I have used 12mm with small (5mm) irises in My Phoeb.

The new shoes are gorgeous and I would love some of the hands too. I wonder if DDE will be getting/ordering them?

 

I hope DDE gets them, and the F60 versions I kind of want a pair or two.

 

How exciting! I want to get the clasping hands and the heart hands, which I thought were claw hands lol The “claw” ones I want to use for my magical girl like she’s casting a wicked spell! And the clasping ones I wanna put on two minifees to make them hold hands

 

So my new blue hands from Fairyland came just now. God, extra hands are my obsession with minifee. My icy boy has so many for each transformation. I like customizing them. If I was to get another doll extra hands will not be a problem.

The new upcoming Minifee is called Ariel =)

 

I love the new heeled boots, they look perfect for a little elf or other fantasy girl. I wish the sneakers were less ornate so they'd look more realistic, but maybe the tiny designs could be sanded off? Either way, very cool to have new option parts. Especially all those lovely hands. I'm really surprised how much expression you can give them just by changing the hands. It's also super fun to mix and match them.

 

The new hands and shoes are now being offered at DDE too.

 

Can I see some tan Minifees? Thinking about getting the new girl Ariel as my first tan Minifee.

 

Did someone say tan? I really love FL's tan, it's so pretty! Almost half my minifee are in tan!

Mostly all my dolls are tan. It's really beautiful changes color in different light from light brown to a pink glow.

There are a few pics of my tan Lami on Page 3! I do like the tan skintone, but did find that the extra tan hands I bought weren't even close to the same colour (all bought from Denver Doll). This makes me wonder how quickly the resin changes colour. I'm kind of tempted to try ordering the same hands MTO from Fairyland direct to see if they'd be a better match, given that Lami was made earlier this year, and I'm not sure when the extra hands were made.

I love fairylands tan skin, its so easy to photograph. Sadly the event heads can't be ordered in this skin tone. :/

The new event head (I'm pretty sure) is a sleepy vampire DES. My wallet. I just got my tan DES a few weeks ago. The only thing holding me back is they don't offer a faceup.

 

Oh there will be a Lookback head too :O

Everyone's tan dolls are gorgeous! I still have yet to paint my tan Lookback Shiwoo (that I've had for like a year now ) but I read that MSC can dry weird on tan resin so I'm scared to mess him up.

 

I got gouache paints and tried them out on Felicity's dreaming head. It is so much easier than acrylic for a fluid upper lid "liner" and eyelashes! Comparison of the new faceup on the right, and her old faceup on the left. The one on the left utilizes watercolor pencils for the eyelashes and eyebrow hairs. I also wanted it to look more natural so I toned down the cheek blushing and lip color. I was less worried about the eyebrow shape since her Monique wig has very long bangs haha. I also keep forgetting to put eyelashes on, though. Oops. Forever wishing they would re-release Marcia as a Lookback, but I don't think she was popular enough for them to justify it. (Still also struggling with the idea of re-shelling her into a more "grown up" looking sculpt like Maya or Sircca.)

 

heres my boy dressed in a way that is NOT his style but he still rocks it. Really wish FL would re-release kyle so i can get him in tan but he wasnt very popular either.

 

Does anyone know what scale/a company that heads would look more porportional on minifee heads?
here’s my dilemma, I really like minifee bodies and their head sculpts but I just don’t like them together… the heads look to big to me
But as mentioned I really like their body sculpt so I’m curious if there’s like a known brand that looks good hybrided onto the body?

also unrelated but I wish fairyland would release a minifee sized Rozen! I adore his sculpt but I don’t collect dolls over 50cm unfortunately

 

How often do you switch your dolls' hands? I'm trying to decide whether ordering some of the new hands is worth it... I like the idea of variety, but am unsure as to how often I'd really play with them.

 

@Aurify only when I need a specific pose, the other time my doll usually stay with default hands.

Most of my dolls do have a spare hands though, Fairyland or not.

 

DenverDoll has a bunch of blue and gray dolls in stock. My wallet is crying, but I'm trying to stay strong.

 

I was very tempted to get a blue or gray girl to go with my 3 blue boys, but I could not do that and get Nuia and Arial. In the end the elf and vampire pirate won.

 

Those in stock grey dolls are hurting me so bad, but I really don't want to settle for a sculpt I only mostly like. I wish I knew if they'd do this again with other heads so I can hold out for someone else. I had this idea for a grey boy on a black centaur body to make a storm horse, but I just really want a different head option. The FOMO is real.

