head or the previous owner switched the head caps (if it’s just in the head cap.) It could be they did it that way by mistake at FL too. I have gotten FL heads where they have missed identifying them completely inside. I know they were real because I got the from DDE.
@xxxsaturnxxx Thank you!! I've always wanted a minifee full set, and I'm glad she was the first I got! @brightberry I really like the ship. It's not painted, but I still feel like it holds a lot of detail despite that.
Perfect thank you! I'm so used to SP I was like... 2? xD I went on a wild dig and confirmed the girl I picked up was a modded sleeping head, so that explains everything. Thank yo uso much for confirming for me.
No problem! As you can tell by my avatar, she's my favorite! It lead to a bit of a photoshoot! So, I'll share Minifee fee Chloe sleeps by Jane K, on Flickr Spoiler: Close-up of face Spoiler: Over-view Minifee fee Chloe sleeps Spoiler: Over-view by Jane K, on Flickr Minifee fee Chloe sleeps by Jane K, on Flickr Spoiler: Wide shot Minifee fee Chloe sleeps by Jane K, on Flickr
I just saw the video for the new minifee girl Layla, she's so pretty! But thankfully she's not a MUST have for me right now. I might add her to my list of wants for later down the road though after I see some owners photos. I am more interested in her hands.... looks like she's got special long nail hands like Ingrid had. I wish they would sell those hands separately from the fullsets!
Her hands are fused to the glove, so the whole thing is just a mag on half gauntlet hand. She's so cool I could scream. I'm confused by the Phoeb release, but I'm not upset about it. They are both a must!
Hi all kind of new to the thread I haven't been on here in awhile - I really need to update my doll list. I have been getting excited cause I have Ariel coming in soon and the new girl Layla looks amazing so I am going to put her on layaway especially with the pic of the new event head - she is gorgeous!
Oh dear, I wasn't planning on any new minifee (gonna save up for a Fairyline Icarus next year) this year, but that vampire elf event head is gorgeous.
Even so, they would be cool as a separate item. I wish they would come out with more hand options again. I didn't really like the ones they just released not that long ago. Some long nailed elegant ones would be nice. If I could have, I would have ordered two pairs of the ones that came with my Ingrid. lol
Now the only thing left to do for Fairyland is to offer the Elf Gray skin tone for Minifee a la carte dolls during the event and we would all be in big trouble.
You know, the more that I look at the Phoebe event head, she also looks a bit like she was inspired by Peaks Woods. She reminds me of a mix of Vampire Romantic Dotty Muse and Vampire Rosemii. Not that it's a bad thing to me, because I personally like the aesthetic.
I definitely feel like this release has some inspiration going on, but I love it. My two favorite companies (besides switch) and I couldn't be happier. I'm really excited to order her as soon as I get through the hard part of deciding which colors/options xD Need her in grey, but I think regular normal skin would look amazing for her too? I feel like she's going to be one of those dolls I want in each color She's gorgeous. I'm also weirdly excited about the wig. Lucywen's wig is my favorite style, so getting it in a different color is pretty exciting to me. The elf grey event head option is SUPER exciting! Like @Amadiel said though I hope they open up elf grey options for MNF carte sometime. Not that my bank account needs that
