My love for minifees also began with Alan, he is such a cutie, isn't he!

 

He is, he was the first to really catch me, he definitely has to be my favorite sculpt out of the boys!

 

Ooh! DDE just got my Serenia in! Maybe she will arrive before the end of the week! So excited!

 

That's awesome new! Did you get a full set or just the doll?

 

I got the fullset! I am very much looking forward to seeing her in person.

 

Currently waiting on my recent Lami to come! She's going to be my DnD character, Amalthea, and I feel like I'm not ready for her arrival Nevermind the American Heritage chaise lounge I just bought for her!

My Minifee Serenia's came home. I ordered the normal Serenia head alc and the event A head, I think the event head is my favourite. I love her pouty lips and little teeth!

 

My fullset Serenia should be delivered today (finally)!

 

Oh gratz you guys Serenia is lovely, a little sad I passed on her. So hopefully there will be many owner pix soon.

I also hope that as the Serenias are starting to ship this means my blue A-line male, and blue vampire Chloe event head will be coming soon.

 

I just bought a Serenia off the marketplace! It’ll be fun seeing all the new girls around!

this is such an amazing hybrid!! I wanted to try larger dolls but can’t get away from my love for minifee sculpts. Might have to try this out! Did you have to do anything special to the neck or head?

Thank you! I didn't have to do much, I just swapped the s-hook for a 3D printed mnf neck key and that was it! I love the shape of the body, and Alicia looks cute on it in my opinion

 

Ooh can i ask where you got the neck key? And what skintone did you choose? that's seriously such a good hybrid

 

I know Denver Doll has them. I believe they are from Fairyland.

 

I got my neck key through shapeways originally, but they shut down briefly and I don’t know if the listing is back up. But if you know someone with a 3D printer here’s the thingiverse link:

Minifee neck connector by Lomilmalinde

I find it easier to swap from to the 3D printed neck key than the fairyland provided neck keys as it’s hard to get the FL elastic off it. With the 3D printed one you just slip the key part through the elastic, no full restringing recquired!

Mine is just printed in white, but you can’t see it with the head in place!

I meant the skintone for your impl body but it is good to know the key part doesn't matter! It's the 1/4 body right? It looks so much bigger than a 1/4. Your girl's faceup is also so lovely by the way, definitely one of my favorite alicia's out there

 

Oh! The Impldoll body is in real skin, which is a good match for Fairyland natural skin. It's the 1/4 Plump body, but she is hefty for a 1/4 girl, she wears Iplehouse JID sized clothing, but can fit some MNF shoes.

Ahhh! She’s here! My photos do not do her justice at all! She’s so glittery and I love how absolutely *done* she looks with everything!

I’ve got another wig and a pair of shoes coming from DDE for her so I can show off her pretty ears! I love her default wig but I can see myself tangling it so fast if she wears it constantly.

I also wasn’t expecting her knees to move so smoothly? I’ve only got a fairyline boy so maybe it’s a different thing, but her knee joints don’t click! I’m pleasantly surprised!

Sorry for the double post but I was able to pull together a winter outfit and I thought she looked cute. We’re preparing for the winter storm that’s about to hit New York.

YES! Congratulations! She’s gorgeous! I can’t wait for the influx of Serenia photos! Do you have a name for her?

 

I need to get pictures in the daylight, but my Serenia got here today. She's elfgray and her fullset is a lot prettier than I expected from the pictures, the little details really make it. The eyes are my least favorite part, but her headcap is on so tight she's keeping them for now.

@Klaw Would love to see her in elfgray. I love the full set too. It looks different depending on the skin tone of the doll. On my tan it stands out more, looks more bright.

I had the same problem with the head cap it's on so so tight. But one eye was looking a complete different way. What worked with me: I could get it a little open with my finger nail. Then slid a ribbon in there and pulled. Not sure if it was just luck. Some how that worked. But not trying it again.

I’ve also had a horrible time getting her head cap off. I hat how I have to hold her face to get a good grip to even try. I’ve had a little success with sticking my fingernail under and pulling up as hard as I can but oof it’s difficult.

 

I guess Briar is keeping the wig she stole from Braith. The new one I bought looks weird with her ears, and I like the blonde color on her better. I think Braith can pull off mint though, and it'll match his dragon legs now! And now that they both have shoes!

 

Does anyone happen to have a doll in the pure white skin with a face up? As I mentioned before I'm thinking about getting a Phoeb and really like the look of the pure white, but I'm a little worried the face up may look less appealing with a brighter resin. I had this problem with my beauty white F60 Miwa, she's lovely but I feel like her face up looks better on natural or tan skin.

 

Priya and I are anxiously waiting for her sister Nila (phoeb) to come home. I'm looking forward to having two minifee again.

I hadn't planned on getting Phoeb for a long while, but the hubby had me put her on layaway. She's my birthday gift! I ended up choosing natural skin as I'm still worried the default face up won't look as nice on the pure white.

Late night rambling because I am nervous about my daughter's surgery tomorrow and can't sleep.

 

@PinkBear gratz on your Karsh his is one of my fav FL heads, up there with Alan.

I love motion line boy body it's a little like the fairyline boy, but with some changes in how it's strung and how the legs work. I find it a little less fiddley to pose then the A-line boys, but all dolls have quirks. FL strings their dolls a little on the tight side, which sometimes makes it hard to add hot glue in the joints if needed. I find some motions boys and some a-line girls like to lean back when sitting up straight un aided. It's not all of them though just a few like to be dramatic I guess.

Fun bonus female a-line heel and kill heel feet can fit some motion line and fairyline boys, it comes down to casting batches.

I know my A-line guys if you wiggle the torso it can move the legs and vicey versy, but motions boys have less kickiness.

Oh if he has one of the new head backs (which he is an older mold so might not) those can be a bit tight. Older head caps can be loose easy fix for that is a bit of tape or tight wig.

Off of the top of my head I can't think of anything else for learning curve of this body, but again all BJDs have some quirks.

 

Yay for more Karsh! I bought 2 back in 2021 during the "discontinuing" sales period, after years of pining after the sculpt, so now I have one in NS and one in WS. They still need faces though. I only recently unboxed them after they've been in storage for years, so I haven't had time to "play" with mine yet.

 

I think this is the quickest I’ve ever bought two dolls at the same time. DDE has a tan Serenia with a faceup and I snatched her up. I think this new character is going to be a mimic that just so happened upon Briar in the woods or something and morphed into her instead of regular twins. I’ve always wanted a fairyland tan

does anyone have twins they can post to make me feel not weird about having two of the same sculpts?

 

I have Sylvia twins, but they are OE and dreaming. Sometimes you just like a sculpt enough to want to style it more than once, nothing wrong with that!

 

They’re both so pretty! That’s exactly what my thoughts were! I knew I’d really regret not getting her in tan, so I took the plunge!

Definitely! I have a few thoughts about the new girl being a mimic that meets Briar in the woods at sunset and turns into her and all the shenanigans she gets up to looking like Briar’s body double!

 

@Pen-Pen Congratulations you will love her just as much. If I really like a sculpt I have a hard time deciding on skin tone. It started with my first Fairyland doll Rin. I love her so much I have her in F60 too lol.

@Lillyroos - I love them! Even dressed the same and they still look different! These pictures are making me even more excited for her!

 

Taking a picture of both my Serenia together was hard. But I cannot choose I love them both. The tan for some reason looks magical when it's dark.