 

That’s how I feel too! I’ve been wanting a fantasy color minifee for YEARS! I was so excited they finally did it, but in the end the particular head sculpts they offered I already either owned or wouldn’t have picked. I spent a lot of time pouring over owner pictures of the available heads, and am a little tempted by the vampires, but decided to hold off. FL made it sound like they’d be offering fantasy colors again in the future, I really hope so! I’m still worried I might regret not getting one this time around.

 

I know there's an event currently going on, but do we think there will also be a Christmas/holiday event? I'm more into 'winter' themed things than halloween-themed...

 

@Aurify FairyLand tries to have four events a year, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.
So I would say unless something goes wrong there will be a Winter event either in Dec, or Jan.
With the extra event in Summer where they offered blue and grey skin they talked about fantasy colors being hard to do and limiting batches to twice a year at most. So we might also see a bonus event with more new colors for skin tone some time in winter.

 

I repainted Felicity's main faceplate with my new-found love of gouache ( I will never paint eyelashes with acrylic again lol). I also stole eyes from my F60 Lishe. I had bought her new 12mm eyes for a smaller iris but there was gapping that really bothered me. This was also my first time putting eyelashes on a faceup! The lashes themselves aren't my favorite, but I found the process much easier than anticipated. Still debating on reshelling her into a different sculpt, but I'm much happier with her now.

 

I think you did super well with the lashes! They're always my least favourite part to do, haha.

I don't remember if I've posted my Ingrid b now that he's painted. He's a lovely little spooky man. I think I'll paint my skele boy soon for the spooky season.

 

Just ordered one of Denver Doll's in-stock blue dolls, the Fairyline Jiyu. He's my first Minifee, and was the most money I've ever spent on a doll. And I normally think about whether or not to order a doll for more than 3 days. Oops. I'm sure I'd regret not getting him, though. And in-stock shipping times are the best.

 

I have a question, I recently got my Akis order from Fairyland and I was wondering how to put the side fins on the merman body? The fins look to be attached by a magnet, but there seems to be a piece of protective plastic in the merman tail (one for the bottom tail, another two for the fins), so the resin around the fin openings won't break. I can't remove this plastic pieces for the side fins no matter what I try. I managed to attach the tail, but the side fins are still a mystery to me. Please help lol

 

I am waiting for the Winter event to order a Chloe. What do we usually get as bonus for the events? I have been many years out of the hobby now. Thanks!!

 

Typical Fairyland events have a head based on amount spent. I believe $650 to add the event MNF head. Sometimes they throw in other things, like special shoes or wings.

 

Recent events have required $750 for a minifee head and $900 for a larger doll head. With the addition of the new resin shoes, I am hoping they will add an option for a pair of those like they did a year or two ago.

just popping in to ask a question, are minifees and fairyland line different heights? I've been eyeing fairyland Akis but I'm confused if there is a difference in measurements?

 

The motion line MNF male and the fairy-line male are 90% the same I have both the main diff is their torso. The Fairyline dolls are strung in a way to make changing the human legs for like mermaids tails, or centaur parts, etc easy.

 

The fairyline girls also look a little bit slimmer in the waist too. It's VERY minimal though. Here's a pic I saved on Flickr(not mine):

I think I've finally found the perfect wig for my Celine! I hadn't really considered blonde, but it does complement her FL faceup (which is pretty light and delicate) so beautifully.

I got my blue Jiyu on Monday. He was in-stock at Denver Doll. He's my first Minifee and is on the Fairyline body. He doesn't have a name yet, but I totally love him!

You know what I think would be really cool if FL could make sometime? Big ol' resin fairy wings for minifee! Like the ones they made for feeple60 Erda. They could be al a carte like the mermaid tail, feather wings, and centaur body were. Or part of a fullset. Cuz Lord knows I'd buy an entire fullset to get painted fairy wings I wish they had a suggestion box lol

 

Oh that is a cool idea, a few types of fairy wings would be really nifty for MNFs to have.

I should see if my Erda F60 wings could also go on one of my MNFs just for fun. Lord knows they just sit in the box most the time unless taken out for a photo anyway.

 

I've seen his wings on a minifee before on insta! They looks so big and stately! I'm surprised they haven't made any for smaller dolls.

 

It totally would! I am planning to try making some faerie wings from wire and a thin resin myself in the very near future. I have 2 minifee who need them. I'm looking forward to the experiment.
